I've been a few times now to Kafka and went there last with my wife. It's located opposite Huddersfield Uni and opened recently once restrictions were lifted.
The decor is eclectic and you can easily spend an hour looking at the various items on show.
I also tried a number of beers, including Kafka's own. Very nice.
The staff are friendly and the prices are cheap too with various drinks offers. They have DJs playing vinyl too on weekend evenings.
A real charmer of a place. Service was really friendly and attentive. The food - vegan junk food as they call it - is absolutely delicious, really fresh-tasting, and also looks amazing (great colours!). Excellent range of drinks. Much care has also been taken over the refurb of the space - it's spacious, with some chic furniture and seating areas of different styles. Our group thought it was terrific - will definitely return.
Food here is amazing! The atmosphere is pretty retro but welcoming even though it was a quiet Sunday. Staff are super friendly, responsive and helpful. Came here with my partner and our friend and even he (as an Omni) said it was one of the best fried chicken he has ever had. The food was plentiful with loads of flavour and would definitely recommend to anyone regardless of diet. I had the chicken/Doner bad girl kebab which came with lots of veggies as well as mock meat so a fab balance.
Definitely will be coming back.
Sunday lunch was a let down, but everything around it was great. Starters, service and sides were super. Unfortunately, the main Sunday roast was all a bit bland and lifeless. Gravy was on par with store bought.
Would maybe try their standard menu if it was up to the level of the starter/sides.

I'd had my eye on visiting here for sometime now, but hadn't got round to it. Well, I'm really glad we did! What a lovely place: great welcome and first impression, fantastic choice of wine and a very tempting food menu.
We will definitely be back to try more wines and sample the entire food menu!!
This is a hidden gem and I can see it being a regular haunt in the future.
It's like Magic Rock but for wine lovers!

Always good. I visit once a week, it never disappoints, attentive staff, lovely food. It's very popular and always busy. I'd rather pay a few extra quid to enjoy nice food than order a take away at home.
