Wonderful three course lunch in a lovely room, Great service and delicious food. Would highly recommend this location.

Attended here Saturday in a group of 15. The food was excellent. Most of us had Steak, everybody commented how tasty it was. The chips were delicious. The service was very good. Well worth a visit.

Proper traditional fish and chips shop. Very reasonably priced and always a good quality meal.

Called in for a quick drink at 4pm while out having an afternoon bicycle ride. We were well received and there was a log burner heating the bar area. The packet of crisps and pork scratchings were washed down with a SanMiguel 00 and half a Thatchers. Booked in for a Sunday Roast on the 8th and went on our merry way.

Just enjoyed a Sunday lunch to celebrate my birthday, thoroughly spoilt, very attentive, nothing too much trouble, food was tasty and filling. Great setting and location, definitely be going again!!

I don’t normally write reviews but was that impressed with the Sunday lunch I’ve just had that I thought I’d share. Quite simply it was the best meal and service I’ve had in a long long time. Despite it being a Sunday afternoon and packed inside, the service was prompt and faultless - the Sunday lunch was absolutely delicious and reasonably priced- would thoroughly recommend

charlotte and luke are doing a great job. always welcoming with a smile and a chat. the bar staff are great and pull a great pint (especially guiness). karaoke and disco nights always a laugh. just what it needed!

The phone number is defunct and the venue is completely shut despite it being in the middle of their published hours. I suspect that it has closed down.

Had a fantastic lunch........great food and friendly service......the wood burner made for a lovely warm atmosphere. Good value for money....... we will be back next time we are in the area.

We were staying nearby in hotel on staycation, first bar meal in over a year and it did not disappoint. Everything was hot and home cooked. Staff and landlord welcoming. We ordered: Cheesy garlic mushrooms Steak and ale pie and chips. Curried chicken rice and chips. Kids chicken nuggets and chips. Kids lasagne and chips. Chocolate fudge cake/ ice cream. Ice cream was so creamy it was really nice! All meals were delicious. Loved the old fashioned pub exterior. Would recommend. Food came quick. No photos sorry we were too busy tucking in.

Visited with friends for lunch. Meal was OK,but received no milk with hot drinks. Went to ask for some, staff didn't speak,seemed quite disgruntled about it. Lots of tables were not cleared during our time there,including ours. Cakes very over priced,so didn't purchase. £3.99 for a small brownie,£2.99 for a small egg custard. Won't be rushing back. Think they need to employ more staff at lunchtime.

This is the meal that we received for our 73 year old Gran. The gravy was nothing but grease, every time, and she couldn’t even eat it. These meals were sent unwillingly so unaware how much they cost, but I wouldn’t put them down to a dog. Would never recommend, no matter the price.

Visited a few weeks ago and ordered a “special” that had the consistency of water and tasted like a microwave meal. Worst curry I have ever had. Avoid.
