Cromwell's Bar & Restaurant in Leeds

The food was decent and the service was good, even left a £5 tip on a 2 person lunch snack. So why the poor rating??? The car parking has killed the place for me. I paid in the machine and told the staff who said something about a refund, I never received that but never mind. Then got a letter from the car park operator so I drove over to Cromwell to dispute the penalty notice. 2 hour round trip plus fuel. Don’t worry they said and took the details it will be cancelled. Today I receive a debt collection letter wanting £170 or I get blacklisted and have court proceedings. How does a business operate with a system like this? Really angry

Best Sunday dinner I’ve had in ages! Beef cooked perfectly with a pink centre, proper Yorkshire puddings, decent gravy, can’t fault it. Amazing value, paid twice the price for half the quality at other places, Cromwells is a hidden gem, we’ll definitely be back!

We came for Sunday lunch, the beef was cooked perfectly. The cauliflower cheese was delicious. The kids chicken goujon meal was great the kids loved them. We will definitely be back

Had Sunday dinner today was excellent had the king size chicken lovely beef amazing gravy was best I've had at a public house staff amazing Yorkshire pudding were proper West Yorkshire recommend it highly

Been going here for over a year for the Thursday night quiz. Quiz host Rich is brilliant, the bar staff are great friendly people and the regulars are a great bunch. Really friendly, fun atmosphere. I love that dogs are allowed too.

Very disappointing early evening meal. We were 3 adults and 3 children. Food was bland and overpriced for what it was. I’d have given 3 stars for that. The lady who collected our plates asked the customary “was everything ok with your meals”. We offered some constructive feedback but it was very clear from her demeanour that she wasn’t interested. She said nothing and walked off. If you don’t want feedback don’t ask for it.

This pub charges it's customers for parking on its car park. Very little warning on car park, non as you enter from car park non in pub or when ordering. £100 parking fine received 3 weeks later. Unable to contact pub by 3 methods. No suprise there then. If you don't want ripping off STAY AWAY.

Received a car parking ticket this week. Didn’t see any clear sign and didn’t think you had to pay to park in a pub car park. No mention in pub either and it’s their car park. Complete rip off! I’ve tried to call pub but no response. I would stay well away.

Myself and my friend visited this pub on bank holiday Monday at 19.01 to eat only to find they were not serving food so we left 19.12 only to now juts receive a parking ticket for trying to eat at this pub. Honestly guys I would not bother charging their clients for parking it is a joke. I have disputed the charge and I will not pay it but how disgusting.

Fantastic spot for drinks whether alone or with friends, had a fantastic time with both and would highly recommend to anyone

Great service, we ate outside in lovely covered area. The sharing platters were delicious. Best steak in ages. Also good value. Hope to be back soon.

Great service excellent food needed to meet with a colleague near to wetherby could not get to our normal meeting place so arranged to meet at the cromwell. from the minute we fell through the door (it was raining cats and dogs) the staff were fantastic 10 so helpful and friendly . Big shout out also for the Churchill Dog also. later in the day we ordered food choice is good and the quality was excellent. would 100% recommend visiting if your in the area for business or pleasure.

Lovely atmosphere in the sunshine and great food. Friendly staff. Especially Hayley. Great with the kids. So much space for the kids to play and kick a footy about. We will be back.

Went to watch football and get Sunday lunch. Not many places in the area have sport and thought this looked like the nicest food. Food was terrible, all frozen, nothing fresh. Watched the staff bringing back bags of frozen chips, etc from Tesco over the road. Service was diabolical. Got our order wrong and also 3 other tables around us received wrong orders or took their food back. No apologies provided to anyone. Ignorant staff that were clearly frustrated by complaints rather than trying to rectify them. Managements attitude is even worse and constantly swearing! Would not recommend and will never return.

Andrea was an exceptional hostess, attending to our every need. Our table was perfect situated, even sporting a huge balloon for my birthday. The steak meal was delicious. The music was perfectly pitched, and we loved the happy atmosphere. We will definitely be back. Thank you!

Came for the bank holiday weekend with all of my friends and we could not be more delighted by the service from the great from Holly and Bob!

Wow! Unbelievable turn around in the food at Cromwells. New menu is fresh & exciting. We all had the Sunday lunch which was perfect. Well done Hayley and the team for listening to customers!

Excellent service. I've been coming here since my family moved from Shadwell. Nowhere better when craving a cold brew after cricket or the gym. They have tnt and sky so perfect for the champions League.

I come to this pub once a month at least and its absolutely brilliant experience, the food is 10/10 and the staff are amazing. they treat everyone with the upmost respect, of anyone is in the area i 100% recommend popping in and trying the food or even if its just for a pint, definitely one of the best pubs in the area

Great lunch. Great service with lovely staff. The lunch was absolutely delicious. My daughters ate everything in front of them.

First time visiting today we had the Sunday lunches which was beautiful very friendly lady served us the place was quite busy maybe needs extra staff but all in all a very good experience would return again
