The Wensleydale Hotel in Richmondshire

A really lovely little hotel and restaurant with a cosy bar and wood burning stove. The staff were excellent and Fiona the owner was incredibly helpful and attentive. Middleham is a lovely village with a number of welcoming pubs and a convenience store. There are a number of lovely walks of varying length and difficulty starting from the centre of middleham.

Went for dinner, warm welcome, lovely decor. Food was superb.

We dined at the Wensleydale for a family birthday having visited previously for a drink and being suitably impressed by the service. We returned for Sunday lunch which was superb - certainly the best I've sampled in the region so we'll certainly be returning when next in the area!

We had an absolutely lovely time here. I can't commend the staff enough, they were really the best part of our experience. Rui & Monty took amazing care of us with a very personal touch and cooked us lovely breakfast every morning. The selection of food is extensive too and the rooms very well equipped. I was very happy to have a bath tub in our room. We got a free I upgrade. Highly recommend

Excellent restaurant... Good choice of well prepared tasty dishes, very reasonably priced.

Received our stay here as a gift and it was great. Had dinner, bread and breakfast. Fiona was a wonderful host and between her and Rui, they made us feel so welcome and provided first class service. I would definitely recommend and hope to be back there soon.
