I'd had my eye on visiting here for sometime now, but hadn't got round to it. Well, I'm really glad we did! What a lovely place: great welcome and first impression, fantastic choice of wine and a very tempting food menu. We will definitely be back to try more wines and sample the entire food menu!! This is a hidden gem and I can see it being a regular haunt in the future. It's like Magic Rock but for wine lovers!

Visited Hoults for the first time last weekend. It’s just tucked away on the edge of town next to Laura Ashley. Very spacious with lots of seating. Friendly staff, who take time to explain things. I had the ‘taster’ white wine selection, which consisted of four glasses of 50ml of wine in each glass. You get the names and cost of a bottle of each wine, along with a detailed explanation of each wine. You can mix and match with red wine. There is a sharing platter menu, which looked good but we didn’t try on this occasion. Toilets on same level as bar area. Spotlessly clean. Something new and fresh for Huddersfield. I would definitely recommend and will go along again.

I was in buying a bottle for a friend at the wine merchant and he offered me free coffee in his wine bar. Free is such a nice word! I'm a coffee obsessive and I assure you, the coffee is good. My reservation was that the cup was cold so the coffee needed to be downloaded quickly! The wine selection looks excellent, unsurprisingly. I'll need to come back for further sampling on that front. It's a great space, beautifully clean and well presented.

How have we not known about this place before? If you are in Huddersfield and like wine then this is the place to visit - before it gets well known! We visited and joined a wine tasting evening. Learnt lots about wine, had a bit of food and enjoyed an entertaining evening in a modern bar. There is a wide range of wine, interesting Wine Flights where the owner chooses a selection for you to try and tasty snacks to keep you fed. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and look after you. Everyone stops to have a chat. This will be a regular place for us to visit. For anyone living and working in Huddersfield it needs to be on your list too!

0 stars , ignore all reviews as this restaurant is newly opened and has only a few reviews since obviously from the staff . This is one of the worst takeaways I’ve ever ever had. Avoid

A lovely warm welcome from Jim & Jo, roaring fire, great ale and a fabulous atmosphere. What more do you want!

Love it here on a sunny day. Huge beer garden where the kids can run around. Good beer and pop up food usually of great quality (check it's your kind of food first) It's a great place to walk to along the canal or by bike from Marsden. Gorgeous valley
