Dirty and drugs taken in the toilet staff don't care and throw you out early because they can't be bothered doing there job's properly

We had a really lovely meal at the Bay Horse - including an amazing pie! Great food, dog friendly and a warm welcome. This was perfect for us 👍

Didn't eat so can't pass comment, selection of beers was good and the price of lager was competitive. Only one serving and when there was a rush on at the bar the barmaid struggled but she got through it.

Called in as were passing and hungry and running out of time and options. Looked promising and car park full. Not very full and only one couple having a Sunday roast but they looked like they were enjoying it. Had a beefburger and halloumi burger which were both excellent fresh and properly homemade not just heated up from frozen. Bar staff good and friendly. The decor is maybe a little bit shabby and obviously attracts a sports crowd primarily but would deffo go back if nearby

A Great Pub and Everyone is Friendly We stayed in a AirBNB a few doors down and went in both nights , we had our dog and she was made very welcome , it was a warm friendly atmosphere and had a good range of Drinks , A Great Local

Annoying they did not tell you that food is not served in the evening. Needs a reference too.

We just went for a drink, was OK, nothing special, no atmosphere

Very poor food ,substitute food without letting you know confusing what was on the plate, very unprofessional .

We went on a match day, there's a bus of Leeds fans that stops which was a bit worrying but they were lovely and very quiet. The food was delicious, staff lovely and friendly, and it was so clean and welcoming. We'll definitely be back ☺️

Really good pub to have if you’re in the local area, does get pretty rowdy on a weekend but always great atmosphere.

Called at the Bay Horse for lunch to round off my birthday celebrations and we weren’t disappointed, the staff were friendly and accommodating and we had the special of the day- Roast beef baguette with chips, veg and gravy and a turkey baguette with all the trimmings and roast potatoes which both were cooked to perfection, we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and will definitely visit again.

After driving past it looked so inviting with the seats outside. Did not disappoint

The signs were not good when we went in, Sunday lunch and only a handful of regulars having a drink, the cutlery needed a good polish as did the teapot which came before the meal, I rubbed half the lid just to see, I was right, and when I asked for sugar it came in a strange tiny pan like thing with lumps from the previous user. That's the bad bit because the food was was very good indeed, just an all day breakfast but I could not fault anything, I will be passing quite a lot in the next few months an I'm sure I will call in again.

Food was absolutely spot on , cooked to perfection well worth a visit highly recommend the steak pie BUT you better be hungry. Unfortunately returned today and the food was terrible £12.95 for fish and chips 🤬🤬🤬 enough said won't be going back .

Re visited to partake in the Thursday night quiz done by Marcus. Was brilliant once again lots of fun old and new people really good mix. Can't wait to try the food soon looks and smells great!

Don’t be fooled. This is not a traditional pub and I doubt it qualifies as a pub at all as it’s more a Restaurant. Like too many others I’m sorry to say.

Had Sunday Lunch which is a great price and enjoyed it a great deal. Beautifully cooked all very fresh ingredients and well presented. Will definately be returning

First time here ,we pass this pub every wkend & today on the off chance we called in for lunch & it was beautiful couldn't fault it very filling & we didn't book just walked in & hoped for best & best we got

Had a 50th birthday party, from start to finish always kept in touch with me regarding arranging everything. The food was amazing they put on for us. Staff was very nice and helpful. Thank you for a lovely birthday party everyone at The bay horse.

Wonderful food and great service

Absolutely lovely alternative Sunday dinner!! Meat in a yorkshire pudding wrap with veg and roasts. Beautiful home cooked dinner and desert. More than accommodating us and our 6 children, the service from the gentleman (didn't get his name) was second to none, made to feel welcome! Which can be difficult when you approach with 6 young children in tow. Play area could do with updating and neatening up and provisions of pencils, colouring sheets and word puzzles would be a great addition as I don't like devices at the dinner table to keep the children entertained with out been loud with speech games but otherwise a great first visit. Hats off to the chef's and owner (if that was who served us).

