Once a great spot for a decent quality snack but the quality has all but disappeared. The food has the same premium prices but the sausages are now low quality versions of before and the bacon is half the thickness it used to be, eggs yellow rather than orange. Regularly running out of basic things like bread buns. Then we come to the staff, mostly polite and friendly but theres a bloke in the kitchen that can be obnoxious. I eat here regularly, this is not a one visit experience.

Fabulous flat iron steak and fried egg with chips, chimmichurri for brunch. I don’t really like a fried breakfast but was ravenous enough to consider one until my eyes lit on this at the end of the brunch menu. It felt a bit decadent but kept me full all day. It was delicious and perfectly cooked, we will definitely be back and will reccomend to family and friends. A lovely change from regular cafe/tearoom offerings.

I had the misfortune to witness the most disgraceful behaviour to the public yesterday. A member of staff came out and shouted to a bloke outside taking photos of the red kites . This guy was quietly minding his own business when the staff member shouted to stop feeding them. The food had already been put out long before he arrived and everyone does this. Photographer's come from miles around to see the kites and a lot of business goes to the cafe (highly priced food by the way). The staff phoned security to remove the member of public from the whole of Harewood estate. I'm sure the bloke would have spoken to the staff member better had he come over to him instead of hurling abuse from the other side of the car park. He needs to treat his customers alot better and in the correct way. I'm sure there is a part in the will that says public can feed the redkites .

Disappointing, Muddy Boots isn't for walkers now, either it's a Bistro or a Cafe, it can't be both. We came after a walk, hoping for a snack, to be told we had to have lunch. It's clear that Muddy Boots is more of a Bistro than a Walker's refreshment stop.

Located on the edge of the beautiful Harewood House grounds. This popular little cafe serves local produce, cooked and served to perfection. If you time it right you may be lucky enough to see the red kites. Quite a treat after a good breakfast and refreshing brew.

Not Nice Coffee at all and we have tried on 3 separate occasions. The cappuccino was way to hot so I am assuming the taste has been burnt out of the beans. I watched the two cups being made and one had 34 second extraction timer on the brew head and the other 44 seconds and both were used for our drinks. I am an amateur coffee buff and like a decent cup I would just have someone look at the workflow process and of course the beans. Sorry I don't like giving bad reviews but I think it could be so much better.

Visited for the first time with a friend. Had to going round and round in circles trying to find somewhere to park as it’s a busy place for walkers. The cafe itself was lovely and friendly. Quick service and nice food. Steak sandwhich was yummy….chips were ok, not the biggest portion. Was around £15 for a sandwhich and chips and a coke. Not the cheapest or biggest portion but it was nice. Toilets needs to be kept on top of as the bins were overflowing and didn’t smell very nice. Would recommend and come again when dog walking.

I visit here regularly for a bacon sarnie and a cuppa on my walks with a friend. The staff are always very friendly, the bacon is cooked to perfection (we ask for it crispy), and there is never any push to move you on so we are able to sit a while and chat over our drinks. It’s a popular place amongst dog-walkers, walkers and people who just come for the food. Have eaten here at lunchtime as well - equally as good. Would highly recommend you stop off if you are passing. Happy new year to all the team!

The usual great service and food. My wife had the lentil and black bean chilli ( which of course I sampled) and I had the spiced lamb naan bread ( I did let her have a little back in return). Both were excellent. Nicely spiced and just what we needed on a damp windy day after walking around Harewood House. So busy, we were lucky we got a table . I must book ahead next time. Keep it up guys - great job!

Absolutely love Muddy Boots Cafe. The cafe is cosy by day and a stylish, twinkly fun filled ambience on by night. Love all the theme nights, our last was the Jamaican night that Ruddy created. Love everything about the place, great food friendly staff and a team who are bringing some seriously good chefs to Yorkshire. Looking forward to taking part in more events or just nipping in for a Coffee on a rainy winters afternoon. The takeaway sandwiches are delish also.

Whilst walking in the area we thought we would grab a quick drink and snack at Muddy Boots. My wife had an espresso and I had a luxury hot chocolate. We also had a cookie and a carrot cake muffin. The staff were very friendly, but we waited 15 minutes for the drinks and when they arrived my hot chocolate was watery and cold. The drinks were not cheap. Espresso was £2.50 and my watery chocolate was £4.50 (or around that mark). The espresso whilst very nice £2.50? I mean come on. Place has potential, but the prices need to be more realistic.

The sandwiches, grilled cheese toastie (awesome - sourdough bread lightly pan fried for extra crispiness on the outside) with dressed salad on the side were just as good as the soups, and pretty good value too. Fui aquí después de ver críticas decentes de Facebook y bonitas fotos de Instagram. . .

This was always a regular coffee stop when dog walking around the estate, but we realised that we hadn’t been for about a year. My daughter and I popped in for lunch and found a real difference ( for the better) , especially as dogs are now welcome throughout . My soup and sourdough was delicious, as was my daughter’s Brie and ham sandwich. The carrot and Victoria sponge cakes were excellent and I’m sure we will be back very soon!

Absolutely fabulous meal this evening. Brilliant starter followed by gorgeous beef bourguignon and ending with the best ever “floating islands.” Josh Whitehead is a fabulous chef and the front of house team are attentive, charming and knowledgeable. Add to all that a great atmosphere and a very, very reasonable bill! What more do you want on a Saturday evening!

Visited yesterday after a long walk around the estate. The old lady making the drinks was very grumpy and rude, and we had to wait nearly 20 minutes for 3 drinks! Should have brought a flask!!

We booked a table for 10 family members before a visit to the Harewood house ‘Useful/Beautiful’ exhibition. It was our first visit to the Muddy Boots and caught us by surprise. Our expectation was of a generic walkers cafe with hearty but predictable fare. Muddy Boots far exceeded our expectations by providing attentive table service (by Emm), and a menu of food so attractive that it made choosing difficult. The quality of food served was higher than I expect in a cafe and the ambience was relaxed and welcoming.

For the last 12 years, we have loved our walks around Harewood and it was a real bonus to have such a nice cafe for a coffee and something to eat afterwards. We are now starting to consider alternative local walks with cafes nearby because Muddy Boots has gone downhill so badly under the new ownership.

We walked to the castle and on return popped in for a coffee and stayed for lunch. We shared a ploughman’s and was great value with a varied cold plate that did both of us. Great service from a very pleasant staff. Recommended

The food was very average. There was nothing unique or special about the food. The service was substandard. I would definitely avoid this place.

Excellent food and great choice. Suggest you book ahead. For the "top" meals they are between £25 and £30 each. I had a mixed fish dish which was excellent.

We had Sunday lunch and were served by Sam . He was so good at his job and really made us feel welcome, our son is a very fussy eater and Sam couldn't do more to help. Lovely place for family's.

Mrs Bore and I had a salmon and ham sandwich respectively. Both really well prepared on fresh bread though just short of £10 each. The one thing preventing 5 stars is they had outside heaters that nearly singed my hair.
