Nice, small, friendly pub. A quiet place for friendly chats over a beer. It has its own individual, cool atmosphere.

Great little pub and lovely staff. Very olde England and unmatched ambiance.

Found this gem of a proper English pub when we were visiting the Regent Theatre. The atmosphere is brilliant and coming from the beer town ' Burton upon Trent' this is an amazing public house.

Great little boozer, nice selection of ales, friendly staff. Great music.

They don't do food but think Tracy is happy for you to bring your own in.

We visited the Regent Theatre Theatre was nice and the pub the unicorn was a nice pint and lots of places you can eat here but When you go further into town, you don’t feel at ease Quite a lot of people, hi on dust The pubs have security on the doors But the pub don’t seem very nice And don’t have a good selection of beers I would say, but with the worst city centre I have been to , and I visit a lot of city centres

I pop in onn a midweek lunchtime. Nice staff and regulars. Good pint at a good price. Highly recommend.

If in Stoke’s city centre, this is the pub to drink in. Alcohol: good range of drinks. Bitter on tap so my dad will be happy. Neck Oil lager for my brother. Lemonade mixer remained fizzy with my gin! Important info: small & cosy. Efficient bar staff. Opposite Regent Theatre. WiFi available. Fun fact: Brilliant range of pub snacks - mini Cheddars, Cheeselits etc - don’t get that in London any more!

Nice old fashioned pub with good selection of beers convenient for The Sugarmill if you want a drink before gig. Unfortunately it closes at 10.30 on a Saturday so couldn't go for one after

Popped in for a drink nedore going to the theatre. Always a friendly and welcoming pub, good selection of drinks. Always feels very relaxing atmosphere . Definitely recommend this place

Full on star wars bar,some prime specimens frequent this place . You won't disappointed and if you have 3 big toes and 6 fingers on ya left hand you'll fit right in...!

Really friendly place comfortable clean & a good selection of beers and spirits, it's also opposite the regent theatre 🎭 so it's handy for your intermission drinks that you can order from the friendly staff before the show, or just sit & relax with friends all in all a very nice place to visit.

What an excellent pub - a bit of old time comfort, great beer selection, so tidy and clean - polished tables, blacked cast iron stands, bright clean upholstery and a great little pub - an oasis in a street of noise and bright signage

**NO FOOD ORDERED** Overall good service and a nice pint of guiness( I will update with a photo as I think a tour of hanley is in order) Pint was allowed too settle with 3/4 inch head(happy days) very few bubbles making it quite creamy. Nice smoking area round back and is also partly sheltered, can get busy on theatre nights!!

Lovely proper pub in the centre of Hanley. Beer and service is always good.

A proper pub... ! One you can talk in, too, without saying 'pardon?' all the time! Friendly staff. Sensible prices. Always use it pre-theatre.. never thought of the half-time ordering provides that many mention here, but will think of it another time.

Lovely old tavern in Central Stoke. A large glass of Chardonnay and a pint of Old Rosie for less than a tenner, that'll do for me. Lovely staff too

Spotless inside and out. Landlord maybe a little too fussy spraying tables while people are still drinking. Lovely well kept beers. Definitely worth a visit ☺️

Still the old Unicorn I remember, but with a little less brass and copper on the walls and ceilings. Good pint of Bass on when I visited.

Fantastic little gem of a pub great selection of beers ciders & spirits. Cosy seating inside and lovely table & chairs out front in Piccadilly which is great on a sunny day watching the world go by with a drink or two. The owner is lovely and so are all the staff it’s perfect so for me definitely five stars.

A long standing favourite pub. Small unspoilt and now has a rear garden and seating outside on Piccadilly. Great beer, good venue pre theatre and will take orders for the interval too.

Amazing pub and even better staff! Such a welcoming feel from staff from the moment we stepped through the door, even when they were busy nothing was too much and there was always time for a little chat! Will 100% visit again if we ever find our selves back in the area!

This pub is for those who enjoy a good pint without loud music blaring away. It is commonly referred to as a drinkers pub. It's only a small venue and can get crowded when people go to or leave the theatre which is opposite.

Excellent traditional olde pub in the high street. A famous hidden gem. Hasn't changed in 40+ years. Brill. Real ale and fair prices. Cheap for the city.