New Landlords at the Bay Horse and has food back on after almost a year of no food. Gastro style food such as Burger and chips chicken wings etc. Pub continues to have sky sports and pool table. We travel.to all home games at Elland Road by supporters coach and this pub has the parking and space to accommodate us and many more.

Nice pub new couple taken over from Nicola,, started doing meals now,which is good,nice to have summet to eat sometimes when you go for a drink

As a watering hole, it isn't bad. A selection of lagers on the tap, with spirits and bottles of cider in the fridge. Not a single ale in sight though... and that hurts.

Lovely barmaid. Very welcoming and chatty. Put me totally at ease; which was great as was waiting for family to arrive

Had a drink but unfortunately they weren't serving food that day. We had gone in to eat as it stated food all day on board outside. Misleading and board should be updated.

Not really fair to do a review under these abnormal circumstances so I'll try and set out pluses and minuses. Pluses: very impressed with the speed and efficiency of table service if you sat outside. The staff were great. Very helpful, polite and quick . There was plenty of outside seating, qr codes for track and trace readily available and clear signposting about social distancing. Nice to sit with friends enjoying a drink and watching life go by. Minuses: the selection of beer was limited. I was told John Smiths or Guinness! The draught cider wasn't available, so only bottled. I mean come on, this is a pub! At the time of the visit, food wasn't available so I can't comment on that but I understand its usually good. Conclusion: I would go again and try the food and see if the minuses have been addressed. Good to support local businesses.

The very best customer service in hospitality right now. Great staff: friendly, polite & extremely productive. Great atmosphere, especially outside in the sun.

Great IPA this visit, got quite loud and nasty towards the end of the night but still a great place to visit in the village

If your with the right crowd it's a great place but a lot of "youngsters" weekends.

Overpriced, when the staff make a mistake (it’s not there fault) they can be very very rude. Like forgetting a salad ( that’s listed as included in the meal). Serve the wrong sweet (even though the sweet served is not on the menu) and moan when you point out it’s not the one you ordered. Because of the terrible service I will NOT be giving them a second (or multiple visits)! Big loss due to rude staff (lesson here). Based on other reviews I’m not alone with my conclusions.

Visited yesterday for a quiet drink and food. Says they serve till late, we arrived around 8 and they had stopped serving. Had loud music playing outside and in which was distracting when your trying to talk. One staff member was walking round collecting glasses with a cigarette in her mouth. Overall cleanliness and upkept was not great and seems to cater for younger people that just want to get really drunk. Won't be visiting again

Been here quite a few times and love the pub food they serve. Been as a couple and with friends and enjoyed it every time.

Definitely didn't expect the quality of food that came to us and the portion sizes were enormous. If u are mega hungry go here

Thus place was dead at 3pm on a Sunday afternoon, now I know ehyy. Over £8 for a pint of beer and half a lemonade!!!!! Apparently the charge is to cover the use of the glasses and the extra fruit that was added i.e. Lemon / lime, probably charged for the ice too. Soda water is chargeable, staff are rude. Turn round and go to the Rhubard Triangle up the road instead.

Ridiculous prices for drinks, food menu is vastly expensive. £8 for a small lemonade and a pint of beer and they had the cheek to charge soda water. Terrible place won't come again.

Went here for tea time drinks and a meal . There was a man with 2 Alsatian dogs at the bar which were barking so loudly we couldn’t hear our conversation. The man said the dogs were friendly but obviously weren’t as they were barking at people passing by and scared me so much I left the pub and ate elsewhere. The man thought it was funny we didn’t like the dogs . Village idiot mentality pub !

Great pub. The landlord has really turned this pub around. Great atmosphere and friendly locals.

Young man behind the bar pulls the perfect "London" pint. Always a pleasure to call in and Merlyn loves his pork scratchings. All the very best.

There is not a lot to not like about the Bay Horse. The food is very good. The staff very pleasant and the pub very clean.
