Starter - Butternut and ginger with coconut cream soup with side order of coco bread 10/10 delicious 😋 I would have had a second bowl if I could have managed it. Main - Monkfish tail in shellfish sauce with buttery mash, Ma's Benachin Gambian national rice and grilled stem broccoli outstanding.  Gambian rice highly seasoned and not what I was expecting. Still tasty.  Loved it. Dessert - Winter fruit crumble tart with Madagascar vanilla gelato! Struggled to finish but wasn't going to leave a scrap! This was a dining experience to remember. I ticked this off my list of fine dining!  Surpassed all my expectations! Myrtle the manager at Papa L's Kitchen was welcoming, friendly and made my experience enjoyable.  The service was good.  Meecha my server was very attentive. Overall I would highly recommend dining at Papa L's Kitchen.  I will be back.

I love it here - amazing food - today I just popped in for a coffee which was topped with a special Halloween spooky design. Always such a wonderful, friendly atmosphere created by Rachel , Angela and all the volunteers

Ayer tuve la oportunidad de probar por primera vez las arepas de Peter y debo decir que eran las mejores! Todos los ingredientes eran frescos y la carne tan jugosa y tierna. No puedo esperar a volver para probar las empanadas. 😝 No te pierdas su camión de comida todos los viernes en City Island junto a la estación de Canning Town.

Lovely friendly staff , great atmosphere , clean pub , amazing Sunday lunch can’t wait for piano man to come back. Lovely views when you come out of the pub, great selection of Gins and sprits, Love the dog menu

I came across this little gem of a cafe accidentally and was so glad I did. As it was later on in the day I had a decaf which was superbly smooth and had a great flavour. And the chocolate brownie was to die for. Plus super friendly and really quick service. I totally recommend this place!

Lovely bohemian cafe with friendly staff, great coffee & a choice of delicious cakes. A view of the bowling green lawns from the rear.

Jades is an excellent place to buy fresh produce and meat as well as many other tempting food items. I go there every week for these items and the quality is always first class. In addition, Jade and her mother are excellent sales persons and it is always a pleasure to visit.

Meeting here with lunch. Bruno who looked after us was wonderful. Amazing place steeped in history of racing. Lunch simple Christmas fare but delicious.plenty of private parking and overall a great place to meet and then socialise. Loved it

We pop in most weeks for ice cream and it’s always a lovely experience. Today’s staff were Katie and Jackie and they made us so welcome. Pineapple and Lime and Mango and Passion fruit ice creams are definitely the best way to get some of your ‘five a day’ 😂. See you again soon.

I've been here many times over the years. Last visit was February 2025. The staff are lovely and welcoming, and the café is super dog-friendly. They offer a wide variety of meals, with quality food at affordable prices. I particularly enjoy their full English breakfast and toasties! Their tea is lovely and always nicely presented. Perfect for breakfast and lunch. If you're in the area, it is well worth a visit.

Tuvimos el mejor tiempo en O'briens el jueves por la noche que tuvimos que volver por más en el viernes por la noche también. Ambiente increíble, gran personal y el mejor bar de karaoke en Mathew Street. Ya planeando nuestro próximo viaje de vuelta. Hasta pronto chicos. Mucho amor. Recomendaría 1000% a cualquiera 😁🍺🎤💃

This a proper little Gem of a place the food is absolutely unreal I'd 100000% recommend visiting here for food all plant based and vegan, we went twice in our week break away, the staff( family run) were amazing and they will definitely see us back there in the future even though it's an hour away i could spend a fortune here thank you guys the pek bad boy was banging as was the vacon deluxe keep up the good work 😀 😊

As a visitor to the town I came across Pier Red and was made to feel very welcome. The food looked amazing but unfortunately I'd already had lunch at a chain cafe. I wish now that I'd waited. The ladies serving were so friendly and helpful . I felt very at home with a lovely chilled white wine which they recommended. The atmosphere for a Wednesday afternoon was warm and friendly, I should also add the toilet was immaculate.

A hidden gem and a brilliant addition to Oakham. The menu is really imaginative and offers a great variety of dishes. Food is good value and utterly delicious. Staff are friendly and welcoming.
