Saturday 17th December We had a great pint of real ale in this Saltaire real ale pub great staff and locals following in this micro pub real ale pub I would advise anybody who wants a great pint of hand pumped ale to come to this micro pub Saturday 2nd November 2nd November 2024 Today, I again visited this terrific micro pub. The pub was packed with real ale drinking locals. This pub has a great owner and bar staff, and the 4 real ales on tonight were in a terrific ,well-kept state. This pub, when in Saltaire, is an essential visit for teal ale drinking

Really friendly micropub with outside seating to front and rear and a small but great selection of draft/cask beers. Just off the main road. Dogs are welcome and the customers are really nice. Definitely recommended if you are in the area.

Great choice of craft beer & cider, plus bottled drinks of various types. Friendly staff. Pleasant outside areas to sit front and back, and pretty quiet given its location near the 'main' road. Good views over Baildon Moor.

Excellent micro pub serving well kept cask ales and craft kegs. Friendly and welcoming. Some outdoor seating, well worth a visit.

The Cap n' Collar is a 'hobby' bar, presumably run by people who made money in the financial sector and thought it would be fun to run a bar. (The name gives it away)) The beer is OK but it isn't run likea pub. Example: Friday 10.42 a staff member asks if we want any more beer. Our glasses are half full; wesay 'not just now'. 10.48 We decide to get a last round in. But the bar is closed - despite advertising an 11.00 close. It feels like its a bar run for the benefit of the owners and staff. It must be nice to run a business where you are not bothered about making any money, but this one decision this evening has, unbeknown to them, lost a lot of business. They won't care.

Great range of beers plus a decent set of everything else for anyone that wants a good night away from big screens and blaring speakers. Don't do alcohol? They've got you covered there, and happy to make a proper pot of Yorkshire Tea if that's your thing. Regular nights like board games and book clubs arranged too, making it easy for people to meet, or if you're new to the area looking to make friends it's a great place to start. Friendliest bar staff you'll meet, and they're knowledgeable of all the drinks too (just say "I normally like..." and they'll have a perfect recommendation).

Quality little boozer, with some decent ale on tap. Worth a visit

This was a lovely little surprise we found on the way to Salt beer factory, and what a find it was too. It isn't the biggest bar in the world but is nice and snug and as we found a local pub full of local people, who by the way were aii super friendly. The beer choice wasn't massive but ample and to find Magic Rock Highwire on cask just made my night. A lovely pub indeed.

Gem of place I’ve found when I visit my family in Bradford from London. Love coming here as selection of ales is excellent and atmosphere is fab. Small place but don’t let that put you off. Staff behind the bar amazing and pleasure to wind down and enjoy a proper pint in a lovely part of Yorkshire. Please don’t let this place ever close. Hopefully bring the london lass next time I am up so she can see herself what a lovely gem of a place this is.

I love the Cap & Collar. On the surface, just a simple bar. But the range of beers is fabulous, the staff friendly and knowledgeable and I've always left having had friendly conversations with twice as many people as I knew when I walked through the door - wonderful!

Great local pub, with craft beers available. Lots of events going on here too, so a fab addition to the community!

Small and friendly but not much option at all for people who can't drink alcohol if alacated driver.

Great micropub with 8 draught beers. We happened on October fest with brass band playing German and pop covers in the backyard. Ausgezeichnet!

Their beer knowledge is second to none and a beautiful garden to the front and rear!

Great micro pub with four excellent cask ales and plenty of crafties. Dog friendly and a small beer garden at the back. My Titanic Plum Porter was fantastic!

Don’t get to go out to pubs very often but the Cap is always our go-to when we have the chance for a swift pint! Always a great beer selection, super friendly and helpful staff and excellent service. They have a great little beer yard out the back which is hidden away. Big fan of the poppadom and chutney snacks!

Ace local pub. Friendly knowledgeable staff and a good selection of independent brews and gins. Gets a bit most at times but in a good way. Only thing I really don't like it's the 1 loo. Shared by everyone. They keep them decent but some blokes just don't know how to aim after a couple of pints!

Excellent little micro pub. Good cheerful service and a wide range of beers. Fairly packed with cheerful customers on a Saturday afternoon.

Long overdue a visit here... plenty of hype for such a small place off the beaten track. Overall - i was extremely disappointed with my experience on the day. Place is a bit cold and damp, with awful acoustics. Couldnt quite get comfortable or relaxed to sample the ales on tap. The owner appeared to be serving - somewhat knowledgeable but very pushy with his offerings. An annoying little man in truth, who wasnt really for listening to my retorts and what i would prefer to drink or indeed what i thought of the tiny sample of ale he stuck under my nose. Came across a little grumpy to me.... and i thought the customer was always right? Oh well. We supped up and moved on with our day - we wont be back in a hurry. Cannot recommend based on our poor experience of awful customer service.

Always a good selection of beer. Some restrictions in place and table service ensures you have plenty to drink. Attentive staff with seating inside and outside both at front and back.

Excellent covid organisation and a fine choice of real ales made for a relaxing evening. My previous visits have generally been when the bar was crowded so it was good to have space although possibly not so good for turnover!

Great beers in a cozy and small place out from the classic tourists routes on Saltaire.

I live in Burnley but drop in with my dad whenever I go to visit him, it's a very welcoming pub with a laid back atmosphere and very fine quality beer. It's maybe a little tightly spaced inside but it also has a very nice beer garden and the staff/owner could not be friendlier.

Really nice, no TV or radio to bother you. Friendly staff that really know their beer/gin. It's also dog friendly so lots of great doggos to pet!

This place is superb. Constantly changing beer selection on cask and keg, interesting cans and bottles plus wine and cider, and friendly, knowledgeable staff. Highly recommended.

First visit and it won't be the last. We had a brilliant evening. The service is friendly, the atmosphere is great and the range of beers, ciders and spirits are excellent. The place is small but that adds to its charm. The pork pie was tasty too! 👍
