Great venue with local ale and there's often a popup stall for food outside.

Needs more seats but great spot good beer

Same great service, great quirky location and building however it doesn't offer anything for real beer drinkers. Everything is IPA based or leaning towards such, no guest beers. Nothing Belgian style nor any Porter or Stout (the only stout is quite bitter in taste). Their beers need an over-haul.

It's great. Be it a pre-match, post-work or random pint then this is the place for you. Great, broad selection of proper beer for all tastes. A good rotating line of occasional food as well. All served in a good atmosphere.

Can't speak highly enough about this place! Absolutely fantastic choice of beers, great quality, good value for money, also have a great array of food trucks. Great atmosphere and super knowledgeable, friendly and helpful staff. Personal favourites are Highwire Grapefruit and Saucery; delicious.

Fantastic venue and delicious food 🤩👊 Definitely worth visiting, don’t judge it from outside. Walk through the entrance and follow the sign to the outside seating areas and the actual bar ✌️

Came across this little gem on a recent family visit to Huddersfield. Great selection of beers, warm friendly staff and service. Food available and huge screen for the football. Highly recommended!

I am so sorry that I forgot to leave a review in all the excitement but we had a party at Magic Rock for my partners 50th last February 2023. The lady who was initially dealing with it made the whole planning experience hard work and more complicated than it needed to be. However, all dealings with James on the shop floor were simple relaxed and laid back. All our expectations were met and the food truck was fantastic. We had our own band Helter Skelter who as always were fantastic. The atmosphere, beer and every member of staff were top notch! The party was a massive success and I would definitely recommend it as a venue for any real ale lovers. Thank you

Great place. 20 plus beers available in a mix of cask and keg. Large seating area inside and equally large seating outside with some undercover. Guest suppliers provide lovely food that’s always top notch. Go along. You won’t regret it. You can even play a range of games provided for customers to use.

Great service from friendly staff who made us feel welcome

Visited here with a group of friends. A great selection of beers and also good to see a few alcohol free versions on you're menu. Bar staff were quick and efficient. Keep up the good work

Booked a table to watch England Vs Ireland for Six Nations. Staff lovely. Beer good. Only gripe it was advertised as watch the game down there for the craic, perfect place for sports but they didn't want to put the commentary on just for the game and kept the music on instead... Bizarre decision. Other than that grand and only leaving a review as email asked me to.

First time visiting and my expectations were exceeded. This is a tap room done very well. I took advantage of the pre-booking facility to book a table (very easy to do, and table clearly labelled on arrival). Staff were friendly, never had to wait too long to be served, despite it being busy. Nice buzz about the place, and the beer was excellent, with a good range. As a bit of beer traditionalist I was pleased to see a bitter available on cask, the Ruddy Bitter is a very balanced session ale. I also dipped my toe in the water of the keg range, and the Dark Arts Honeycomb is a sensory delight. Each sip brings a new flavour, aroma, or sensation. At 6% you may not drink this all day, but you definitely have to try at least a pint if you like stout with a twist. I will definitely visit again the next time I’m visiting Huddersfield. 10 minute walk from the train station and just over 15 minute walk to the football ground (the reason for my visit) make this central enough to be accessible but enough off the beaten track to attract people who are looking for a nice venue, friendly atmosphere, and quality beer. Magic Rock Tap Huddersfield is now on my list of highly recommended venues.

Excellent beer, staff and atmosphere. Also love the alternating street food vendors on a weekend. Great events held here regularly too.

Always make time to visit the Magic when in the area and never fails to disappoint! Fave remains clown juice which had made a return for now. You can also buy 1/3rd's of a pint so you can sample a good range of what on offer. Well worth a visit if you like craft beer and are in the area. Will visit again for sure. Update 31/12/23 - not sure if it's due to various ownerships over the years, but the product range doesn't excite like it used to. Only visit every few months and every time it just seems to be the core range that I can buy in my local supermarket. Went today and didn't leave with any cans, will visit again but expectations are much lower these days.

Great beer but unhappy to see a dog on a table. Also not able to refill the growler we bought from here so had to buy cans.

Yeah great pub and brewery, love going here and now they do a larger 'town larger' excellent! Caters for my bland taste buds 😋. The other beers are too exciting for me. Anyway the staff and chatty and knowledgeable definitely worth a visit if you are in the area, nice clean well organised and well situated just out from the town center :) w

Simply an ace venue. Local pop up food stalls and amazing beer, with a large outdoor space, what more could you ask for?

