Meze Restaurant in Calderdale

Enjoyed a Friday evening meal at Meze. The food was delicious. The service was great. This is my second visit to Meze and I will be returning

Our group of five friends booked into the Meze Restaurant for a late Sunday afternoon meal. We had booked a table as this is a very popular venue. Parking is close by just off Bethel Street and is free on Sundays. As we had been to Meze before, we know we would receive a happy welcome, friendly service and excellent food. Between us we ordered the following starters: Tiger Prawns, Halloumi, Korda and Fetta Pastry. They were accompanied with fresh, crisp bread. Everything was very tasty. For mains we order four portions of Lamb Kleftiko which come with either sautéed potatoes, chips or rice. We also ordered one Chicken Kebab which came with rice and fresh salad. As with the started, everything was delicious: tender lamb and tasty chicken. The staff and manager are very friendly and there is a good choice of drinks, including non alcoholic (Erdinger 0%). Together with a round of drinks, the bill came to just over £166, so £35 per person. Well worth a visit if you are in the Brighouse / Huddersfield.

Meze is a beautiful restaurant that definitely gives that “holiday feel” , especially on a sunny summer’s day! The food is absolutely delicious; generous portions and great value for money. One thing that could and should be improved upon is customer service. The waiting staff were far too eager and our main course came out immediately despite our request for a short break. The server said “she forgot” despite it being two minutes later! There was also a communication issue with another member of staff. Meze is definitely one of Brighouse’s best restaurants and is recommended.

We came on a Sunday evening and they actually had quite a few diners in. I had lamb with feta and my wife had beef stifado. The quality of the food was super. This is a very comfortable restaurant with very nice staff although one of the waitresses really struggled with speaking English. Prices are fair rather than low but the portion of meat in particular was generous.

What a fabulous restaurant! We visited whilst seeing friends in Bradford. Travelled over to Brighouse for a lovely meal at this recommended restaurant. Food was lovely and service excellent. The atmosphere was buzzing.

Absolutely fabulous. Wish we lived nearer! Can’t wait to return as it’s the only Greek/Mediterranean restaurant in Huddersfield that does a superb mixed fish grill. All the others seem to have dropped it from their menus. The chicken kebab was delicious as was the houmous and all are generous portions. The service is good too and it’s always busy!

Absolutely love it here! We came yesterday 7 adults and 2 children. The food is gorgeous, so tasty and beautifully presented and lots of it. We couldn’t fault it, the service was impeccable they couldn’t do enough for us. We can’t wait to return, thanks for a lovely experience as a family 🥰

Went here with partner and another couple. I have to say the service is excellent and welcoming. Now to the food: my chicken pastry starter was bland and flavourless and my main (mixed kebab) was just okay - the meat was a bit dry and tough and there weren’t many pieces of it. The salad was nice as was the rice. We all came to the same conclusion: Ambience 👍🏻 Service 👍🏻 Food quality 👎🏻

Incredible food! We dined as a family of four with two young children. We had the mixed kebab and a selection of starters as a main. All the family shared this. It was plentiful as portions are large. Every dish came beautifully presented accompanied with salad and dips. Very tasty! Unfortunately I cannot give five stars as staff were not very accommodating towards our young family. We were told to leave the pram in the car or be forced to sit on a barstool with our 13 month old and 3 year old. Be sure to try the chocolate orange cake! It was the best dessert I’ve had.

Called into the Meze Restaurant, Brighouse for an early evening meal with friends. We had pre-booked a table for six adults as this is a very popular restaurant. Parking is available at a car park around the corner from the restaurant. We chose three starters: Tiger Prawns, Prawn & Fetta and Sucuk ( spicy sausage) which were accompanied by warm, fresh bread. All the starters were very good. For mains we choose: 2 x Beef Stifado, 2 x Kleftiko and 2 x Stuffed Chicken ( Feta and Spinach) All mains come with a choice of potatoes and rice. All the mains were excellent. Together with 1 x Lemon Cheesecake and a round of drinks the bill came to £175, so £192 with a tip = £32 per person - which we thought was excellent value for money. For those chiding not to drink alcohol, Erdinger Alkoholfrei is available. Meze is well worth a visit.

