Bellini's Italian Restaurant in Calderdale

Visited last Thursday on a recommendation from a local friend. Was really pleased at the suggestion. The restaurant is stylishly designed with nice fittings and some intriguing Italian photo portraits around the wall. The menu was good and varied with plenty of options well beyond pizza and pasta. There were also a few daily specials and that was where I chose the pork belly. Great quality, good value and lovely environment too.

First visit, excellent food, great service and lovely atmosphere, we will definitely return. We had 2 pasta dishes, a chicken dish and the trio of fish all superb and the most delicious garlic pizza we have had in a loooong time! Desserts and Limoncello to finish.

Went here for an evening meal. Service was great and the ambience was nice. Every dish we ordered was spot on! Delicious! This is the first time I have been to any restaurant and come away with no complaints whatsoever. Highly recommended.

This was only my second visit to Bellini's. We went as a group of two couples, we were given a table with ample space and not crammed in, which is always nice. The food was superb, good size portions and good quality ingredients. We all chose something different from the menu, each meal looked fab. The restaurant was busy and had a large group booking at the same time as our booking but this did not hinder our order. My only criticism, and it really is the only thing we could grumble about, was that we were left with dessert menus for 30 mins before anyone asked if we wanted to order a dessert, by this time we were ready to settle out bill and go home. It wouldn't stop me going back because everything else was top notch.

Popped here with the in-laws for their anniversary and we'd a lovely meal. Nice atmosphere without it being too noisy as it got busier. Mains all tasted fresh, were well cooked with a nice choice of vegetables. The trio of fish (albeit prawns, sea bass and salmon) in an emulsion type sauce was a particular hit and desserts left smiles all round... and clean plates. Staff were friendly and helpful, adding to a very nice meal out.

If I could I would give 3.5 stars as I don’t think it was very good but it was better than average. On the plus side the restaurant has a nice atmosphere and the service was good, a little too good as we were in and out within an hour! My partner had the prawn cocktail to start which was nice and we loved the basket of complimentary mini bread rolls. For main I went for a pepperoni pizza with chilli and my partner the lasagne. The pizza was ok, the chilli out did the pepperoni and the middle was a bit sloppy but the base was nice and light. My partner said his lasagne wasn’t overly warm. He asked the waitress when she came to clear the plates if it was pre made and she confirmed it was. I just don’t think it had quite long enough in the oven. Prices are reasonable, around £13 for a main although I do think £8 for a large glass of rose is slightly inflated for Brighouse . Our bill was under £50 so it wasn’t the most expensive of nights out or the longest! We had a nice evening but probably wouldn’t return as we were not blown away by the food.

Never had a bad meal here. Great service (really attentive young staff) and lovely food. Prices have gone up a little but only to be expected. Keep the stroganoff as a special - always delicious.

We were staying in the Holiday Inn up the road and were looking for a meal to treat the family. The food and atmosphere in the restaurant was excellent. Great to see a menu with lots of choices, whilst still being able to offer a high quality standard of food.

Hands down, the worst pizza I’ve ever eaten in a supposed Italian restaurant. I can make better at home without such an inflated price tag. Also ordered a dry rose wine, definitely not what I got. If I hadn’t have been in a group I would have made a bigger deal of the poor quality and service. Overpriced and poor quality.

Came with my sister and daughter for a Xmas night out after booking a couple of weeks ago. Admit I hadn’t read the terms and conditions, which now I have are very confusing. Anyway we arrived and were quickly seated, and given the menus but not the Xmas set one. When I asked for it I was told it was only available for parties over 6 and must be pre ordered. On a Tuesday when the restaurant was half empty? It did fill up later. He did allow us to order from the set menu . The food was superb. Absolutely faultless. There’s just something lacking about this restaurant; we weren’t made to feel very welcome at all . Smiles were sadly lacking and after our main course no one offered us coffee or a desert menu. Had to ask for this and upon handing it over was asked if we knew what we wanted. If I did I wouldn’t have asked for the menu! Felt like we were a nuisance. Such a Shame because food is nice and we used to be regulars here.

Was at Bellenis,on the 15th October food was good as usual...We decided to have a coffee 2 Cappuccino and one Latte all 3 came cold. Sent them back but they did not apologise to us..............

Casual call having been in Brighouse, absolutely superb, great menu and specials board , comprehensive drinks menu and fantastic table service, pleasantly suprised with the bill and will definately go again

Brilliant Italian food and excellent service. Would definitely recommend. There is lots of choice on the menu. The interior is very smart and clean. The service from all of the staff was excellent. Will definitely be back!

