We have had food from Andersons 3 times, the food has been excellent everytime. Last time I had a vegan pizza - best pizza I've had in a long time.

Was so looking 4ward to this and not really didappointed! Had thought we would he in the saddle room but in the other barn. Booked ahead and was taken to table in back with little atmosphere..having said that staff were kind..helpful and a bit later did offer to move us into the main venue..live music good but we were a bit out of it. Hog roast good..pork a little dry...nice sides and roasts ..will try again....

Outstanding beers atmosphere and value. We were there when previous reviewers Isabella & Richard L were complaining on New Year's Eve. Their opinion is not ours (& everyone else in the bar btw who sat and watched her bemoan a pheasant burger meal which she ate and then asked for a refund on) - this the polar opposite of our opinion. Thought the owner dealt with her professionally and politely. Enjoyed Timothy Taylors Landlord, local cider (one of 7 cask pumps) and some great food. Recommended 👍

A really lovely little hotel and restaurant with a cosy bar and wood burning stove. The staff were excellent and Fiona the owner was incredibly helpful and attentive. Middleham is a lovely village with a number of welcoming pubs and a convenience store. There are a number of lovely walks of varying length and difficulty starting from the centre of middleham.

We've stayed twice for weekends away. Once for our anniversary in 2023 with my girlfriend and recently as a Christmas trip away with my now fiancée. The staff at the pub were very nice and pleasant both times, the dinner and breakfast was good to. The liver pate and the steak burger was good for the evening meal and the Yorkshire breakfast hit the spot in the morning for me. I liked the cider that was on draft too. The room and bathroom were clean and it helped make it a nice quiet place to relax. Overall, we really enjoyed our visits/stay and time together. I'd recommend.

Stopped by for a drink and a bite to eat after visiting the forbidden corner today. The pub was lovely and warm with three fires going! Really cosy and nicely decorated inside. The food was lovely and hearty and really warmed us all up. Definitely one to stop at if you find yourself in the area. Staff were friendly too!

In all my many many years in North Yorkshire & only living in the next village on, I'm embarrassed to say we had never been here before. However, after today's visit, we are definite fans! Lovely ambience, lovely staff & owner. Sunday lunch was delish. An easy choice to make when booking our next Sunday lunch time treat. Really impressed. Thank you.

We booked here for a Sunday lunch, as a group of six (3 x couples) staying locally. We enjoyed a lovely drink the bar area, whilst perusing the beautiful menu and wine list. We were seated at a lovely table in a restaurant with classy and elegant decor. The food, every single dish, was sublime - well crafted, tasteful and beautifully presented. The sea food and meat were all of an excellent quality. I highly recommend trying the pork with the Sunday lunch which is free ranged reared by the owners themselves. The wine list was diverse and clearly well thought out. It had something for every taste and budget. The service was friendly, warm and welcoming. We really enjoyed learning about the owners farm. We will absolutely return and I highly recommend this lovely restaurant. I think it’s madness that they can serve such high quality food, so well for £29 per person - the value proposition of the Sunday Lunch menu is phenomenal. This was genuinely one of the best meals I’ve eaten in quite some time. Do it!
