Had Takeaway not eaten in, food was very good and the lady I picked the food up from was lovely!

Excellent takeaway street food served in a pub with a fantastic selection of York ales; you sit down at the tables and order from a QR code. Very friendly service from both and would definitely eat here again.

Used to enjoy getting food from here but it has become far too expensive. £7 for chips and curry sauce is really poor. The amount of vegan options has also reduced over time. Not very good value for money.

This is a takeaway service with enforced tipping!!! I cancelled the tip, yet at checkout it added it back on again, without me knowing!! So the food is good - but enforcing your customers to pay a tip for takeaway is really not good!! I can’t take it up with the kitchen I’m collecting from, as it’s not their fault, it’s the companies - so posting it here. (Pocklington branch)

Vegan reviewer: Great range of options for vegan and non-vegan diners, and really generous portions. The atmosphere of the The Market Tap was really nice and chilled, with the upstairs having games and great tunes. Teriyaki donburi bowl- the tofu and pickles and delicious. The teriyaki sauce gets a bit bitter as you get to the rice, but HUGE portion and generally very enjoyable. Would order again Miso aubergine bao- tasty, good as a smaller bite. A more subtle flavour than the donburi but nice, would order again Katsu curry fries - quite average but nice Apple pie gyozas - I absolutely love these and am glad they have brought them back. They are meant to be fully vegan and marked as so on the menu, but unfortunately on this occasion the server had put whit chocolate sauce on them and we didn’t realise until we had eaten some. The staff were quick to replace them for us, however, didn’t seem to understand their own menu too well (everything on the menu that is veggie is vegan, there is only one “V” option). It’s not the end of the world for us, but would be concerning for someone with allergies/ intolerances

We’ll go again! Great beer from downstairs and very tasty food. I had the chicken katsu curry, my wife had a Korean rice bowl and our son went for jumbo Korean wings.

Food was really good and drinks reasonably priced. Really enjoyed my first visit and the guy behind the bar who likes The Mandalorian is awesome.

From the moment I walked in the staff were helpful and the service was great! The food was delicious, good value and cooked well. Ordered for pick up and the food was still warm when I got home. Definitely recommend a visit 🙂

Had 6 dishes and all were excellent. I really loved the Miso Aubergine Bao. it was well balanced sour and sweet, hot and cold, fresh and fried. Delicious. Btw, If you want to eat in you have to use the QR code on the table. Trying to order from the website will get you the takeaway menu and a long wait time.

Stayed in a nearby air b n b and wanted something a bit tasty and different to eat,I was really pleased to find Yuzu after some googling. Three adults and five children enjoyed a mix of katsu currys, bao buns, edamane beans and duck loaded fries. One of us is a veggie and she was very happy with her choices. Food looks fab tastes fab. Children enjoyed the childrens version of chicken Katsu. Duck loaded fries were way too tasty!! Will definitely be back if we are up north. There was a slight delay they were busy but they popped some extra chicken in to say sorry. Was worth the wait !

Great food as always, due to it being very busy at market tap and Yuzu being short staffed we had a little longer wait, however we were compensated with a free dish. Yuzo food and Brew York beer are and great partnership

Dropped on this place as our reservation elsewhere was cancelled. Luke and The Pocklington Team welcomed us and the atmosphere and food was really good. A great little unexpected find in a quiet town.

There’s a reason this place has no negative reviews. Best service of any place in pock by a mile. I have never once had a negative experience here, Luke is a particularly warm and friendly manager and also makes sure things run perfect logistically. So much goes into making this korean style food which is a pleasant change from the usual greasy pizzas and cheesey chips you see. Yuzu always feels like a special place to get a bite but with the craft beer section being downstairs it keeps the atmosphere relaxed. Amazing food amazing experience and not expensive. £7 - £12 for an adults meal.

What an amazing asset in Pocklington! Huge beer selection, lots of wine and cocktails for those (me) that prefer it, and the food! THE FOOD!! We ordered way too much because it all sounded amazing, finished it and still had dessert because it was so good! Highlight for me was definitely the Apple Pie Gyoza with Biscoff Sauce 😍 really innovative dessert that delivered on every level. The savoury was all beautifully cooked and delicious too, especially the Duck Gyoza and Korean Fried Chicken with Plum Sauce! Highly recommend, I have tried the York branch too which is good but Pock was even better! Definitely get yourself here!

In one word: amazing! The food is glorious, the collection of beers on tap always lets me want to try more, and the staff cannot be friendlier and more caring. Not a wide range of dishes, but that is not a limitation, it is a quality - what is available is, simply, excellent. The ways the chef plays with flavours is intriguing and absolutely rewarding. I love cooking and almost every time I 'discover' something new in the dish; then I have this thought: 'wow, how did you think about this?! I've eaten in so many places around the world (I am not boasting!), and I cannot but say that this is one of the best. You pay for street food, but you get a concert of flavours and textures. The beers are out of this world. The flavours are unimaginable. If you pass through Pocklington and have a bit of time for a drink or food, do not miss this place. You won't regret it!

Collected Yuzu street food from the very pleasant ambience of the Market Tap as they share premises in Pocklington. Duck loaded fries good, beef loaded fries good but perhaps could do with more sauce as a little dry. Chicken strips in breadcrumbs with sticky plum sauce good. When ordering on line it tries to take a tip automatically, which I don't agree with. Overall good and would try again, maybe eating in, as a fine selection of ales appeared to be on offer in the Market Tap itself.
