Very good cafe. Excellent selection of sandwiches, cakes and pastries. Staff were very friendly and coffee was fantastic.

Average coffee and food. Not too sure what the buzz is about and why it’s always so busy. Staff seem nice though and location is good

First and foremost the coffee here is excellent. The authentic looking lunch offering looked appetising but was ultimately disappointing. The interior is quite dark and to go with it there was quite loud club style music on when we entered at around 11.30am. It wasn't too in your face and they turned it down quite soon but for me inappropriate at that time of day in this environment. On a warmer day I would sit outside where there is a fair amount of seating available in an area with no traffic.

Really popular and busy cafe with a lot of good italian food. We went for a sunday lunch and got good food and coffee. Worth a visit

One of the best Croissant ( custard, chocolate and almond) i’ve ever had👌. The variety of Cannolis is amazing: unbelievably tasty. Outstanding coffee and service. To recommend absolutely 👍

Normally our favourite place for lunch. My wife had a gift voucher for her birthday which we presented at the till. The assistant checked with the owner as it wouldn't accept it. They said it could only be used online and therefore was invalid. There was no mention at all of this on the voucher (it says it on line, but of course as it was a gift, and it didn't have any stipulation on it, we did not check this beforehand. Very poor customer service (not from the staff there I hasten to add, they couldn't be more apologetic) We won't be going again in a hurry on principle. None of it makes sense, they've had the money anyway so what's the difference??? Surely common sense /goodwill from thd owners should have prevailed in the circumstances?

Lovely little coffee spot! I was staying at a nearby hotel and passed this on my way to a training conference so popped in for a take away flat white and it was one of the best coffees I’ve had! The team in there was also incredibly kind and recommended a great pastry to go with the coffee - I just wish I could remember the name of it!!

My partner and I have frequently visited La Bottega over the last few years and have always enjoy the coffee which is consistently excellent. Staff are always friendly and helpful, and the system is easy to understand as a newcomer and seems to work well. There is plenty of seating inside and out, and seems like a popular place to go for a wide range people. They offer a great range of sandwiches on different Italian breads (focaccia, ciabatta, flatbread) which are perfect for a light lunch. On this occasion we both had a toasted Piadina Cotto (ham and cheese flatbread) which is just what we fancied and was the ideal bite to eat we were looking for. If you’re looking for something sweet to go with your coffee, options such as brownies, Pasta de natas, croissants, and a variety of pasticcini are available. We often go for a selection of pasticcini as they are an ideal choice if you just was a little something sweet. Overall, if you’re in Leeds and in need of a quality coffee and/or a bite for lunch this is a great option and has consistently delivered every time we have visited.

It continues to be one of the best independent coffee shops in Leeds. The people are lovely and at a location that just cannot be beaten, especially on a sunny day if you opt for one of the tables outside in Bond Court - it’s easy to feel like you’re on a continental holiday. As you’d expect the coffee is top notch with a range of other food treats to tempt you. Definitely a go-to place whether it’s to grab a coffee or meet up.

The staff here are absolutely brilliant, so charming and helpful! Their coffee is so tasty and they were great with our party’s dietary requirements! They also have a delectable selection of cakes and sweet things which went down an absolute treat in our meeting!! Cannot recommend enough!!

Came here to work (and also to purchase several rounds of food and beverages). Left because of an incredibly rude staff member. The coffee was great, my partner was at the till buying more coffees and food when a staff member suddenly came up and aggressively said "You'll have to move, you can't take up a full table on a Saturday!!". Terrible way to treat paying customers. Can only assume that I was mistakenly assumed to be a student? Not a chance I'd have been spoken to so rudely and aggressively if I was a man, sat there in a nice business suit, working on a laptop. I can absolutely appreciate the need for tables. Of course I'd be happy to make space. But it's not hard to say "Is it okay if you move up a little so we can fit these people in? Thanks". Went the till where my partner was paying, left immediately. Won't go there again. Shame.

We can’t believe the good reviews that have been written about this place. Shocking customer service and a luke warm (i did ask for it extra hot) cappuccino that tasted more like a cup of milk with a hint of coffee. That bad I had to leave it! The aragostine was nice, but that was about it. If you want a nice coffee and food, and friendly service head to ‘If’ on Call Lane.

Best flat white in Leeds. It’s the perfect cup and worth the travel and the city parking prices just for one of their coffees. Bravo.

A smart place and both the drinks and the sandwiches were first class. It reminded me of a cafe we liked when we lived in Italy- so I think they have fulfilled their mission of creating an authentic Italian experience.

This café is located a few minutes walk from Leeds Art Gallery. I quite liked the decoration, exposed brick painted in white along with light bulbs and wood that gives it an industrial look. It has a terrace outside the front door. The coffee is good, it is intense, like Italian coffee.

I love La Bottega Milanese, I have done for a long time. The coffee is awesome and food is delicious! When my job moved to York it was one of the things I missed most about not being based in Leeds anymore but I have made a point of visiting Bond Court or The Light when I'm in town. Today reminded me why I love it so much here. It was my first trip into town since my little boy was born in February, I was pretty apprehensive about coming in but needed to do some life admin. Life admin complete I decided to treat myself to lunch with pram (and baby) in tow, a little bit of normal in the chaos. I was nervous about taking the pram in and creating an obstacle for people to navigate around and was nervous about the possibility of my little boy screaming the place down, it was our first time eating out solo. That nervousness just disappeared when we were both greeted with warm smiles and big hellos from the team. Given that we haven't been out much since he was born it's the most fuss he's had over him and he seemed chuffed to bits with all the attention 😊 Thank you so much for making us feel so welcome, I should have known not to worry but as the months have gone on the worry about doing normal things with him has increased. I often come here for lunch they have a great selection of mostly Italian sandwiches e.g. Prosciutto, mozzarella etc. The coffee is great and so are the cakes on offer. I would recommend this as a great place for a quick lunch and coffee.
