We went for my birthday and have had good experiences in the past , however , this place has definitely deteriorated in quality. My fish pie was the worst I’ve tasted. It was dry and mostly mashed potatoes. There was little dried fish and one prawn . I was offered an alternative but we had 2 young children and had already waited a while for our orders to be taken . My husband’s fish and chips , although described as large was not . He said it was ok . My daughter’s steak pie she said was also ok but she had to ask for gravy , but at £22 for a pie it ought to be . What a disappointment Poor value for money

The new landlady and landlord have done a great job bringing the pub back to life. We're lucky to have this on our doorstep.

Estoy siendo amable con 3 estrellas, ya que comí mucho del asado del domingo, pero fui el único. Los guisantes fueron enlatados y las zanahorias igualmente procesaron papilla. Los pudines de Yorkshire creo que estaban congelados y la carne parecía de un corte procesado. Pensé que había vuelto en los 80 aparte de los precios. Si tuvieras la comida correcta podrías estar lleno todo el fin de semana, la gente de ese pueblo quiere buena comida y pagaría el dinero correcto.

Este pub se encuentra en un entorno increíble. El aparcamiento es abundante. La ocasión fue un cumpleaños. Un miembro de la familia llegó tarde, pero el personal no se molestó en absoluto y felizmente esperó con nosotros. La comida es genial, ambiente relajante. Atento pero no demasiado Sin duda uno para visitar de nuevo

Fantastic food, great service , attention to detail and made our celebration really special. Salvatore was excellent, and the manager made us feel so special.

This used to be my favourite place to order a takeaway pizza from however over the last few months we have seen a decline in the service. Delivery always seems to take a while but we let that slide due to the quality of the food. A few months ago the food arrived and it was cold-we called to complain and didn’t really receive any sort of apology. After that we have been ordering from a closer pizza ‘chain’ since but decided to give pizza picante a second chance. We ordered at 5:30pm and by 7pm had to call see if our pizza was on the way. We could hear the talking in the background. They asked us to either come and collect it or it would be another 25mins?! We declined the suggestion to come and collect-we had paid a delivery charge and so waited another 25mins! After 2 hours the food arrived. Luckily the food was good but after waiting 2 hours and no apology-or not any offer of any compensation we won’t be ordering again and will still stick to the pizza ‘chain’ much more reliable!

Lovely rooms nice bar and good food, breakfast was very good quality and the staff are very friendly and welcoming,there is a no phone policy in the bar but free WiFi in the rooms,many people have had a moan about this in their reviews but actually it makes for a good atmosphere as people are actually talking to each other rather than scrolling,I myself can't speak after having throat cancer and have a speech app on my phone the staff were happy for me to use this in the bar so thank you for that .I and my wife would definitely recommend this lovely little hotel.

Es un café encantador y todo fue genial, aparte del sándwich sin gluten de pollo de coronación. El pan era blanco básico y el relleno era muy escaso, servido con unas cuantas hojas, sobreprecio por el costo.

Precioso sabroso y generoso almuerzo del domingo y el personal muy servicial. Un bonito hallazgo. También hay un bonito paseo por el jardín de cerveza, hasta el río.

Comida siempre fantástica, personal educado y amable, precios muy razonables, plazos de entrega a veces largos pero siempre vale la pena la espera ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Lovely food, must have amazing chefs. I had their fish and chips and the fish was cooked perfectly and the chips were perfectly salted! deliciousss!

Vine aquí por primera vez el fin de semana. Sorprendentemente era bastante tranquilo, así que tuvimos bebidas fuera en la terraza. Vistas espectaculares.
