Popped in for brunch yesterday and what a find. Best ham and eggs I’ve ever had . Lovely setting, good service and great value for money.

Nipped in today for a a bite to eat, beautiful place we felt like we were in Italy. Food was amazing and most importantly dogs are welcome too. We will 100% be going back.

It's a busy day here, and the kitchen is a bit backlogged. I don't mind waiting for food, but I do mind waiting for it when it arrives cold. Manager apologised and was nice about it all but this has been a bad experience and not one I'll repeat.

An absolutely delightful destination for anyone who enjoys good food and hospitality. Will be back.

Really lovely setting and lovely staff, girl with blonde hair was very good considering it was busy. However, 1 flat white, 1 luxury oat milk hot chocolate(which they'd ran out of cream for), a bakewell slice and a square of cornflake tart £17!!!! 2 drinks and 2 cakes £17. We don't mind paying that if it's worth it but didn't feel like it was worth it. Shame as everything else about it is fab.

Absolutely fantastic little independent. Delicious coffee and cake. Extremely friendly staff. All took the time to have a chat. Highly recommend a visit there!

We just had coffee and salmon and scrambled eggs on toast. It was lovely, eggs were cooked to perfection. We will be back.

Beautiful place, great food and excellent service from friendly staff. Lunch menu is a little bit limited, but it was easy enough to find something to keep us all happy. Will be back, and would love to return one evening.

Brilliant find on our weekend away. Just had drinks Friday night but atmosphere and service so good we went back for lunch the next day and were not disappointed. Fantastic menu and also farm shop definitely deserves a visit

A really lovely setting with a warm welcome and friendly service. However we thought the menu which mainly consisted of beef options a bit ordinary. Very limited for vegetarians if you don't want a pizza. Lasagne was disappointing . Small portions and overpriced.

Nothing particularly joyful about this place very mediocre. The setting is pleasant enough but again a decent authentic cup of real coffee is hard to find. There was a lingering unpleasant aftertaste from the coffee suggesting filter problems I asked what coffee do you use and it was seen as a criticism. If I served a coffee that lacked the body, and flavour like that in Livorno I would have my Italian citizenship revoked. Please dear owner listen to your customers.

Just had lunch here with two friends. What a delightful place. Lovely food, friendly service and a beautiful setting. I will return.

As with all my little journeys of discovery i came across this little jem of a place just outside of Ilkley,Yorkshire so coming from west to east the van in layby guiding you in with its advert to a small road for half a mile an old barn hundreds of years old converted cafe and farm shop and discovered a pinic garden at the rear, this away from the hustle of road noise and town centre has got to be a switch off for the best of us although was playing some nice relaxing music in the background. Just a quick bite as time was getting on they were closing soon but were not rushing me order my cornish pastie and cheesecake with a lovely cup of coffee could spend hours relaxing staff were amazing very happy and willing nothing was a bother as i do love finding these special places and a good review is like a ticket to go you must try at least i must stress ita not the cheapest but where it is makes up for the calmness it brings and the staff make it that much more pleasant i hope to pass again when down in the area as it is a few hours away from me but my work takes me all over and this kind of place makes work alot more enjoyable only when you have the time of course pleasure or business this is sure to impress

The scone was tiny, cold and hard. Coffee was nice. £14 for two little cold hard scones and coffee. Won't be back

Excellent for a stop when on a drive out. Plenty of seating, great food, and they den serve the cappuccino with cinnamon powder. Just perfect.

Excellent place to stop for a coffee, a meal or a snack, on the old road to Addingham, just outside Ilkley.

A very rustic and unique place with an italian vibe. Only came for a coffee and a muffin but had a browse at the Friday evening menu which looked lovely and combined with the atmosphere sounds fantastic for an alfresco summer dining experience and eager to try. They stop serving food after 2:30 but still a range of cakes and deli items to choose from for an afternoon snack

What a wonderful gem the Barn is. Yes it maybe a little chilly but the blankets and hot water bottles certainly make up for the chill. The staff and the food provided are top quality and after our second visit in so many weeks, this family run business is certainly attracting the customers. I will be passing the word around. What a great find. It's a quirky place, the staff are brilliant and the food delicious. We will most definitely return once the days warm up and sitting outside is possible. Inside was nice with blankets and hot water bottles provided!

Had brie,bacon and cranberry quiche, best quiche I have ever tasted. Hubby had ham and eggs,best quality ham,eggs were gorgeous he said and fries were lovely and crispy. Will definitely be back.

A real hidden gem, we were so glad to have found it. Great food, especially the sausage roll and generous helping of Carrot Cake.

