Just had a great Sunday lunch at the Roos Arms. I went with a friend and we both had the roast pork with stuffing. I am gluten free so it is great to go somewhere who can accommodate my dietary requirements. The plates were hot, and the roast pork was succulent with great crackling. There was a variety of lovely vegetables to complement the roast both on the plate and served separately. The service was excellent. We will definitely be back.
We arrived at 1pm and were sat immediately in a booth which was fine. We had to sit 32 minutes before we had our drink and food order taken. We ordered Taco and Empanadas as starters, which were delivered 5 minutes apart?
Next was the sharing platter, this was "AMAZING" not just your normal Sunday spread, but lots of added extra flavours. The Cauliflower that we ordered as a side was "FANTASTIC" very flavourful indeed.
If the staff had a little more enthusiasm then this would be a perfect little eatery.
Just walked in and luckily got a table nice little place, waitress was really nice and efficient the steak I had was one of the best I've ever had absolutely beautiful as was the starter prices are decent especially if the good is that good.

Had the most amazing dining experience at Sumo Restaurant! The food was absolutely fantastic – every dish was bursting with flavor, beautifully presented, and cooked to perfection. From start to finish, the service was top-notch – the staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel so welcome.
The atmosphere was lovely too – warm, inviting, and perfect for a relaxed night out or a special occasion. What truly made the evening extra special was the surprise birthday cake they brought out – such a thoughtful and generous touch that made the celebration unforgettable.
Thank you, Sumo, for an incredible evening – we’ll definitely be back! Highly recommended!
We visited while staying at the Wolds Edge Holiday Lodges. We had a lovely meal that was home cooked, tasty and reasonably priced. Service was excellent, all the staff were friendly and accommodating, we felt very welcome.
Best fish and chips in Pocklington by far, and the nicest fish I've had compared to most other places I've been to. But getting very expensive. It's a bit of a luxury getting fish and chips now. We used to get them often from here, but can't remember the last time. Bit of a tragedy really considering it is supposed to be the staple English meal. Not any more.
Lived across the road from hear for 5 yrs went for breakfast this morning and it was beautiful all cooked fresh place is very clean for a large breakfast a medium breakfast and 2 latte 20 pound that to me is a bargain so if u visit Bridlington make sure you pay this place a visit we also asked about Sunday lunch and the are around £8 what a fab price