Love coming here. I've gone here a number of times after work for a pint or two. Recently we then also used the main taproom for a larger work event. Everyone was really helpful, and it's such a cool venue! Thanks Magic Rock Tap!

I first tried their Gose a few years ago in Australia and knew I had to visit next time I was back in the UK. Great range of beers, especially loved their darker stuff.

It's the brewery tap, well worth the walk past the Sportsman ( 10 minutes ) turn right at the church across the road. It's well signposted.

Such a wonderful place. The atmosphere is second to none, staff are so friendly and there are always great vendors on the weekend. If you haven't tried Magic Rock you are missing out!

Great bar. Massive outdoor section, perfect in summer...cold in winter!! Awesome taste in decor, check the photos. Very spacious. Clean toilets. Big screen for football, rugby etc. Most of all - cheap!! Would recommend

This is a fantastic place to go for beer and food on a weekend. They have a different food truck every weekend and there is always different beers every time I go and when the weather is good, the beer garden is a sun trap and it's a must for a sunny afternoon I highly recommend you visit and try some of their beers and food.

Rob is amazing, his knowledge of beers is second to none. I often arrive wondering, what will wet my whistle on this fine Friday afternoon. He always has the answer, wether it be a salty kiss…. Or some other beverage. I always know I’ll leave with a full tummy (from the delightful food traders) and a thoroughly quenched thirst. I often frequent pubs/bars but I always leave here with ALL my needs satisfied. Also trying to drink the board is fun. A taxi driver is never far away.

Absolutely fantastic beer and great atmosphere

Had an amazing experience, beer was fantastic and service was even better. The whole team were great but Adam made the evening particularly memorable, keeping us entertained and hydrated all evening!

Had a lovely evening here on Saturday, Adam was very knowledgeable about the beer and there was also an opportunity to do some vintage shopping.

Had a great time at the taproom, wide variety of drinks and tried a few of Adam’s recommendations. Good music and overall a lovely atmosphere

Magic Rock Tap is our local and we love going there. Always a great selection of beers with some unique stuff that you don’t get in the shops. You can also buy take outs too. The magic rock tap team are so friendly and always make us feel welcome, and there are an amazing range of food trucks at the weekends too so you can stick around and have more pints! Absolutely love the High Wire but, went to our local superstore and purchased a pack of four only to find, when i got home one of the cans was dinted and only had about a quarter of its contents, very disappointed and our guests weren't too impressed either.

Love coming to this place,love the atmosphere,the cleanliness,the food options but I don't drink beer!! My husband & our friends do but I can't help feeling ripped off by £4 for a small 330ml can of cider.....which acquaints to over £6 a pint.....

Never disappoints. I have been coming on a Saturday lunch longer than I care to admit. A wide range of cask and draught beers and I love the fact you can buy quality beers in thirds if you want. Also at the weekend they have guest street food vendors. This provides a good turnaround of choice

Such a great place, plenty of seating, shaded areas when it’s hot. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable—food vendors are spot on. Best of all the beer is belting, especially Saucery.

Thought I’d try somewhere new and was really pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was thriving and range of drinks didn’t disappoint along with a unique interior. The outside area is perfect for a summers evening and it adds a nice touch with the food tent. All staff were welcoming the tall bartender with the nose ring in particular was super chatty and efficient. Will definitely be coming back!

Visit with Son as my Birthday present. Excellent Tap Room Bar area with loads of space inside and outside. We had a couple of sample trays, 2 x 6 x 3rd pints, so 12 beers sampled! Didn't manage to do all beers available, but the 12 we had were fantastic. The sample trays were a great way to try loads of their beer and fun discussing/scoring them all. We will be back!

Visited the tap house with friends for the first time before the Huddersfield vs Luton playoffs game with friends Very impressed with the set up an range of drinks. The burgers on offer were excellent. Only downside was the length of the queue and the wait for the burgers. Probably could be with one more staff. As it was our first time not sure if it was due the the volume of people. Definitely will return.

Perfect place for a weekend outing! We spent all of Sat drinking from their lovely beer selection and munching on tacos. A must visit if you're in the area. *Would have liked to see more stouts but I think this just depends on when you go..

Still not taking cash... I prefer to give my money to a business who is not assisting a slip into a 'digital currency' only world.

We enjoyed our visit on a Saturday afternoon. Good atmosphere with the Dj playing music. Staff were friendly and the selection of beers were really good. Loved the Magic8Ball and Highwire. Freshly cooked street food was being served outside. Certainly would recommend a visit.