Greek food at its best is what you will get at MEZE on a rainy Saturday night. Menu is comprehensive with something for every taste. The starters came quickly and ranged from a. Greek salad to prawns and feta in a lovely tomato sauce. The mains dishes were equally good with a fine range of traditional Greek cuisine. All served with potatoes served anyway you wanted or with rice. Good portion size and all piping hot. No room for desserts but a fine selection was available for those with extra large appetites. All in all a lovely meal with reasonably priced drinks and plenty of alternative zero alcohol choices. Good pricing meant an excellent evening for all six of us. Just one minus point. Whilst it’s always good to a have a pleasant atmosphere the noise from the tables meant communication with the staff and fellow diners was just about impossible. Minor point but not the place for a romantic evening for two.

We have passed by this restaurant and always been drawn by the wonderful aroma of charcoal bbq and finally had an opportunity to go. It was not a disappointment! The service and the food were outstanding; absolutely charming staff are a bit of a bonus these days. We ordered a variety of things between the three of us - kleftiko, kebabs, lamb with feta, and the most amazing bread and halloumi. Would definitely recommend this lovely place; it’s not quiet, so if you’re looking for a subdued spot for dinner you might want to consider that. I like to think it was because the people there were having a great time!

Myself and my partner went for a date night, we were meet at the door by a very pleasant man who took us to our table and introduced us to our waiters, from that point the night just got better, we had the meat meze see pictures, the service was excellent but not in your face just very attentive, we will be back again very soon

Fantastic, authentic food, lovely atmosphere and great, friendly staff. We booked a table for Good Friday to celebrate my father inlaws 80th birthday. We requested space for a wheelchair when we made the booking. Everyone was more than happy to accommodate us and the wheelchair access and they were so helpful when it came to helping my mother in law access the ladies room and when we left. The food was beautiful! I’ve had the lamb on every occasion I’ve been to this restaurant and it’s never disappointed!! The decor and atmosphere could almost make you think you were in a rustic Greek taverna in the middle of Corfu! We will absolutely be back again!!

Friendly welcome from the amazing staff! Starters soon came. Only ordered a few dips to share but so fresh and homemade. Mains then arrived. My wife ordered the Kleftico and I the large chicken kebab. Superb flavours! Well recommended! We will definitely be back guys! I used to also work in this building when it was Audiovision many moons ago so nice to see how lovely it had been transformed.

A fantastic restaurant that never fails to serve a beautiful meal! The range of starters always has me spoilt for choice, however the Calamari is amazing xx My personal favourite main course has to be the chicken kebab. Great food every time!

The food was great and the service was good. The restaurant also has a good atmosphere and is well laid out. The starters were very tasty and I'd recommend getting sharing items as a starter, if you're in a small group. I though the meal was relatively expensive, though at least I enjoyed it.

I booked for my husbands 40th Birthday and I couldn’t have asked for more from the staff. They seated us all in the back pat of the restaurant so there were no other tables around us. The service for 40 people was fabulous, organised and attentive. Food as always was outstanding. I would hesitate to go back with a large party. Thanks so much!

Returned here for my birthday and Meze never fail to impress. The meals are delicious, hot and made with care. My only suggestion would be to offer more dessert options.

For my Birthday treat we got our first delivery from Meze. Excellent food and service, I enjoy eating out at this restaurant and decided to try their takeaway menu. Ordered the sharing platter for 2 which was delicious, hot, plentiful and came with all the extras you’d expect if you were dining in. Great service and was treated like a valued customer.

I wanted to treat my parents to a meal for my dads birthday. I live in Woking, Surrey and thought it would be nice to get them a meal delivered. Well you exceeded all expectations, the food arrived on time and piping hot. My parents said each dish was delicious and portion sizes were amazing. They were left stuffed and super happy. I've never been a fan of Greek food but this restaurant and now take away is really good. Its all about taste, price and good food. I add price as you wont be breaking the bank.Our grandchildren love the food too. Age spam 3,6,15, 16. Everything was eaten from the plates.Finally I add one more important parts of a meal and thats service. Welcomed like a long lost friend. During covid its been take aways rather than sitting down. Staff are very motivated to good service. Great food and service trust me.

Mixed platter for 2 delivered to the door, food just like it would be if it was on a plate in the restaurant, nice and fresh, meat tasty and perfectly cooked, definitely recommend.

We visit here several times a year and weren’t disappointed again.Everything was socially distanced and cleansed.For starters we had sardines and hummus with Turkish bread. Very nice.For mains my wife had chicken kebab - this comes with rice and salad. I had Lamb and Feta. I had some potatoes as a side.Both were delicious and washed down with win and several efes.We couldn’t fit a pudding in and it came to about £65.Very enjoyable evening, not rushed, good company and food !