The evening before my wedding, my two bridesmaids and I enjoyed an evening meal at Bellini’s. The restaurant is immaculate with a sleek interior and the staff were friendly and welcoming. We each ordered a starter which arrived promptly and each dish was delicious. We had a good length break before our main courses came, which allowed us to relax. We ordered 2 pizzas and a carbonara. The pizzas were authentic with fabulous fresh ingredients used and the carbonara was a very good portion and tasted amazing. We did not have a dessert and instead enjoyed some more drinks before we left and we felt no rush to vacate our table. We will definitely be coming back to sample more of the food on offer! Excellent service, value for money and fabulous atmosphere.

My wife and i arrived early for our meal and were promptly seated after having our temperatures checked with the camera thing PASSED! no surprise there. the menu was plentiful and varied so found spoilt for choice. The food lived up to our expectations and we will return again when we are in the area again.

We stopped in for an impromptu meal. A lovely open, airy restaurant with a buzzy vibe. Very tasty food and a good selection to choose from. The cocktails were a bit pricey for what they were but again a wide selection. Service was very good although they did look short staffed and a bit frantic. Altogether a nice evening and we’ll definitely be back.

We went for a family meal, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We ordered several starters which all came and were very nice. The mains - arrived(ish) they dropped one of the meals so that came later - these things happen. The special "Swordfish"...

We visited the restaurant as two couples. When we arrived the restaurant was buzzing. We had a lovely warm welcome and were shown to our table. We ordered a couple of bottles of wine however we found the Pinot Grigio to be a little oaky....

Payday treat for the family order pizza’s, lasagna and chocolate toothpaste. All went down a treat, easy to order on their website. Quick efficient delivery, look forward to ordering again soon.

Surprise dinner with a loved one for 2 at Bellinis on the 24/07/2020... location of Bellinis is situated in a not so good location,driving past you wouldn’t notice it was there.. on entering the restaurant the place looked very clean everything was in order and a very charming but rustic feel.waiters were fast and efficient in taking orders..for starters me and my partner had ordered garlic mushrooms which were average nothing to shout about and stuffed pepper with mince meat and rice which my partner really enjoyed.. for mains I decided to go for monkfish which was on the specials menu and my partner had ordered lasagne,the lasagne on tasting it was average as the pasta was a complete mush,lacked flavor.monk fish was very tasty and well prepared but unfortunately it was drenched in a pesto sauce so the monkfish could not be seen.. over all it’s a Lovely place for all and a unique dining experience... maybe just tweaking the dishes to look a lot more exciting would be great.the dessert menus wasn’t so appealing but I would be happy to try other authentic Italian dishes.

My husband and myself booked a meal at bellinis tonight. We felt comfortable and safe. The meal was excellent. My husband had swordfish which he really enjoyed and I enjoyed triple fish which was sea bass salmon and prawns in lemon, yum. The veg was perfect, nice and crunchy. We chose Chianti which was lush. Friendly service, excellent food. What more could u want?

Just been for my granddaughter’s birthday meal and was really lovely. Even with social distancing it was well organised and didn’t spoil the evening. Well worth trying if you are a bit worried as everything is fine. Food great too!

Absolutely gorgeous meal with our daughter ,really impressed with the food , starters ,mains all absolutely delicious.Both sirloin & fillet steaks cooked to perfection.Lovely chilled wine - just what we needed after such a long wait .This superb team are really ensuring diners still have the same experience whilst ensuring the staff & diners are safe .Lots of space between tables , antibacterial stations ,Constantly cleaning for the next set of diners .i thought it may seem clinical but it’s very reassuring for the diners who may feel nervous.All staff Friendly & waiters & chefs wore masks Will definitely be back

Had a fabulous meal on Saturday. I haven’t been to any shops or supermarkets so was a little nervous about going. My husband said he felt much safer than going to the supermarket with all the precautions they had put in place - well done Bellini’s. The service was good and the food was excellent maybe even better than before as less customers were in and menu slightly reduced. Tables spaced out, cleaned between sittings, floor markings, hand sanitizer, staff wore face masks, one into toilets at a time. The buzz was slightly less owing to less customers but we didn’t mind that at all. Mixed bruschetta & pizza garlic bread were yummy to start with and then fillet steak and trio of fish for mains - we were stuffed. I would recommend going here because the food was great and they really made you feel safe and at ease.

