Eight of us dined, aged between 3 years and 86. The menu had something for every taste, including our gluten and lactose free member. We were all very happy with our meals and the confit duck leg dish was particularly delicious. Main course and desserts left us feeling very full. Excellent service. Thank you.

A charming breakfast spot that’s become our local favorite! The place is always spotless, the staff are welcoming, and the food consistently impresses. The breakfast is cooked on the grill, so it's light and free from excess oils – highly recommended! Plus, the prices are very reasonable. Perfect for a regular breakfast stop.

Wonderful dinner - we stayed in the adjoining hotel for a wedding in the area and came in as this was the easiest thing to do, but were delighted to be able to have such a great meal, with terrific service. A great Indian, you won’t be disappointed.

Food was below average. Not much flavour at all and gloopy consistency. Curry sauce was probably the only decent thing from the order. Think it also all went off the next day as it smelt when re-heated so binned it all. Waste of £36

This was our second visit - excellent both times so clearly consistent! The food is really high quality, nicely presented and fairly priced (not cheap - but you get what you pay for) Lovely staff with quick service. We managed to resist the takeaway brownies this time... but it was difficult, as we remembered how good they were!

The best cooked breakfast in the area. Well worth a detour from the mediocre cafes on Town Street. Sausages and bacon use good quality meat. Hash browns are home made. At one time the service was a bit slow but it seems pretty quick nowadays. Food has always been great either way.

Amazing food, we had the lamb chops and the spanakopita. Both excellent. Service was delightful too. Great addition to restaurants in north headingley. Will be back!

The best coffee in Leeds. All the baristas equally know their craft. Music safely in the background making it a relaxing experience

This used to be a cafe, it isn't really anymore, it's a hippy shop, which sells a surprisingly small amount of stuff. It also sells takeaway coffee, and some cakes. I used to call in here regularly, when I was in Meanwood, but that was when it was a cafe. Then I called here in June, and things had changed, and I had a very poor experience. However, after reading a number of glowing reviews here, I thought I'd give it another try. Nothing had changed, the service was sullen and unfriendly, the coffee was awful (see the photo in my previous review), and the advertised "secret sun trap" is a 2m x 2m bin-yard, at the rear of the shop, which has steps above it, blocking the sky. I should have checked the new reviews more carefully! I submitted my earlier review on the 9th June, before that Tandem had not had a review posted to TA for 3 years. Then suddenly, a string of unctuous posts were made, praising the business in the most glowing terms. On 12th June, Tandem attracted no less than six 5 Star reviews, all posted by new or very inexperienced members, most with similar names, generally not living locally, and none containing photographs. Another new member submitted a very similar review 4 days later. Then nothing since. I wish every independent business well, but there's a stink about this worse than patchouli.

Stopped off for a coffee after a dog walk from the hollies. Lovely cafe. Will be back to sample the food next time. Pastries looks delish on the counter

Hemos estado en Alter Ego cada mes durante el último año desde que fuimos por primera vez un par de semanas antes de casarnos y nunca decepciona. La comida es deliciosa, muy bien presentada y de gran valor. Hicimos la degustación de vinos una vez, que también fue de gran valor y muy divertido. El servicio es de primera clase y toda la experiencia es relajada, de alta calidad y relajada. Cada menú es variado y diferente y te sientes como si tuvieras un verdadero sabor de Italia. ¡Magnífico!
