The best restaurants in Middleham Richmondshire Yorkshire and The Humber

We have had food from Andersons 3 times, the food has been excellent everytime. Last time I had a vegan pizza - best pizza I've had in a long time.

Everything about The Saddle Room Restaurant was perfect. A Gluten free request for one guest was specified when we placed the booking. When we arrived the Gluten free menu was waiting for us on the table, the bread roll that arrived was gluten free for that guest, all the dishes for both gluten-free and standard menu were delicious. Can honestly say if we lived closer this would be our regular visit. I thoroughly recommend this restaurant!

A very quiet pub when we went in, real ales were great and kept well. I did find out this pub is up for sale so maybe that is why the atmosphere was a bit lacklustre.

Excellent haddock and chips. Really fresh, crisp battered, plenty of fish and a HUGE portion of delicious chips. The only white fish they serve is haddock, although the special was salt and pepper squid. Friendly service

What a gorgeous, welcoming pub/restaurant this is! Recommend by East Witton Shepard’s hut whereby it has absolutely lived up to its positive reputation! Alf could not have done enough for us, checking and refilling our drinks with the most attentive and kind service, thank you so much! Will travel 3 hours for this again anyday!!

One of the most fantastic meals I've ever had. Staff where amazing, big shout out to Alf for their impecible hospitality. If I can recommend anything, (and if you're lucky enough for it to still be on the specials) the venison and chorizo scotch eggs are to die for. The Guiness is also brilliant. Friday 25th April 25 4:30pm. We were the first customer through the door. Be aware this is a new owner for less than a year so don't take notice of older reviews. Wow! Five stars.... Except for atmosphere... I don't think I have ever visited a takeaway chippy with "atmosphere"... 🤣🤣 The lady serving was nice and we had a nice chat while the food was cooking. Haddock and chips takeaway, my wife had scampi on there own (10) and mushy peas and curry sauce. The chip portion was excellent and didn't need two portions as we are older and also had some buttered rolls too (from a different establishment), The fish was excellent, the mushy peas and curry sauce were both excellent and a very good portion compared to most chip shops. Will visit again next time we are in the area. Middleham is a really village with the castle dominating the skyline.

This is our second stay with this hotel & we’ve eaten here on many occasions. The food & service are exceptional. The hotel is in a perfect location too. I highly recommend this place. We love it!

Just came back from a night in the Dante arms, lovely place to stay and really friendly staff. Rooms were very clean and comfortable, breakfast was amazing too could not fault anything and excellent value for money.

We have been coming here for nearly 15 years - still enjoy it as the first time. A traditional rural hotel with smart local food. Service excellent.

We were very lucky to book a table for 7 of us on a Saturday night at short notice! The hostess was so lovely and so accommodating as we had a 2 year old dining with us. 4 of us had steaks which we all requested to be cooked differently and each one was absolutely perfect. So so tasty and thick. Some of the party had pork and they said it was incredible! So beautifully presented and even the 2 year old finished every bit! We had space for desert and were not disappointed! My dad had the sticky toffee pudding and he said he was the best he had ever ever had!! A really lovely atmosphere. The wine we had was delicious! We were so very well looked after and the team called us by our names which I thought was an amazing detail. Would absolutely recommend! Do not miss it! Will come again. Thank you team!