The garlic mushrooms were brown, very odd!! The calzone came frozen again who sends food out like that? Really annoying when you want a nice treat and it’s hardly rocket science Italian food. Won’t ever return, got the main for free but so I should have.

First ever visit to this Resturant and what a find. To say it had been flooded out you would not know. From the welcome to the service to the food everything was first class. Well done guys we will be back and so will our friends from Leeds.

Went to Bellinis for a meal, we had the early bird the food was fab we had mushrooms, and meatballs for starters. And both had Lasagne for the main, it is the best Lasagne that we have had in any Italian Restaurant, in Halifax or Brighouse. Will definitely be going back. The atmosphere was amazing we went at 6pm and it was packed. Would recommend for great Italian Cuisine, and very professional and friendly staff.

Excellent food and service. The restaurant was busy, but the atmosphere was relaxed and easy going. A good mix of couples, families and groups of friends. Well worth a visit. Thank you for a nice experience.

Great food and service in a lively and bustling restaurant. A pleasure to share a reataurant with tables of couples, a family birthday party and a few solo travelers like me. Really personal service from people who show they love what they do.

Visited with a couple of mates for steak and chips and it was spot on.i chose the stuffed pepper as a starter and it was very tastyThe sirloins are a good size the pies are crispy, grilled mushroom and tomato just perfect. £32 per head including a bottle of red wine and a bottle of cider good valve.Yes, I like it here and will go again.

Brilliant meal and night out. Clearly explained the two menus and that we had to choose from one or the other. Food first class, aided by the floor show of a dreadful woman who had a meltdown over bruschetta and then swore loudly (despite the children in the restaurant) and stormed out! The manager was very polite throughout. We know, because we were sat at the table next to her (unfortunately for us). I pity her child if this is how she behaves in public. After she left things calmed down and were much quieter and, as usual, the food was perfect and the service faultless. Some people just need to get a life!

Visited Bellini's with my friend on the evening of 17/12/19. Attempted to order from the A La Carte menu for me as the starter of my choice wasn’t on the Christmas menu and my friend wanted to order off the Christmas Menu. When the waiter sat us down we were given both the A La Carte menu and the Christmas menu but weren’t told that all people on the table had to order off the same menu. We were told by the manager that both people had to order off the same menu however the food that we both wanted wasn’t on the same menus. My starter and main came to £15.20 off the A La Carte menu or £16.90 off the Christmas menu. I asked the manager if he would let me have the Tomato Bruschetta as a starter off the Christmas menu and we would pay £16.90 instead of £15.20 but he wasn’t willing to. I asked for the manager and he said he was the manager. He was really stubborn, arrogant, unwelcoming and rude. Me and my friend decided to leave as we would rather give our custom to a restaraunt who respects their customers and take pride in providing excellent Customer Service, something that Bellini’s clearly doesn’t Care about. We are absolutely appalled as Bellini’s has always been a really enjoyable experience for us in the past. Due to the terrible customer service that we received, we will never be returning. We will also be speaking directly to Julio about our dissatisfaction and ensuring that all our family and friends also don’t go there in the future. Thanks Bellini’s for an absolutely terrible experience, I hope you’re really proud because you’ve done this to a woman who’s feeling unwell and 8 months pregnant also! Round of applause for you!

We booked for a table of 4 last weekend for the early bird at the restaurant and went there this weekend.

We had a great meal at Bellini's, the service was excellent along with the food, it is best to book a table as when we arrived they were turning people away.

Lovely Atmosphere and nice friendly staff food good for the price, although they do tend to use the same tomato homemade sauce on alot of there dishes.

Can't comment on the restaurant as having used the online booking system, I missed a call from the restaurant due to having a job and been called in the middle of the afternoon! When I rang back I was told that the restaurant was now fully booked! What is the point of an online booking system?? Very disappointing but won't be trying again. It is 2019 sort out your booking system.

Sons 30th Birthday - we had a lovely evening - food was plentiful and service was excellent - staff even singing happy birthday. This is a great place to take a family - excellent value for money.

4 friends attended for a birthday celebration. This was our 2nd visit to Bellini's and again we were very happy with the food and the service was as before excellent. The staff were very attentive and very friendly, the food was enjoyed by us all. Will recommend Bellini's to everyone.

I booked a table for my daughters 18th. We had the early bird which was excellent value for money and delicious food. The service was 5 star, very attentive and made the evening very special. I asked if we could bring our own cake, this wasn’t a problem and they even put the candles on and sang Happy Birthday. Some larger restaurants don’t allow you to bring in your own cake. Would highly recommend and will definitely return. Thank you to all the staff

We had a great time at this family celebration. We pre chose our orders and everything went very smoothly. The food was delicious and the staff were helpful and efficient. The place itself is really nice and was busy with a good atmosphere.

