So, we know this place and the food is very good, so much so that we booked a table eight weeks in advance for a table for two at 8.30 on a Saturday evening, the diary was brought to the table and we were the first in. I did change the booking three weeks before to a table for four… no problem! 3.42pm on day of booking called to confirm our table at 18.30 and when I pointed out it was actually 20.30 and I saw them write it in the diary the response was “I will try and change things round but as it stands we are fully booked” Called me back and unable to provide the table we had booked. I accept that there may be an element of human error but this is quite simply not acceptable when we had guests who we had recommended this restaurant to with us. Where do you find a nice Italian at such short notice? Then at 1940 receive a call from the restaurant to say that they can now fit us in straight away! Not good enough, lost our business and absolute lack of confidence meaning we most certainly will not return

Great place, great music and great atmosphere. Could ask for more.

We drove past the Golden Hind and wanted to stop but couldn’t park. Drove miles before we thought - let’s go back; the setting is perfect. So glad we did. Haddock and chips, curry sauce, tea cake, dandelion and burdock. Absolutely outstanding. We sat outside on the benches and dipped the chips in spicy, flavoursome curry sauce while I munched my fish butty. Will go back to try the scallops! Lovely owners and obviously very happy regulars!

I'm glad there are small bars opening up, It's great for customer choice and experience. This is a great little bar. For me though, I just found the bar staff a bit indifferent, and not really prepared to engage with people other than regulars. A simple hello on arrival and hope to see you again when I left would have been good. I did look round but didn't get any response. It's the little things which make you feel your custom is valued, perhaps this was a one off.

The food was delicious, the service was very nice. There is a large selection of dishes and drinks. I highly recommend it.

Absolutely delicious with super friendly service and my little dog was made very welcome.

Arrived really quickly despite it being a Friday evening. Food is soooo good. Didn't manage to get any pics cos we destroyed it immediately. Great quality. Kids meals were a good size. Recommend the boneless box 🤤🤤🤤

Asked if it’s halal, got kicked out. I later found out this takeaway is not halal certified.

Chill place if you want a quiet pint

Back in 2025, things have changed. More a dining place, bakery has shrunk. No more pizza. There's a more pricey menu. Nothing special but food still tasty. Think we prefer the way it was. Fresh and homely. Pizza is freshly made with right balance of tomato sauce and cheese. toastie is in fact a freshly baked ciabatta that's thick and fluffy and toasted, with generous filling of farm ham and cheese. Service is attentive and like chatting with friendly neighbour. Al fresco seating is comfortable. Wish we were not so full from the hearty portions that we had to doggy back the pizza, because there were freshly baked focaccia bread, mille feuille, cannoli, pies, tarts, and more. Definitely one of our top places to eat around Ilkley.

Nice food and atmosphere. A hidden gem!

Regular customer, Ordered from here a few times, we enjoyed the desserts, used to cost £5 for small and £6 for large, was more than happy paying that, even bought extra desserts, spending more however the portion sizes are small. So due to the prices rising to £6 for small and £7 for large, its just not worth the money for us anymore unfortunately.🙂
