We had an impromptu trip over the bridge to our favourite cafe and had a lovely meal, chats and strokes with doggies. 🐶
The food was delicious as always. 😋
The great thing is that you can pick up your zero waste essentials whilst visiting. I bought some more upcircle night cream (made from used coffee grounds and in a refillable glass pot with a metal lid). 🙌🙌
I don’t know how they get so many products in 1 fairly small shop but they are geniuses! There’s so much to look at (and buy) to take home and lots of choices on the menu to eat in.
Love it love it love it
I have been craving for juicy lightly batered fish for long time.
Luckily the day was today. The fish just melted in my mouth, the please lovely clean and the service comes with smile

I have just deleted a review saying that these premises were permanently closed. I was wrong. It is for sale, but open for business as usual, tomorrow 18th January. My apologies to the owner. I'll call in on my next cycle ride in your area.

Great craft ales, with one or two among my favourite ever beers. Food is vegan, which isn't everyone's thing. Knowledgeable staff are always willing to advise on your choices.
Wow the food here is absolutely delicious and all freshly made. Can't fault anything here, staff were really lovely and the cafe is spotless. We will definitely be back the next time we are in the area. A hidden gem.

Always a warm welcome from staff and locals alike. Normally travel and stay overnight in our motorhome in the carpark, very accommodating. Good beer, good prices and a friendly atmosphere. Can't ask for more
Visitamos este restaurante con bastante frecuencia. Esta visita, a mitad de semana con amigos fue de primera clase como siempre. La comida era preciosa y el personal eficiente y agradable. Muy recomendable.
Memorable for all the wrong reasons. We ate here during the week before Christmas and based on the online reviews we were looking forward to a treat. The only positive was that the two people who were waiting on tables were friendly. I don't usually write reviews but this was so far away from what has been described that I would hate anyone to save up for a special occasion and have the experience that we did. First of all the room was crowded which is not ideal at the best of times but there had been no attempt to make space between the tables in the way that many restaurants have done as a response to the pandemic. They even fitted an extra table in while we were there and had to lock the front door to make room for it. We opted for the a la carte menu and my husband and daughter ordered starters which arrived in good time. They described them as ok although the terrine was not as tasty as one we made at home. We waited for the main courses. My husband's plate of beef was absolutely huge but with very little vegetables to accompany it. It was nothing like the delicate presentation shown on the pictures in other reviews. My slow roasted pork was a large lump of meat with thick white fat which had not been rendered down by the cooking process at all. The flesh was cooked but very tough and tasteless. It was sitting on a bed of one carrot and one parsnip. The carrot was floppy and cold, the parsnip so raw that it was impossible to cut. Luckily we had ordered a side dish of extra parsnips that were properly cooked. We ordered puddings then we waited, and waited, and waited.. Eventually the lemon posset arrived (ok but lacking in lemon flavour) and then my sticky toffee pudding. I took one mouthful and couldn't believe what it was like. The texture was glutinous, almost like frog spawn (ok I have never eaten frog spawn but you get the idea) and yet it tasted burnt. I began to wonder whether it was just my taste buds (Covid?) but my daughter took a mouthful and confirmed how bad it was. The waitress removed it to the kitchen and came back to say they wouldn't charge for it. I genuinely have no idea how they managed to get it like that. This is not a cheap restaurant and clearly they have in the past served some good food but if you are intending to go I would advise checking what is going on and whether the chef is on form or you could be very disappointed.

Have been here a couple times now and what an amazing experience I’ve had each time. The food is absolutely spectacular and I’ve had the same two young men deliver both my food and a quality service. Have no reason to rate it any lower than 5.
Lamentablemente este salón de té ha cerrado definitivamente
Era un lugar peculiar y muy amable para disfrutar de una taza de té y un pedazo de pastel casero
Espero que los propietarios anteriores estén bien y disfrutando de su jubilación
Always a warm welcome from Simon & Danielle with excellent dishes on offer! The burgers are home made and first class and the fish and home made chips are excellent too 👌