Called in for the first time for breakfast, had a lovely welcome, the staff were amazing. We ordered a bacon bap and a sausage bap both were delicious 😋 the coffee was one of the best tasting we've had. In fact we got extra to take away when we left. Would definitely recommend and we will return.

We have been to the Joyful Deli a number of times, normally on our regular walks from Ilkley, but wow, what a surprise today; instead of sitting outside we were shown into a lovely, atmospheric barn. The staff were all very welcoming, the food and drinks fantastic and the hot water bottles a nice touch, providing welcome relief having walked a number of miles over Langbar Moor. I felt a little under-dressed in shorts and hike boots but no-one bothered and although I didn’t have my dog with me this time, they are welcome. Thank you Jilly and your team, we shall be back!

What a gem of a place . Fab food , fab menu great staff .Being a deli loads of fresh produce home made baking and cake like treats on offer mmmmm It’s a barn it can be cold but with the log fires the blankets, hot water bottles all there if you do feel the cold makes this place fabulous . Can’t recommend this place any higher than get yourselves there and try it 😉

We bought some ground coffee from here, the lady was very kind and knowledgeable even letting us sample some before purchase which is very uncommon but highly important. Unfortunately the lady mistakenly picked out a bag not suitable for an Espresso machine (the other bag was fine) we had opened this bag without realising. The lady very generously replaced this bag for us free of charge. I would consider the Lonton coffee to be competing with some of the best.

Couldnt fault food. Had Ham Terrine and Broccoli and 3 cheese soup with cheese toastie. Delicious. Tea could have been hotter. Good location. Will go again soon with family.

What a lovely wee place. Lovely atmosphere in an old barn with the beams and roof coverings still in place. Blankets and hot water bottles available if you’re a bit chilly although the wood burner keeps things toasty warm. Food was delicious. All seems to be home cooked/baked and truly one of the nicest quiches I’ve ever tasted. Staff were lovely and friendly and they even sell fresh bread, fruit, veg (locally grown!!) and different alcohol (wines, beers etc!). I’ve seen a few negative comments on price and while it’s not your Costa/Nero prices (although not far off!), for quality, home made food in an independent place with loads of charm it’s 100% worth what you pay. Will definitely be going back!!

Amazing place - so glad to have visited - lovely atmosphere and delicious food. Highly recommend- will be back! The olive and anchovy pizza is hands down THE best pizza I have ever had.

Good but expensive food, lots of seating outside and inside a large barn. But it's cold even inside, they do their best with rugs and even hot water bottles but they really need a couple of space heaters. That said it is a good atmosphere and eys are welcomed. Wrap up well and call in for a coffee at least.

A hidden gem with a warm welcome and friendly staff! They have hot water bottles and blankets for colder months, which makes it cosy. The new barn is very special and is well worth a visit for coffee and cake (or the food menu also looks great) 😊

Lovely authentic local farm shop café. The food was generous and excellent, the service friendly and professional, and the barn space unique and quirky. Although cold, it is a barn in January and you can't fault them on that, and the hot water bottles and log burner helped enormously.

Loved this place, we went to eat in the barn and had booked a table as its only small and gets busy. It's so cosy in there, hot water bottles and plenty of blankets if it's too cold. The food was lovely and I could have stayed for hours! Dog friendly too which is a bonus.

I've been wanting to visit the Joyful Deli for a while, it is a nice place but I would go back in the summer as it was very cold inside the barn.

Absolutely fabulous experience. Came across this by accident but would travel to to back again now we know it's there. Had kippers with tomatoes, kale poached eggs and sourdough toast which was so special.

If it's a chilley day put an extra layer on.

Good food and friendly service. Bit chilly even though there are some heaters. Hopefully things will improve when the wood burner is installed.

The staff are very helpful and friendly, would love to visit more, no gluten free bread or cakes, it's an intolerance not an allergy, and not a life choice! like vegetarians "the coffee is wonderful xxx

We were walking the dales way and came across this gem by chance. The nicest setting full of amazing staff who couldn't do enough for us and our dogs. If you are in the area this is a must visit. Thank you for looking after us so well x

This is such an unusual place. It's in a barn, which has been decorated. Blankets were provided to keep you warm. It's a shop and cafe/restaurant which was a great find.

Absolutely beautiful place for meals, we had a fabulous breakfast and will definitely be back for an evening meal. The staff are super friendly and you can even buy extra treats/cakes to take home…which of course we did!

We enjoyed the most magnificent afternoon tea with a bottle of Prosecco. Wonderful friendly service, fantastic quality produce, the barn is a really pretty setting which made this afternoon tea feel really special. Jilly and the team spoilt our cocker spaniel with some lovely cooked ham. Thank you for a great afternoon.

