The best restaurants serving British food in Ridge North Lincolnshire Yorkshire and The Humber

Took wife here lastnight for a meal. Food was exemplary and service excellent too. Stunning little place with an open fire and well stocked bar, the menus are exquisite and not your average pub menu so if you fancy burgers or chicken nuggets, don't visit. Food is pricier than a standard pub but the food is worth it and so the price is perfectly matched. Will visit again soon.

How this pub has got such positive reviews, god only knows...From the exterior it looks like an inviting village pub, however, the positives end there. The interior is painfully neglected, run down and in desperate need of thoughtful restoration. Furthermore, there was not even one cask beer on offer. All in all a truly depressing experience. If you are a discerning drinker who appreciates a traditional village pub with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, then I would suggest that you steer well clear of this tasteless dump.

The phone number is defunct and the venue is completely shut despite it being in the middle of their published hours. I suspect that it has closed down.

Visited with friends for lunch. Meal was OK,but received no milk with hot drinks. Went to ask for some, staff didn't speak,seemed quite disgruntled about it. Lots of tables were not cleared during our time there,including ours. Cakes very over priced,so didn't purchase. £3.99 for a small brownie,£2.99 for a small egg custard. Won't be rushing back. Think they need to employ more staff at lunchtime.

Great food and a top atmosphere. Nice busy bustling pub.

By far the best meal of the whole year for our regular group of about 12 of us ex NLTC staff. Xmas dinner was brilliant. No other establishment comes near it.. No wonder it's probably fully booked again for next year. A.SttClair

I came without booking as I knew it could be busy with Christmas Lunch parties, but I was able to get a table for myself. I had the three course Christmas Lunch. The food was plentiful and tasty. The staff were very accommodating.
