The best restaurants in Wakefield North Wakefield Yorkshire and The Humber

Visited tonight the for the 3rd time, we used to go around to different curry houses in wakefield but now Syhiba has become a regular for us as the food and price is incredible. Great food and the service is incredible. No place will beat the friendly waiting staff and the presence of Peter Andre he just makes the meal that extra bit better of an experience. The only thing I would say could improve is the table was a bit cramped on a couple of occasions. PS apologies I dropped a bottle on the way out but as always staff were great.

I ordered homemade tomato soup, which I paid £7.00 for. When it arrived, it was a Salmon colour substance...of a mushy texture. It was nothing like a homemade soup as I've eaten and ordered this in many cafes...... I queried it with the waitress who took it away and arrived back minutes later with the same soup that had been watered down, which was now a lighter shade of salmon! She told me this had just been freshly made for me. I didn't want another uncomfortable conversation, as I'd felt the first time I'd asked. Other customers around me remarked on it, too. Sadly, it tasted as bad as it looked. I decided to leave quietly as I didn't want to make a scene. TBH, other dishes being served did look ok. I didn't take a picture... but maybe I should have.

So 14 of us came here on my daughters 13th birthday. And what can I say the service was brilliant staff really friendly and food was outstanding will definitely be back

I come here as they cater for my son been gluten free, and not many places give this option. Brilliant staff 👏

Absolutely terrible do not go here at all. We came on many different occasions from a different city , first time they didn’t have the dish we wanted even though it was only one in the afternoon, second time we even rang and said please save us two of these dishes and they still didn’t have it . Very disappointing

I've visited this restaurant many times with friends and family, and every single visit has been superb. There's clearly been a lot of thought put into the interior design. When I went at Christmas their Christmas tree was absolutely beautiful and they took so much time and care to make it perfect too. The attention to detail didn't go unnoticed by me. The restaurant is lovely, clean, well put together, and has a warm and welcoming feel. Whilst some may look from the outside and not think it looks much, they'd be pleased to see what a treasure awaits them. The staff are incredibly friendly and make you feel valued and like part of the family. Every meal I have eaten has been simply amazing! It is so fresh, healthy, and incredibly tasty. What a treat! What's more, the food is prepared so freshly and quickly it's out in no time and piping hot too. Perfect! Pot Pot is an absolute gem of a place, and I hope it stays around for the long haul as I love my regular visits and always tell people about it. As you can probably tell, I thoroughly recommended it. No salad with starters. Soggy oily onion bhajis. Wrong rice sent. 1 curry full of oil, really not pleasant, the other curry far too salty. Delivery nearly 2 hrs. Most of the food went in the bin. Complete waste of money. Very disappointing!

Lovely little cafe our friends recommended. Popped in for breakfast. Had the full works. Very clean, quick service and friendly.

Quite possibly the best restaurant in Wakefield. Service is always good and the menu changes quite often so I never get bored. Reasonably priced considering other restaurants close by.

Awful food. Watery curry. Small container at £10. Starters hard raw onions in an onions barji even the chips were like cardboard.

It was a busy early Saturday evening. The service was acceptable, but the staff were a bit rushed. It wasn't very warm and my friend put her jacket back on. However, the food was really lovely. Served hot. I would go again. Mid priced.

What a gem this place is. Welcoming, the smell of freshly cooked food, the decor. Then the food arrives and it's amazing. Slow cooked lamb and beef kleftico all fresh. The baclava is heavenly. The owners Alec and Julie are very hospitable. For a lovely, friendly atmosphere it's perfect.

The food looks and tastes absolutely delicious. Staff were lovely and the service was really good. We’ve had takeaways from here before and they’ve always been great but it was really lovely to eat in the restaurant.
