I recently had the misfortune of experiencing what I can only describe as the most expensive takeaway ever. For just two small soups and a portion of hummus, I was charged nearly £20. To add insult to injury, the food quality was far below average. Starting with the hummus, it was a far cry from the creamy, well-blended variety you can get from many other places for a fraction of the price. It was merely average, lacking the smooth texture and flavor I was expecting. The soups were even worse. They tasted like old lamb fat, with minimal meat and a greasy layer floating on top. The taste was so off-putting that my friend decided to bin her portion and I felt compelled to call and complain. However, the owner's response was shockingly rude. He insisted that his soup was the best and implied that I didn't have any taste! Such arrogance and dismissiveness towards customer feedback are unacceptable. Furthermore, the establishment only accepts cash payments and doesn't provide receipts, which raises serious concerns about their professionalism and transparency. It feels very suspicious and untrustworthy. The interior of the place only added to the disappointment. It looked awful—dirty and old, creating an uninviting atmosphere that made me question the hygiene standards of the entire operation. Overall, this was a highly disappointing experience. The food was subpar, the customer service was rude and unprofessional, and the payment practices were dubious. Save your money and avoid this place at all costs.

We tried manti, chicken soup, and meat with dough, and our guest had a dolma. The food was very good and clean, and the prices were cheap compared to other restaurants. Frankly, it is worth the experience, and the owner of the restaurant is lovely, kind, and hospitable. May God grant them success. The food is so delicious, clean, and yhe Good price, and the owner is friendly and polite, it's a family business, highly recommended 👌🏻👌🏻

It was my First time here after i hear ld a lot about this place, i decided to finally pay them a visit not as a business owner but as a customer We ordered two turkeys breakfast, it was absolutely delicious, it gives you a real Turkish experience, i had it before in Turkey and it looks exactly same. We offer a Kurdish mix breakfast which is a bit different so i liked it and the good thing that the staff informed us that we can refill the tea as much as we want and also they offered us a free bread with it after we finished our bread, The honey butter,flower jam was the best i have ever had. The lady staff was nice and welcoming. I highly recommended and wishing you all the best from Mood Cafe team

Great little gem of a place. Tried the stews, aubergine curry, neck lamb soup...all delish! Tea and lots of Turkish bread....am going back again soon.

Fantastic homecooked style food. So far I have tried the fish, meat sauce and spicy chicken leg and breakfast. All were fantastic. Very reasonably priced also.

Full Turkish breakfast served here with tea. I'm not too familiar with the names of different items on the tray but they all taste really nice. 2nd time visiting since I enjoyed it the first time. Staff are welcoming, the food is cooked and served fresh and the dining area is really clean. This place would be perfect for groups as there is also plenty of seating.

I had lunch here with friends, good food, nice and friendly staff, lovely atmosphere and I will completely recommend to anyone.

First time here , tried the Turkish breakfast and the spinach borek... everything was delicious enjoyed every bite. A little bit of everything. The honey butter,fig jam and olives are to die for. owner was nice showed us food so we could decide. Turkish tea was refreshing..I'd return

I was pleasantly surprised by the lovely choice of meals on offer .all home cooked . The bread served with every meal was much appreciated, ( it was free !) and tasty also . 😋 The staff & owners were very polite. Would certainly recommend this place .And i will take my hubby there next time 😉👍

Beautifully traditional family business with great service and authentic dishes

Friendly service. Clean environment. Wasn't sure what to get so the owner showed me all the dishes. Opted for the Turkish breakfast, in the afternoon. This consisted of cheeses, olives, fig jam, hummus, shakshouka type dish, and honey cream/butter, bread, egg, Turkish tea. We shared this between 2 and had kunafa dessert for afters. All in all it was good experience and will be returning to try one of the stews.

Turkish breakfast here was hands down my favourite thing about Huddersfield. Every mouthful exciting and delicious. Excellent value and kept me going until dinner! If I ever go back to Huddersfield it will be for this.

While visiting Huddersfield for the first time I dropped in with a friend for breakfast. The owner is warm and friendly, and the food delicious. They clearly take A lot of pride in what they do. if you haven’t tried Turkish breakfast you are really missing out! Support this gem of a local business. Wheelchair accessible.

Great place for traditional Turkish cuisine. The Turkish breakfast was great, wasn't too heavy compared to your English breakfast. The honey butter and fig jam was great, and the rest of the breakfast top quality. Loads of bread and more offered if needed.

A fantastic find! I’ve been recommended this place from a few people and was in town so thought I’d give it a whirl. Wow!!!! Home cooked quality food, couldn’t try everything so settled for the chicken leg with rice, lamb neck soup, chicken curry and lamb musakka-comes with traditional bread, salad, and two fresh accompaniments. I will be back, the flavours were subtle and warming, my favourite was the musakka. Sorry no photos I couldn’t help but get stuck right in!!

The Turkish cuisine here is unreal. Authentic and home made and is 110% worthy he cost and a visit. If you have travelled anywhere in the Med then you will appreciate coming here for food. It's delicious and the manager is a very good person.

Wahooo.. this is a small Turkish restaurant.. with cheaper meals.. the environment is good, neat and friendly.. however, The man u find in the cover picture is so friendly and helpful.. gave us as new customers a taste, made us feel so comfortable and also referred us to another restaurant where we could get shawama.. Istanbul restaurant.. he wouldn't have even directed us if he was not nice.. .. Looking forward to visiting him again..

My wife and I stopped in for lunch today after walking past it yesterday, it is a lovely family business with beautiful (Güzel) fresh food! You can taste the freshness and the effort that goes into everything right down to the tea! Very welcoming and hospitable owners! Will be coming back for sure. Stumbled across this place by accident one weekday afternoon when nothing else in town seemed to be open for lunch. What a find!! We were wamly welcomed, the service was excellent, the food was truly delicious (including bread freshly home-baked on the day), and we topped it off with a lovely Turkish coffee. Great atmosphere, great food -- I'm sad I no longer live in Huddersfield or I'd be there every day!

I eat at the restaurant very often. Very delicious food, staff are very friendly and welcoming. Big portions. Many things like spices and butter they do themselves. Affordable prices for such a good service. Good for for family with kids as well. Advice: Try their kufta 😻

We were surprised with the family feast as a christmas gift. I have been there before for lunch and only ever ordered the quick lunch menu because of scheduling. The whole platter was reasonably priced (35 pounds for masses of food-- see photo) and good quality. My favorites were the beef stew, the yam pottage, the jollof, and the designer stew. I did not try the pepper soup because my husband ate it. A surprise treat were the chin chins. My next order will be a whole bunch of beef stew and jollof.