We have had several takeaway meals from Meze during lockdown. They have always been exactly what we ordered (even when we added a bottle of Ouzo to our order), and were delivered right on time. The food was excellent and as delicious as when we ate in the restaurant. Well done, Ali, Nihat and the team.

The food is very tasty and well prepared. The dining experience was excellent It is perfect for a family meal, but it could improve to have portion size of children as well. The staff is very friendly and professional as well.

Our family of four always enjoy a meal here. There is such a variety of dishes that everyone is happy and comes away full to bursting. We love the sharing plates. And the baklava!

Wanting something a little different for a Sunday evening, other than Indian or the "Covid lite" pub cuisine we decided to try Meze after a stroll around town. Really glad we did! Spacious yet cosy feel, able to converse with two ladies at an adjacent table-yet at a safe distance. The starters and mains deal enabled us to explore a few dishes which offered a range of flavours and textures. Memorable meal as its different to the usual offerings in the current climate.

We had a great evening. The food was excellent and it was a great atmosphere with everyone relaxed and enjoying themselves. As ever the staff were friendly and welcoming and the service excellent.

Good choice, super tasty & great if you have an allergy.The staff here are so friendly they really make a difference, they were attentive but not pushy, speedy but not rushed. Absolutely love Meze, it's our favourite restaurant in Brighouse. Food always delicious, staff are attentive and they are family friendly. We usually order the meat meze. So much variety and so much food! Can't fault the place!

We have been to Meze many times before & always loved the food. We went on the eat out to help out. Food was just as delicious as always. Service good, at some points a little slow, but not terribly so, but it was very busy. Can’t wait to come back.

We arrived last week at 5pm after booking a table over the telephone.We arrived and was given hand sanitizer and sat at a table in the back of the restaurant. Lots of space and very well laid out for social distancing.The food was lovely, we had 3 courses and all 3 were delicious. Would definately come back for the lamb!

I have been here a few time and the food is always exceptional. The only issue with my visit was some noisy people who were pretty much there just to drink as much as they could. However food was perfect and I will be back soon

We are regulars to your restaurant and were concerned when we visited on Friday 17th July that none of your staff had their face masks covering their noses. Not sure why that was but they are completely ineffective if they don’t cover your nose and mouth. No social distancing measures seemed to be in place the restaurant was busy with same no of tables are normal. We had the mixed meze for 2 which we have had many times but the no of courses and variety of food served was less than normalOverall we were disappointed, for the safety of customers and staff please review your safety measures

Visited at the weekend for the first time in a while. We had such a great time, the starters are all to die for and so hard to choose just one. The homemade bread is fantastic! My partner had chicken kebab and I had the stifado, both were so full of flavour and the sautéed potatoes are lush. A real taste of Greek and Turkish food, we will be back for sure.

My husband and I visited Meze for the first time yesterday and the only thing that disappointed us was that we didn’t know about this place sooner ! The welcome from the team was friendly, welcoming and genuine and the current COVID-19 restrictions in place didn’t feel to have taken away from the ambiance and genuine warmth of the place. The menu was exactly what you’d expect of a restaurant of this style - and is competitively priced too (early bird menus also available). After some difficult decisions - we opted for Kofte and Dolmades for starters - and mixed kebab and Crevettes (king prawns) for the main course. Every single item was top notch - amazingly tasty, well presented and everything clearly made from scratch with a lot of care. From the flavour of the sauce on the Kofte, and the amazing bread served with it - to the subtle flavours of the Dolmades - we both savoured every mouthful. Dolmades is a personal favourite of mine - and theirs did not disappoint - exceptional. The lamb on the mixed kebab was so very tender and full of flavour - as was the chicken. The Crevettes had a very slightly spicy sauce to accompany them and were an absolute delight. The side dishes of rice, potatoes and Greek salad were equally as delicious. A lovely chat with the proprietor highlighted that much of the lovely rustic / industrial decor was hand crafted by him - which shows the passion that he has for this place. Our first visit - but most definitely not our last.

Husband and I ordered a takeout from Meze, and it was fab. Restaurant quality food delivered to your door, by a happy delivery driver. Would recommend to anyone who loves lots of moreish food.

