Made to feel welcome by Tony the owner just before the England game.
Peroni on draft & quality cocktails.
Free snacks at half time and amazing atmosphere.
Will most definitely be back.
Thank you so much.

I came here for the second time as not normally in the area. The owner recognised me and is very friendly.
Latte very good and nice tables outside with cushions. Lovely to sit in the sun!
Lovely little cafe. I'll be back next time I'm nearby.
It’s lovely to see Tooting market doing so well with new up and coming small businesses. This is definitely one of the best. What you can see as a simple addition to chips and nuggets has made literally a mouth watering difference. Seriously guys. You have to try there different flavours. Great for a light snack for browsing around the market and town or to put you by until dinner later. It is a family run business and it’s also nice to see that the value for money is more than fair.
I can’t believe this isn’t more of a mainstream thing. Highly highly recommended.
Amazing food, soda bread melt in your mouth with mackerel pate, Lemon sole, layered chips and my favourite, cabbage, I need the recipe.
Excellent service- Hannah was very knowledgable about each dish on the menu and her calm, pleasant manner added to a very enjoyable evening.
Great food and service all at a reasonable price. Several Polish people eating there, one from Manchester.
We ate off the Polish menu, everything was very good.
So I’m not normal one to leave a review, that being said overall I was hugely disappointed with the meal I had at the Knipe Grill at Gilpin Lake House.
Firstly
- we were show to our table and and iPad dropped on the table. Yes this is a menu and yes I can work and iPad. But with the hotel boasts 5 stars I expect a little more interaction.
-With an experienced chef David with many
an accolade, unfortunately I was underwhelmed.
You quote “My food is fun, there’s always a bit of a story behind it, a bit of nostalgia and playfulness”
Sadly there was no story no fun. This was primarily down the the service and the lack of engagement, talking us through the menu, championing and highlighting locality, seasonally and recommendations. The level of service we received for the price paid just wasn’t up to standard.
- and finally whilst I know this is a hotel with a hot tub, there is something about having a group of people in bath robes walking through the restaurant heading to the hot tub a little strange. I wouldn’t expect this from a restaurant in a 3 star Spanish hotel, let alone a 5 star very expensive hotel/restaurant in the lakes
In summary the restaurant's inexperience staff led to poor service, which significantly impacted the dining experience. The lack of knowledge and attentiveness resulted in frustration and dissatisfaction. While the food showed potential, it ultimately fell short of the expected standard considering the price paid. Overall, the combination of what seemed like inexperienced staff and underwhelming food quality makes this restaurant a less than satisfying choice.
Sorry for this review but unfortunately this is a true reflection of my/out experience.
Came for breakfast yesterday with my family, 10/10 experience, the service was amazing, the food portions were massive! And food came really fast, it was very tasty. They have high chairs for the little ones too☺️ definitely recommend 10/10
Plumgarths Crook Road Unit 7, Lakeland Food Park, England
We first bought bread from Lovingly Artisan at the market in Kendal, then later from their bakery at Plumgarth's Farm Shop. Everything we tried was delicious and if we lived in this area, this would be our go to for great quality bread. If you’re lucky you may score a free tasting on their countertop from samples put out and once you’ve had a taste you’ll be coming back for more. Highly recommended.
Excellent little place, which from the outside looks nothing like an Indian restaurant, but the food is fantastic.
Give this place a try, you won’t be disappointed
Went for some dinner with 3 grandkids (from 7 to 1 years old), Louis the chef went above and beyond to cater to all of us. The food was glorious and the kids and adult all really enjoyed the food.
Four of us went for the Christmas afternoon tea. What a treat. Fantastic, fresh sandwiches - good salmon, cucumber and cream cheese. The wraps were amazingly tasty - a mixture of chicken and turkey with an aromatic twist to the Coronation chicken.
Miniature quiches were to dye for!
Scones are lovely, little pastries homemade and delicious.
We were offered non-alcoholic champagne and tea and coffee were flowing continually. Perfect tastes in glorious surroundings. Most highly recommended.
Y realmente genial verlos haciendo pizzas. ¡Volveremos!
New owner is really nice and went out of his way to get his staff member to make us Floater coffees even though they are not serving food yet. Owner seems really nice as well as his young staff. Barman not so warm and friendly but is efficient and works hard.
