Salute at The White Swan in Leeds

I have been eating here for many many years ..never had an average meal yet..all very good would definitely recommend

We had my brothers wake here and honestly, the atmosphere, staff and entire time here has been incredible. Ronnie specifically has been such a sweetheart, but all staff have been so nice and exactly what was needed for the day. Would highly recommend coming here for any reason.

We've dined here a few times over the years and have never been particularly impressed, but we decided to give it another try for lunch and actually had a really nice meal. The prawn bruschetta was really tasty (although quite small!) and the Calzone was excellent. We'll definitely return.

Really lovely night out. The food was delicious and Neeve who served us was fantastic, really made our night.

Ella was our waitress this evening, she was very friendly and helpful as were Nieve and Ruby.

The rotisserie chicken with the gravy - delicious but the Mac n cheese is a 100/10, unreal. Biscoff cheesecake could have fed an army and it would be the happiest army ever. Service was as stunning as ever, Julie was an absolute superstar ! Thanks for a lovely evening 🥰

We were a party of 16 celebrating a wedding anniversary. From walking in the staff made us welcome. Food and drink flowed copiously supplied by our waitress who worked tirelessly to make sure all needs were met. Everyone commented on how well presented and tasty the food was. Even two small children were catered for admirably. A fabulous time was had by all. Thank you so much for making our evening memorable.

Service charge does not go to the staff Great food and service, when paying at the end I asked about the 10% service charge and if it goes to the staff. Was informed that it doesn’t and they are not allowed to say unless asked specifically. Quite concerning and the first place in years that does not give the charge to the staff

Very disappointed in our visit. The food was nice, but I felt the service wasn't as good as it has been in the past. They sat us on a table next to a very large party celebrating a 40th Birthday, however there were a lot of very noisy children with this party and some of them were running around and screaming whilst we tried to have a relaxing meal, so this really spoilt our night. Then when they were all leaving they were crowded together close to our table being very loud and again the children's noise level was the same as being in a nursery and therefore we rushed our food so we could get out as soon as possible. I did mention to a member of staff about the noise but they just laughed. We won't book to eat here again, I felt that it was very unfair sitting us there innthe first place, as this party were very inconsiderate to other guests allowing the children to run around and scream like they were in a playground.

We had my mum and dad's Dimond wedding anniversary at Salute at the White Swan. The staff was fantastic, very helpful every one of them . They all worked so hard to make everything go smoothly. Thank you to all of them . They are a credit to Salutes The food was excellent, the pizzas were excellent, and the cold buffet was excellent. Couldn't folt anything. Thank you to the kitchen staff. The atmosphere was excellent it was piped music with a good selection. I would definitely be recommending it to other people

Love the laid back atmosphere at the Salute, had a wonderful Sunday meal with our relatives from Sheffield, everything was just perfect and the young lady that served us was patient and efficient without being too intrusive , nothing too much trouble, many thanks for the food, atmosphere and hospitality ❤️

We booked a meal for a week last Thursday. When we arrived we were greeted by a very pleasant member of staff, unfortunately they were very busy, our table was not ready they apologised and suggested we order a drink at the bar whilst we waited which should be about 15 minutes. To my surprise, they were crack-on, and we were seated by another very pleasant staff member. We ordered our starter and mains, which we both thoroughly loved. My wife had the sea bass sitting on crushed new potatoes she said it was equally the best dish she has ever had anywhere. That is a big compliment bearing in mind how fussy she can be. We had a lovely night out and although the restaurant was very busy, we were not rushed. There was a reasonable gap between starters and main just perfect for us to appreciate the bottle of wine we had ordered with the meal. We were asked if we would like a sweet by another helpful and pleasant member of staff, but to be honest, the servings were generous. We were full and could not manage a sweet. We had a great night out with a lovely meal and looked after by polite, helpful and professional staff. Well done, Salute at the White Swan, we will definitely recommend you to anyone and will be visiting again.

We visited salute on Saturday as a party of 17 for my mums 60th. The staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for us, special mention and thank you to Katie for all her help organising, having a child with type 1 in the party she went above and beyond to get all nutritional information we required and the staff serving were really helpful with the timings of his food. The food was absolutely beautiful and plentiful! We will definitely be back.

We really like this local restaurant and come regularly. They have a great children's menu with really big portions. Nothing worse than getting a child's menu and the portion being ridiculously small even for a toddler. The adult meals are also a good size, you won't come away hungry. We often end up bringing something home with us after coming here. We really love their 2 for £25 deal where we can get 2 pizzas and a side. We had a calzone to share between 2 today and it was massive. Definitely perfect to share with a side.

When we entered we were welcomed like old friends by the staff, the staff that looked after us were excellent absolutely nothing was to much trouble for them. We had the bruschetta as starter, the bread and topping was good however the tomatoes where very cold which spoils the tomatoes flavour such a simple starter yet many get it wrong. I had the Salute Burger, chips and onion rings. The chips had skin on them love it, onion rings I like cooked a bit more but still very good the burger was okay and the jelly excellent for me I do prefer a traditional burger bun not the brioche which seems to have almost become the norm. My wife had a chicken meal which was excellent. I am not a fan of paper under food more so when we have wet food such as tomatoes and the paper becomes soggy, it is part of the presentation, the overall presentation was excellent. The menu is about to change and we need to get back and try the Italian Tapas this looking at it is a stroke of genius well worth going back to try. The owner came over for a chat and as ever always a delight to chat with her.

Came here (26/07) and tried the Summer set menu. It wasn’t too busy staff were great and the food was lovely. Would definitely recommend the Lamb Koftas and Caesar salad starters.

Visited Salute for a couple of drinks on the terrace, we decided we wanted to eat dinner & the lovely waitress Evie found us a lovely booth table and was really attentive and friendly. The food was lovely and all staff super friendly! Would definitely recommend x

Today we were served by Liv and Amy they made sure we were well looked after and sat us in one of the gorgeous booths in the outdoor area for me to enjoy my pink gin in the sun. We ordered the lamb mince pizza with tzatziki and feta cheese it was the best pizza we have had in a long time. Thank you 😀

Fantastic restaurant that we frequent regularly as locals. The food is well priced and yet the place feels high end. Ruby K provides a great service. My wife once spotted Sarah Lancashire enjoying the rotisserie chicken but it wasn't actually her on closer inspection.
