We LOVE the Bowery. We have always found the staff to be lovely and the environment to be welcoming. The owner has always made up feel welcome and recognised as a serial visitor. The queues for tables tell me he’s doing something right!!! The whole team are fabulous and can’t fault a single one of them!! The coffee is to die for, amazing cakes and lovely work spaces!!! Thank you Bowery!!!

Despite being a frequent customer, I haven't felt appreciated by the owner, which has detracted from my visits. The staff are pleasant, but unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the owner. Additionally, while the coffee is decent, I believe there is room for improvement in terms of quality and consistency. I hope this feedback serves as constructive criticism and encourages the owner to improve both the customer experience and the coffee offerings. I am not satisfied with coffee products are amazing but could have been a lot more passionate

This is a lovely spot in Headingley for a delicious coffee and cake, and also has a great study space upstairs. This is great for students like me who live in Headingley but want a change of scenery from the library, within walking distance from home! The staff are always so friendly and welcoming, always such a lovely atmosphere in here. I also love the plants they sell, very reasonably priced too! Always recommending Bowery :)

Incredible. We had a Slime making birthday party for our 6 year old upstairs at Bowery Visual Arts. It was brilliant, so well organised, fun and different. Highly highly recommend for children activity birthday parties. Coffee is a winner too! Thank you.

I eat out alot and even ran my family cafe for many years in the Lake District and I am gob smacked at this place . How can it be so cheap and so delicious?! I had the vegan ciabatta, I am a massive meat eater but it sounded so delicious. It arrived with a beautiful little flowery garnish perfectly dressed , the coffee was banging and the service great . Can’t recommend this enough . Thanks to all , you saved my hangover day !!

Popped in with a friend for coffee and a cake. The member of staff that served us was lovely and the coffee was good. The lemon drizzle cake was the best that I have had in a long time.

I love it at Bowery. The coffee is really good, the decor is lovely, the food is excellent, and the service is great. It's a lovely spot and much better than the chain cafes around Headingley

Love it here, there has been so much effort put into the decor, the variety of drinks and refreshments, and I always love looking round the little trinkets on sale. This is a place that cares about supporting its other local businesses and it really shows. The staff were so friendly and also love that they don't charge extra for dairy-free milk! Always a nice touch

Ordered an iced latte for £3. Not sure what I was given but it was like an overly frothy coltish coffee with not a cube of ice in sight. The place itself is artsy and cute but I wouldn’t bother going again.

As a complete (and very nervous) newbie to life drawing I had a fantastic experience at The Bowery. The tutor was amazing. There was such a friendly atmosphere that I quickly overcame my nerves and thoroughly enjoyed the class. I will definitely back to learn more new skills. Thank you!

I love the Bowery, in fact, I usually request a Bowery Gift Voucher for a Christmas gift as it’s really nice to try something new creatively. I’ve done printing, oil painting, ceramics and jewellery making in the past. This time me and two friends tried out life drawing! Sandra’s a great teacher and the class was great fun. After the initial giggles at the situation (where I was glad to have my mask to hide behind!) it went ahead at great pace and I came home with several charcoal studies that I was really rather proud of as a first attempt! A really great alternative Friday night out!

Booked two classes that are regularly run with them but could not make it as had to isolate due to a family member having Covid. Despite the extortionate price of classes, they refused to offer me a refund or put me on another class. Definitely will not be booking with them again.

Not been for a while until yesterday. I will not be going back now. Lack of clarity around how to get served is not good during covid. No details taken for track/trace. Service without a smile. In fact, service with total indifference!

I don't think it's very well-known but actually it's very good. Latte is nice. What I love most is the banana bread which tastes so fresh and delicious. It's very addictive, tbh. Will surely come back for the bread and latte!!!

I’m from the village and this pub has changed hands multiple times over the last 5 years or so. No one has made it work and it still isn’t working. Saturday before Christmas with a party of friends with children, the menu was down to pizza and burgers (could be understandable if preparing for Christmas Day). BUT they ran out certain gins, got to the last barrel of Maretti and the place looked a mess. The bar was lifeless and not well kept, it looks like a pub is ready to follow the pattern and soon close (time will tell). I really want this village pub to work but fear it never will. If you’re reading this to make a choice, go to Cromwells or elsewhere until it’s fixed !
