The best restaurants in Brighouse Calderdale Yorkshire and The Humber

Had the lunchtime 4.95 deal - seekh kebab lamb, naan and mint yoghurt side salad. YUM! Will be back. (we were at the Brighouse 1940s event - fabulous - very well attended!)

Burning ring of fire like Johnny cash had a madras n boiled rice...very warm n georgous...can't go wrong with the ballet.

Absolutely brilliant service, the owner is just a joy. She really brightens up the little pink house the tea rooms are located in. The seating could be a bit better as we had to sit on a concrete step. Other than that 100/10! Stunning!

A very welcoming and friendly visit to this cafe, great food and atmosphere. The guy who served us went above and beyond with an enquiry about gluten. Will definatly be visiting again

Just had a bacon spam tomato and mushroom sandwich and slice of lemon cake. Both were delicious and the server was incredibly pleasant would definitely recommend .

Brilliant restaurant fabulous food and service. All of them are so accommodating and friendly. One of our favourites. Been going 35 + years. Speaks for itself doesn't it. If you've never been give a try and you definitely won't be disappointed.

I considered whether or not to write this review but hopefully it can be used to inform future customer service. I booked this restaurant for my dad’s 80th birthday via the email booking system. The system asks for any special instructions which most do, so I put that it was my dad’s 80th and also asked if they could save him oysters or get some in (as that’s why we booked Brook’s). I also asked if they had (Campari) his favourite drink. I didn’t get a response so I called a few days before we were due to visit. I explained I hadn’t had any response to my booking request and was told ‘well you won’t have we don’t read them’. Which I thought was a missed opportunity and a bit slack. Anyway, I was assured that they would definitely have them but nothing was said about the Campari I’d mentioned (incidentally they did have it). Arrived on the Thursday at 7pm which was really quiet. We were shown to our table. The food. Oysters - amazing Bread and marmite butter - amazing. Cod masala (I think) - good Duck-very good Korean Cauliflower - best dish. Really tasty and well cooked. Give me a whole one. Ox heart - good We had a few other dishes but these are the ones that stood out. Service was ok but nothing outstanding. Spent £150 for 3 people (including 3 wines, 3 beers and of course 1 Campari!). We had a good night with some good food but customer service could definitely improve. Maybe start by just reading the email bookings, noting what’s in them and acting on them because there was no mention whatsoever of it being a special evening. No ‘congratulations’ on being 80. No ‘happy birthday’ written on dad’s plate for his dessert. These are simple touches that do make a difference and touches that other establishments are all over.

I wanted a friendly Italian restaurant nearby to meet some friends whom I hadn't seen for many years, somewhere we could have an unhurried meal and easy conversation. Bellini's was perfect on all counts. On arrival we were welcomed and shown to our table. The restaurant was nice and atmospheric, and everything was tidily laid out. We ordered from the Early Bird menu which we thought was really good food at a very good price. Starters were Garlic Mushrooms and Tomato Bruschetta, followed by Pollo Stroganoff, Sea bream, and Pollo Diana. The service was friendly and prompt and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We were totally unhurried and I had a great catch-up with my friends. And at the end we were offered a complimentary glass of limoncello. I think Bellini's is a gem of a restaurant in the heart of Brighouse and I look forward to my next meal there.

Really lovely experience overall. Service was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. The server took care to ensure we understood the menu and chose a dish which suited our spice preference.

The food was really nice, small portions for the price, drinks expensive, staff and service fantastic.

Myself and family visited The Tannery for their ‘steak night’ and had a wonderful time. The staff were attentive and friendly and there was a nice atmosphere all round. The steak deal was fantastic value for money and cooked to perfection. All of our steaks came exactly as asked, top marks to the chef. I haven’t tried anything else on the menu, so can’t comment on that, but steak night is a must for anyone (vegan option also available). Highly recommend.