What a brilliant place. Great ambience, great food, great service. It will now become our go to lunch stop when passing through. The only negatives were the toilet (difficult to bolt the door - easily fixed I'm sure). The salt cellars didn't work - also easily fixed. This however is nit picking.

This place is a must if you are visiting or passing Addingham. Jilly and her staff are professional with a friendly and joyful attitude. The food is amazing. The quality of all the ingredients used is top notch.

My ideal cafe. Casual, cosy, tasteful and dog friendly. We arrived in pelting rain to be welcomed to the indoor haven with blankets, candles.

Excellent food and service a little bit pricey but worth the treat on a sunny day.

Nice to sit out in the sun and have coffee and bacon sandwich. Not cheap but nice.

What an amazing relaxing experience we have had today. Outdoors in the fresh air with mediterranean music 🎵 beautiful surroundings. Felt like we were abroad and not in the middle of Yorkshire. Food was amazing with a great variety of drinks and lovely coffee and the service was outstanding. This is a must try. You will not be disappointed. 

Fresh and homely. Pizza is freshly made with right balance of tomato sauce and cheese. toastie is in fact a freshly baked ciabatta that's thick and fluffy and toasted, with generous filling of farm ham and cheese. Service is attentive and like chatting with friendly neighbour. Al fresco seating is comfortable. Wish we were not so full from the hearty portions that we had to doggy back the pizza, because there were freshly baked focaccia bread, mille feuille, cannoli, pies, tarts, and more. Definitely one of our top places to eat around Ilkley.

An amazing hidden gem. I had the veggie breakfast and my partner had the full English. Good quality and good portion size, but the service is what makes it special all the ladies were so welcoming. The coffee was great too. Highly recommended

Poor service for amount of staff.Overpriced for portion size .£40 plus for two light lunches coffee and cake,sorry won't be back.

We popped into the joyful deli for a fabulous vegetarian breakfast and coffee . All the staff very friendly and happy. It has developed into a lovely place to relax with a lovely breakfast and lunch menu. Lots of produce to purchase and from what I could see lots of delicious looking cakes. We will be back 😊 soon.

A charming, rustic cafe with very friendly staff. We were able to find a table inside, though most of the seating is outside - perfect for a sunny day! There was a good range of breakfast and lunch options on the menu, and there was an excellent choice of cakes! We really enjoyed the food and would visit again.

A cheerful positive grown organically from the misery of the pandemic. Starting out during covid times just selling plants and flowers at first, people started sitting on the wall and chatting and eventually started asking "have you got a coffee?". Now it's grown to have a full and delicious menu of hot, cold, sweet and savoury dishes that are mostly on display when you walk in. Inside are comfy and cosy sofas and low tables and outside is a spacious and varied array of tables and chairs mixed in among the stalls of home grown veg and plants. The atmosphere is like a laid back community hub, it doesn't feel like a normal cafe and I mean that in a very good way. It's truly warm and welcoming and the staff is lovely. A pair of famous Olympic cyclists turned up although my mum was the only person to bat an eye, it's the dogs that got treated like the real celebrities, getting sausages and water and just as warm a welcome as anyone else. I really like this place and highly recommend it.

Wow, just Wow! We passed this place a few weeks ago whilst searching out for another beginning with H. This morning was a bright, sunny March morning and we both fancied a brew in the early spring sunshine. WE HAVE FOUND A GEM!! Jilly and staff are beyond expectation, so friendly and welcoming. What this lady has brought to the area since ‘lockdown’ is an absolute diamond in Addingham’s crown! Jilly took time and came to join us at our table, telling us how the idea came to her after offering warm drinks to passers by, to creating a business on a quiet, unknown lane just outside ‘Dingham’! My partner struck up a closer conversation with Jilly as they both spent they're early year's in Rawden. We felt, upon leaving, that we were ‘friends’ reunited! Jilly is a lovely lass, we both wish you well. We will definitely be back, maybe just for a brew... Or when it warms up, Pizza and Tapas. Thank goodness we found you Jilly.🥰 Adrian & Anne-Maria ❤️

We stumbled on this amazing place on a walk yesterday. We were completely blown away by the warmth of the welcome, the traditional rustic cozy feel of the deli. The food and coffee were completely amazing all fresh and home-made.with the added bonus of meeting Jilly, Mike and their lovely family. We have only just met you but we feel like we are friends already.A textbook example of the way a great business should be operated. we can’t wait to come back. Chris and Tracy Henry Xxx
