A Bite to Eat in North Lincolnshire

20 plus of us go 6/7 a year for a breakfast prior to fishing at Messingham Sands , never heard one complaint. Great value and service.

By far the best meal of the whole year for our regular group of about 12 of us ex NLTC staff. Xmas dinner was brilliant. No other establishment comes near it.. No wonder it's probably fully booked again for next year. A.SttClair

Food was lovely. Cafe busy. Customer service not very welcoming, felt as if we were an irritation to them. Will think long and hard before we go back.

We were looking for lunchtime food after going off piste in New Whittington. Great selection of breads and delicious fillings. Friendly staff and low prices. Only one table, which suited us.

Visited on a whim with friends for Breakfast, served very quickly, was very good quality and excellent value for money. Absolutely nothing to complain about at all. Well worth a visit.

We had a Sunday lunch and it was the best I have ever had. Everything was cooked to perfection and the gravy was 10/10. We will be back. Thank you.

Myself and a friend visited this cafe as part if a break stop on our bike ride. And was really impressed. Nice clean place with very friendly staff. Which would account for it being quiet busy. Excellent wide varied menu with generous portions of food at a very reasonable price. Ticks every box for me. If your that way on please check it out you won't be disappointed. Me and my family went for Sunday lunch on the 24/4/2022. Had a warm welcome when we arrived- took a drink order first, followed by the lunch order. The girls were all polite and attentive. The starters and mains were both excellent- the portions were plentiful, well presented and hot. All plates were empty which is always a good sign. All too full for a dessert, although we did have a couple of take out puddings to enjoy later. Highly recommend this place, excellent service and value for money. Big compliments to the chef Tony. We look forward to our next visit.

Note this is under new management since previous reviews and it is now well worth visiting. We went yesterday for Christmas Lunch which we had pre-booked. On arrival there was already a large group in place of about 40 people plus other smaller groups. The menu is limited but with 3 or so choices for each course as you would expect at this time of year. Our order was taken very quickly and we did not have to wait long for the food. It was all very well cooked and good portions. The vegetables in particular were cooked just right and not a soggy mess.. The meat was more than generous. I somehow managed all 3 courses and everything was perfect (£15 for 3 courses! ) , fantastic value. The waiting staff could not be faulted and were attentive, polite and quick. We were informed that all the meals were cooked by just a single chef without any help. This was amazing as all the food served throughout the cafe was piping hot and all of it served together which often does not happen even in the more expensive places.

Heard great things about this place so went there for breakfast 9.30 on a Wednesday morning to find it SHUT. No details on website or sign outside what hours/days they are open. What a shame.

this delightful café is of a high standard well loved by all who visit,we had the full English breakfast very filling they also have a full menu for lunch caters for most diners,well worth visit.

We visited for the first time for a Saturday morning breakfast as is our regular practice. The price was good in that our total bill was less than £10 for two breakfasts and drinks. However, the quality was not there. It was all hot, but all the ingredients seemed to be the cheapest and I've never had a latte like it. I can only assume it came out of a machine. So if you are satisfied with cheap cheerful it is OK, but we prefer to pay a bit more for quality. The location was very nice being next to a fishing lake, but I don't think we would go back based on this visit.

Riding with some pals and we stopped here around 11.30. I had beans on toast with poached eggs and a pot of tea. All very nice too Nothing flash or plush about the place but it's great food, nicely presented, very pleasant staff who give table service, and it's all very clean. Would certainly visit again

Hemos llamado a esta joyita muchas veces y siempre tenía una cálida bienvenida del personal y el propietario, Paul y su esposa. Desafortunadamente, debido a razones de salud que no han sido unos pocos meses, pero como era el cumpleaños de mi marido pensamos llamar a almorzar. Qué shock!! Los anteriores dueños habían dejado y la gente nueva, que nunca vimos, y la chica que nos dejó mucho que desear. El menú era el mismo, pero la comida estaba bien por debajo de la media. La chica era muy hosco y ni siquiera entró a clara la mesa o nos preguntó si queríamos algo más. A menos que las cosas cambian drásticamente que sin duda no estará pagando ellos otra visita.

Mi esposa y yo junto con nuestra hija y yerno visitamos este restaurante el 13 de diciembre y todos tuvimos una excelente Turquía el almuerzo. Vamos allí bastante regularmente y nunca he tenido una mala comida. El dueño y el personal es muy amable y servicial. Las piezas son también muy razonable. Si está interesado en la pesca, entonces hay algunas buenas estanques para pescar.

Disfrutamos de nuestro almuerzo, tuve pastel de carne con patatas fritas y verduras, patatas fritas eran caseras y verduras estaba perfectamente preparada con un pequeño Crunch, sólo un poco demasiado pastelería en mi tarta. Mi marido había pescado y patatas fritas no me puedo quejar.No nos dimos cuenta de que no aceptan tarjetas de banco así que tuvimos que sacar el dinero en efectivo entre nosotros, también el signo en el café es sólo un pequeño y cutre, fuimos pasado y tuve que anular.Ahora sabemos dónde está y que necesitamos efectivo volveremos de nuevo.

Ha pasado un tiempo desde que hemos tenido el almuerzo aquí y vi pastel de pescado de lujo en el menú, y eso fue todo. fue excelente, lleno de grandes trozos de pescado y huevo hervido con un puré de patata topping. Mi pareja tuvo un solicitado especialmente bacon, queso y champiñones baguette con ensalada que ella realmente disfrutamos demasiado. un gran almuerzo y volveremos.

Hemos comido aquí muchas veces a lo largo de los años y el desayuno inglés completo es un gran acierto. giselle y Paul ofrecen buena comida y una alegre bienvenida, y siempre es un placer para visitar.En nuestra última visita la sopa estaba caldo casero abundante de vegetales, y me las arreglé para tener una taza, como yo también pedí un queso y frijoles patatas al horno. Ambos eran excelentes, y me gustó mucho. Vale la pena aparece en, también tienen ofertas diarias y tartas y bollos caseros.