We celebrated our socially isolating 20th anniversary with a Meze delivery. The only thing missing was the wonderful ambience and unique atmosphere in the restaurant. The food as always was excellent. The Turkish pizza easily excelled a renowned outlet in Cesmealti .Adana kebab was as always fantastic.The Kunefe was a beautiful end to our fabulous meal. You thought of everything!We love you guys, working under such difficult times, you made our celebration special can’t wait to see you all again! X

Two of us dined on super Saturday. Social distancing was observed. Food (generally ) and service was good. The sardine starters were very disappointing...did ask the waiter if they were fresh and not frozen..he seemed a bit sheepish but confirmed they were fresh..upon arrival they looked as if they had been in the press i.e. they were squashed into a circular shape.. I didn’t find these enjoyable at all..later on in the evening I kept having an-after taste of those disappointing sardines!!

Absolutely outstanding, quality food and perfectly packaged for home. Never eaten from here before but I will certainly be visiting again and eating in once lockdown is finished. Dont feel bloated just the right amount of very tasty meat, salad, rice and sauces along with a beef stroganoff.I've even called the restaurant to voice my thankyou to the staff. Thumbs up guys.

Looking for a last minute takeaway and getting nowhere with the usual suspects we opted for Meze, ordered easily, arrived quickly and what a treat to have tasty, well cooked food, highly recommended, well done

We first met the owner when he was an energetic waiter at a restaurant in Rodley, Leeds. We have been coming to Meze in Brighouse ever since it opened. We decided a takeaway would be perfect for Father's Day. The food arrived promptly and was still hot. It all tasted delicious. Hopefully we will be be able to pay the restaurant a visit in person some time soon.

With limited dining options in lockdown we opted for a delivery from Meze to celebrate our daughters birthday. Ordering was easy via the website, and once ordered it shows you an update on your order so that you can see when it's on the way. The food arrived quicker than estimated, and was of excellent quality - just could have done with a slightly larger portion of the potatoes. We would certainly order again, and can hopefully visit the restaurant to eat in sometime soon.

Came for a very enjoyable meal last night. Very friendly waiter and tasty food. Shared the Meat Meze - included Greek salad, olives, chillis, dips, breads, sausage, halloumi, chicken kebabs and beef stifado. Was delicious! Very busy so definitely book in advance!

Went to Meze last sunday for my 50th birthday party with all my family and friends and what an amazing day we all had. The food was outstanding all 18 of us agreed how delicious all the different dishes had been (compliments to the chefs) and the atmosphere and place is really wonderful and our head waiter Tufan well what can I say !!! Hes an all round fantastic guy, super efficient,funny and tentative to all our needs on the day including his very own sense of humor which enhanced the party and made my birthday celebrations all that extra special!! brilliant restaurant,great value and all round plesure to eat there, thank you to all your staff you've got a little gem of a restaurant therecheers Richard

The bistro was packed on this Saturday evening but fortunately we had booked well in advance. We were greeted warmly on arrival and the service remained friendly and professional through out our meal. We skipped starters and chose mains of kebabs, swordfish and pirzola each costing around £15. All came with rice and salad and tasted good.

Had an amazing 3 course meal and enjoyed every mouthful. We went for lunch after a funeral The pulled pork was huge, mixed kebabs were very tasty, Sri Fido was delicious. All guzzejed down with a nice refreshing Turkish beer. Staff were friendly and had a laugh with us. Lovely afternoon had by all.

We went to Meze in Brighouse for my husband’s 60th birthday which was a surprise for him. We had a table in the middle of the room which seated all 15 of us. We were not rushed in any way at all and sat chatting for the first half hour just with drinks until we all decided what we wanted from the great menu. Lots of starters to choose from, sharing platters were great on the night with lots choosing them then some fantastic mains to choose from. We go to Turkey quite a bit several times a year and enjoy their food, this reminded us of our holidays but without the sunshine I had arranged for a birthday cake to be brought out and all the guys sang happy birthday which was a nice thing to do then brought us a large knife and lots of plates. Thank you for a fantastic night and we will definitely be back.

We visited on the 7/3/2020 as a birthday treat for our goddaughter. I must say this restaurant is excellent and well worth a visit. From the moment you enter the restaurant you are looked after extremely well. There was five of us all with different food requests. The food was absolutely fabulous. I will definitely be back. This is well worth a visit.

Absolutely beautiful food staff also brilliant everything was fresh and so well presented my daughter has a fantastic birthday meal and we will 100% going back😀😀👍👍
