Sunset Goa in Wakefield

Food was 30+ mins late, food was just about warm but had to re heat the curry and chips. Once warmed up it was lovely. No issues with an order being late just would have liked to of been informed.

Usually nice food. Turned up late after waiting over an hour, mango dip missing, food was lukewarm and fish pakoras weren’t even slightly crispy and were a horrible soggy, slimy mess. Won’t return

A small curry restaurant on the edge of town. We went on a Wednesday night. Very quiet. Good selection on the menu. Good selection of soft drinks including mocktails. Bring your own alcohol. Food was very tasty, flavoursome and temperature hot.and they knew and recognised allergens. No parking, although there is a car park around the corner

Hot, fresh and tasty food. Ordered twice now and everything we have had has been absolutely delicious, our new go-to place for a curry! Highly recommend the Butter Chicken!

Called the restaurant Monday 29th July at 6pm to book a table for Tuesday 30th July at 6pm name contact number taken not a problem. On chatting with friends we could not work out if it was bring your own booze or if you was able to purchase in the restaurant! So I called the restaurant to ask! and i was told at 4.45pm Tuesday 30th July ' oh sorry I forgot we are closed Tuesdays" I was shocked and in utter disbelief that a staff member taking bookings can forget that the restaurant is closed! Talk about waste of time! If your wanting to book a table and actually have the restaurant open go elsewhere!

the driver delivered to the wrong address, 3rd time this has happened. the restaurant sent another order and this arrived. I find it hard to understand how a wrong delivery van happen when they use postcodes. the food today wasn't gr at either which is a surprise considering it is usually excellent.

Absolutely delicious start to finish! Great food, dips/ pickles were unlike any other takeaway I've had and were lush and they gave me a free pappadum and dips. Keep doing what you're doing! 💪🏻

Tried here for the first time and it definitely won’t be the last . Absolutely amazing Indian food …the best I’ve had in years !! £55 for 3 people poppadoms & pickle tray , starters, curry’s & sides & soft drinks ! What an amazing little hidden gem this place is

Wow very disappointing tonight, there was literally enough oil to run my car for 6 months curry itself had separated due to amount of oil big thumbs down from a regular customer 👎

Our new favourite Indian takeaway in the Wakefield area. Always happy to amend dishes due to dietary requirements and delivery is great. Paneer tikka starter is so so good.

Enjoyed a few takeaways and sit down meals from Sunset Goa now and it's definitely my number one choice in Wakefield for quality Indian food. Their speciality Panaji dish is stunning. If you like a little more heat ask for Asian style. My wife is pescatarian and there is loads of choice, while they are very flexible with adding to their dishes to suit your taste. Top class naan breads too! It's not super fancy inside but it certainly is excellent food. Abdus is a great host front of house. He always has a welcoming smile on his face and finds time to have a laugh with us. It's BYO but there are fridges to keep your beverages chilled and nice glasses. It's card only or bank transfer. Their own app is very good and means you get offers as a result of them saving on paying commissions to other multi-takeaway choice apps.

Food & service okay. Could not pay by card when told over the phone that we could. Had to run out to use cash machine then told no change given. Restaurant must have made £70 in tips!! What a joke!!!

Honestly one of the best curries we’ve ever had. Everything from start to finish was amazing! We were given the most options we’ve ever seen on a pickle tray with our poppadoms, everyone thoroughly enjoyed their starters - best puri I’ve ever tasted and the bhajis were perfect - we all requested spice variations on our curry choices and they were all lush cooked to perfection, and the sundries were absolutely spot on also. Service was great, friendly and welcoming and the price was nothing compared to the food we were served. We’d be back in a heartbeat.

Went here last night and the food was unreal every body raves about Syhiba but they need to give this restaurant a try, Abdus who was the waiter and server was fantastic and entertained the little ones also, defo be back

Went in for menu and a chat about an authentic Goan vegetable curry. No one to serve me after waiting 5 minutes I left.

Abysmal. Foolishly decided to give this place another chance after our last order was bang average but previous ones for a long time were good. Something has clearly changed with this place and we will NEVER order again. Order arrived an hour after initial stated time, cold, gristly chicken and just grim looking in general. Really nice curry, good flavour and portion sizes and they threw in some free popadoms and chutney. It came piping hot and it was early. Will definitely be ordering again!

I ordered a vegetable masala and chicken pieces were in it. Really disappointed. Meant my other half couldn’t eat it due to medical reasons and the restaurant was shut when we called them to explain the situation meaning we had to order elsewhere. Extremely upset.

Our favourite Indian restaurant we’ve been loads of times now and they never let us down. Stunning food and very good service always with smile. Such a nice place to visit.

All dishes were excellent. We called up to explain one of our guests had an allergen and the gentleman on the phone was very helpful. Will definitely order from here again.

It was really nice, good to get a decent vegetable curry. A bit on the pricey side and my Dad thought his onion bhaji's were rubbery BUT quite delicious.

Found on just eat ...first time ordering , sent free pickle tray and poppadoms and the curries were full of flavour and delicious, best Ive had in Wakefield. Will be ordering again 👍

Have ordered from here for a while with no issues. Tonight the food was late despite them marking that it had been collected by a driver about 40 minutes before it arrived. We order the same curry and tonight it was wet with no flavour or consistency. It wasn't reduced enough as they were clearly rushing to deliver orders. Unfortunately will be going elsewhere now

Amazing food, best Indian I’ve had by far. Always been my go to since I found it and have never been disappointed. The food tastes fresh and authentic. Mostly always arrives early too!

Madras was more akin to a medium curry, no real rich sauce, quite washy, pity because the chicken was lovely. Chicken pakora starter were a little strange too.
