Meeting here with lunch. Bruno who looked after us was wonderful. Amazing place steeped in history of racing. Lunch simple Christmas fare but delicious.plenty of private parking and overall a great place to meet and then socialise. Loved it

Glorious surroundings, excellent food, first-rate service and an all-round five-star experience. I'm not that easily impressed, but having three Stubbs paintings (each supposedly worth £40m, and well insured), a multiplicity of rooms, loos that are straight out of a fusty gentleman's club in Mayfair and attentive staff... well, it's enough to make anyone's day. It's a cross between an art gallery and a stately home. Even if you don't particularly like horses, you can't fail but be impressed by the statuettes of old Derby winners, the riding breeches of long-departed jockeys, paintings of the Queen with a horse and the Sultan who's just divorced his missus for £500m with another horse... the fun goes on and on. The food quality was exceptional, and the whole experience will live long in the memory. Treacle-cured salmon with crunch-through crispy crab was a great starter, and the fillet of beef Rossini was worthy of an overture. Also, a cracking good cheeseboard. Will we be back? Huh! Is the sea wet?

Having heard amazing things about the Jockey Club, my wife and i decided to have a much needed date night, and we was not let down! Upon walking in the the beautiful decorated hotel, we was greeted with champagne and a seat, surrounded by beautiful paintings covering the wall. We placed our order whilst sipping our drinks and then was called into the main restaurant once our first course was ready to go. The food was amazing from start to end, and the Chablis Cruz we ordered to go with it was equally as delicious! The manager, who was doing an amazing job of making us feel special, made us feel at ease as soon as we met him and couldn't help us enough from food choices to wine pairings. Safe to say, it was the perfect evening and one that we won't forget for a long time!

We booked Sunday lunch and Jazz for the 3 of us and we were not disappointed. Attention to detail, lovely menu and the most amazing setting, its hard to believe its in the middle of Newmarket. A little on the pricey side, mainly due to drinks, but at £42.00 per person for a 3 course meal with entertainment (Sunday Jazz) then its good value for money. If you are looking for something a little different for a special occasion then this is the place. Try and book over the summer for lunch and jazz you will love it! Also, you will get the opportunity to visit a very exclusive club with racing memorabilia going back many years. Lovely!

Wonderful Sunday lunch in a historical and unique setting. Excellent staff, beautiful surroundings we were made to feel very welcome. There was a good selection on the menu to choose from and the waiter was able to talk through the menu and make recommendations based on our conversation.

First time visiting The Pantry Fine Foods and as the saying goes, it does what it says (on the tin) ... best summed up as a hint of USA but the best of Brit versions of USA food which remains, better than actual USA scran. It's easy to understand why the place was packed...but the service was, spot on. Go and enjoy the enthusiastic servers and clearly, most capable chefs who worked tirelessly to maintain obvious satisfaction throughout the restaurant.