A last minute anniversary meal for my parents. The staff are friendly and the restaurant was busy so had a great atmosphere. The portion sizes are decent and the price is ok. They do an early bird deal which we will try next time. I do think they should perhaps try and offer more gluten free options as my mother struggled a little but on the whole we had a delicious meal and great evening celebrating their Golden Anniversary.

We ate here on Sunday 30th September. After reading all the positive reviewswe were looking forward to our meal. However we were sadly dissapointed and can only describe the meal as distinctly mediocre.

Varied menu, spoilt for choice. Really good atmosphere and comfort within the restaurant. Delicious and good service and value. Will certainly return soon.

Have been trying to get into Bellinis for a while, they stop serving a little early for us as we normally don’t decide we’re going out until later! By then it’s fully booked!

Called ahead to ask re gluten free on the early bird ..yes they said ..and yes they did ..but very limited !

Tonight was my first visit to Bellini's in Brighouse, but it will not be my last. The menu maybe on the small side, but there was enough of a variety for me. The Early Bird menu is very good value and well portioned. The staff were very polite, knowledgeable and attentive. The lost star was purely because of the small menu. Will this stop me returning? Definitely not!!

This was a return visit with a group of friends on a Saturday which lived up to all our expectations great food and excellent service.

First time I’ve been but been meaning to come for a long time and wish I’d come sooner. Great waiter/waitresses. Great atmosphere! Fab food! Wish id had lasagne as I had a bit of food envy but what I had was perfect nonetheless. Biscoff cheesecake of the day was heaven. Definitely worth the visit. For 20 quid on the early bird I was fit to burst! And satisfied. I will definitely be back. Worth a visit or two of a few even!

In fact, no wine served at all! Missing a trick here I think. Pizza quite heavy and couldn't identify the cheese, but the service was great!

I visit Bellini’s once a month with frilends and have done for years, we have never been disappointed. The staff are friendly, service is always great with delicious food and is good value for money. We generally visit mid-week and the restaurant is always busy. Booking recommended as it’s a popular restaurant.

Bellini's has amazing food, wonderful atmosphere and excellent service. Everyone there has a good sense of humour and a smile. Catered for over 20 without food quality being compromised. Terrific!

Wonderful meal - wide choice on the Early Bird with a wonderful house wine. This place is a real gem with friendly, attentive staff. Good value and delicious!

I visited as part of a group of 40+. The manager was great in the weeks prior to the booking helping me to manage changes to the booking, even up to the hours before the booking.

Visited as a couple on a very busy Friday evening. Service was excellent, very quick with just the right amount of time between courses. Lovely interior and nice atmosphere although it would have been even better without the pop music playing over the speakers which although isn't loud, it just is not needed here.

Love it here, food and staff excellent. Can get a bit noisy when busy but there is a separate area for large parties. Going again Saturday for Mothers Day.

We booked a table at Bellinis early in March having not been for a while. As always we were greeted with a lovely warm welcome and enjoyed fabulous food and the best of service. Koli and his team know how to give you a great evening and we certainly won't leave it as long until our next visit.

We had a table of 10 people. The service was excellent and the food was divine. Cooked to perfection. Even though there was a lot of us, service was not slow, nor were we rushed. The price was very good for all the different dishes chosen. I will certainly be going again.

Couldn't fault the place. Table booked at fairly short notice for 6 work colleague. Round table in a central position made for a great atmosphere. Friendly welcome and decent service throughout. All good thoroughly enjoyed - I'd personally recommend the fillet rossini. Very good bottle of Barolo too.

The food was not as hot as usual and the turkey looked like preformed and the Christmas pudding was petite and a bit tough.

The best Italian meal by far. This is a very well run resteraunt. The food is delicious and the staff are very friendly and helpful. A must try for everyone. You won't be disappointed.

26 people dined at Bellini's for our celebrations. Menu was reasonably priced and guests pre-ordered from an extensive range of dishes. It was a quiet Thursday night in December. I have heard some good reports about Bellini's and we were not disappointed..Friendly staff, majority are Italian. very nice decor, light and aerie.

Had a fantastic family meal to celebrate my mum’s 70th Birthday. Food was absolutely beautiful - waiters very polite, great service. Would definitely recommend for any occasion. Thank You for a great night
