On a weekend in Leeds, we fancied some Caribbean food, so gave Jamrock a try. We were not disappointed, as the food was extremely flavoursome and tasty.
We probably ordered too much, with a mains of jerk chicken, plus a selection of small plates. But everything was so good, we did our best to finish everything.
The cocktails are also fantastic, and strong. So while they are on the pricey side, they're worth the money.
The decor and music also added to the overall experience.
Went here for a meal before going to Grand Theatre to see Sister Act. It may not look great but Brilliant Pizzas and simple but fresh salad. Great friendly service. Just what was needed a perfect pre theatre meal.
One of the best pubs in Leeds by a mile, the drink selection and the atmosphere are unmatchable, and I have had many a great night here. Cannot recommend enough :)
¡Me sorprendió gratamente!
This venue is great to work with and to attend events. The staff and security are polite and lovely and the events are inclusive and disability friendly. I love this venue and will always support such a great place!
I went to the Caffè Nero stand in Leeds Train Station today just after 3pm, whilst waiting for the train to work. As I approached the stand, there were two men at the counter, who were serving another male customer.
When it was my turn to order, I ordered a decaf latte. One of the staff then asked if I had the app, to which I said no. He then asked me “Do you have the card?” To which I obviously assumed he meant a points card, as he’d just asked about the app and I know Nero did used to have points cards. So to this question I also said no, as I do not have the app or points card currently. The man then said “What, you don’t have a card? How do you expect to pay then? Do you expect to get it for free?” And he started laughing at me, as did the other man at the counter, and the other customer. The staff then said “It’s okay, it’s been a long day”, still laughing at me and making me feel like I’d been stupid when I’d literally done nothing wrong. They then proceeded to tell me that the same thing had happened with another customer earlier in the day saying “These customers just expecting things for free”. I just didn’t know how to react and felt really embarrassed, wishing I’d never gone to this Nero, as I was already having a very stressful, difficult day and it was the last thing I needed to be made to feel like that. It was then put down and the other staff member said “There you go honey”. I honestly wished I’d not bought the coffee by this point, because I didn’t even want it any more. I just felt intimidated being a young girl there at the stand on my own, being laughed at and made to look stupid by a group of men.
None of this was said in a jokey way, it was said in a patronising and mocking way and they wouldn’t let it drop. Really unhappy about it, won’t be going here again.
Wow, this place truly caters to everyone, whether you're with family, friends, or flying solo. Words can't do justice to the amazing food and service they offer. The dishes are mouthwatering, and the staff is incredibly friendly. I highly recommend giving it a try; you won't regret it!
Visited the store today and was extremely unhappy with customer service! All I wanted was brown sugar without the pearls and was told to get brown sugar tea as it is the same I said its for a child she won't like tea does it taste like tea or the normal brown sugar drink to be told it will taste like the brown sugar drink it did not taste like brown sugar at all it tasted like tea so obviously my child couldn't even drink it! Vile and I was then told oh well not my fault terrible customer service! Will not be coming her no more and definitely do not recommend there not bothered about happy customers
The Moot Hall Tavern is a wonderful pub my twin brother Stephen and I decided to drop into as we were pub hopping around this part of town.
A wonderful pub,two roomed, traditional interior, a solid wood serving bar dominates the main room, tv's to enjoy the sport, pubby decor and furnishings and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub both inside and outside looking out onto the busy and bustling Mill Hill ,on TripAdvisor this pub is listed as The Waiting Room but it's most definitely called The Moot Hall Tavern.
We were here on a Wednesday early afternoon, we ordered a John Smiths Brewery " bitter " each, these were served in excellent condition, we just kicked back, chilled out and took in the great pub we were in.
My bitter was really good, an underrated beer style but I have always enjoyed a well kept bitter ,a cold, smooth brew with a slight nutty essence, very refreshing indeed.
We both really enjoyed our bitters in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting for a first time visit to The Moot Hall Tavern we had a great time .
The Moot Hall Tavern is easy to locate along Mill Hill.
Opening hours are;
Monday to Sunday, Midday till Midnight.
A great pub ,if you're in the area most definitely well worth checking out.
