After a walk into town we called here for coffee & cake for the first time on Sunday 30th Jan. This place has a real quirky interior which really added to the experience, great coffee & the nicest carrot cake at a brilliant price. Add this to a super smiley host with the friendliest service & you get a place we'd definitely visit again & certainly recommend to others.

The place is well decorated with lovely attendants. Food was really good, I took my family of four on a road trip from Manchester and stumbled on to this gem. We all had a nice dinner! Lovely host. will come back again for sure, if we are back in town!

Left before ordering, we didn't dare sit down in case we landed on another customer's knee! This small venue has too many tables pushed into the space available, plus steps inside the door to navigate. Too many levels. Profits are essential but not at the cost of practicality, ease of movement and comfort.

Never been before, this is truly a gem. Sunday lunch was the BEST we have ever had out, staff wonderful, couldn't fault anything, but the jewle in the crown had to be the salted caramel cheese cake sublime thanks to all staff, we may live 30 miles away but we will back

When visiting the Cooper Art Gallery we had lunch at the Impressions Coffee Lounge. As we could see it was very small we asked if we could book a table for after we had looked around the gallery. Lovely menu with hot and cold food much of it home made. We had quiche and salad and lasagne and salad. Both delicious, fresh and very reasonably priced. The staff were so friendly and helpful. What a gem! It is clearly very popular so I would advise booking.

Yet another excellent lunch. My wife had broccoli & stilton soup which she said was hot & tasty. I had chorizo & cheese panini which was superb. To follow apple & cherry crumble which was to die for. Washed down with tea & their super coffee. The service is prompt & super friendly. A gem in Barnsley.

My first time visiting here and I will give it another go. Decided to have a large fish, chips and peas. This was the biggest piece of fish I had ever seen. The batter was tasty and the quantity and quality of fish was second to none. The chips and peas were standard run of the mill, but what swung it for me was the size of the fish and the friendly service.

This place is seriously good. In 40 years of eating out I had the best Thai curry ever here. The restaurant was previously known as Munjacks but it's under new ownership and the place itself has had a lovely makeover. The chef knows what she is doing, beautiful flavours, generous portions and great service.Starter prices from £1.75 to a mixed starter for two at £9.95.Stir, noodle and fried rice dishes as well as curries so plenty of choice.Mains are priced between £4.80-£5.90 with special a bit more.I will be back very soon
