I really enjoyed the food, relaxed atmosphere and very friendly staff. There is no wi-fi so I just hot spotted off my phone. I got a lot of work done.

Heard about Gallagher’s of Barnsley and we decided try it for lunch. I am so glad we did as we couldn’t fault anything, from the locally sourced ingredients, quality of food and friendly service. The various home made cakes were too tempting and we just had to try one. I also liked the selection of artisan gifts that were available and the proprietors ethos of supporting local businesses. I would highly recommend Gallagher’s of Barnsley and we are already planning a return visit.

Absolutely fab customer service went in for bacon sarnie and a latte beautiful atmosphere cozy clean and my kinda place really enjoyed will be off every time I want a good load of food and a spot on coffee xxx

Had a fabulous lunch at Gallagher's of Barnsley. Lovely sandwiches, amazing home cooked cakes and a fab selection of hot drinks. Fab selection of artisan gifts, can highly recommend the jam. Highly recommend this hidden gem. Will be back soon.

Such a lovely cafe. Spotlessly clean and friendly service. Although we have only called for coffee, the meals that are served look very tasty. Sensibly priced too. You should try it!

My wife & I usually go early afternoon for their super lunches. However this morning we had to be in the Town Centre early so went for breakfast. Well what a treat. The poached eggs on toast were "out of this world" accompanied by their super tea. Cannot recommend this place too often. We tell all our friends & neighbours about it.

First time visit to Gallagher’s. Lunch for two, but we needed something suitable for a diabetic. The proprietor was so friendly and helpful, and talked us through the menu of home cooked/prepared food. Nothing was too much trouble and we enjoyed two different salads, customised for our dietary challenges. Food was fresh, well presented, and served in a clean and fresh environment. Coffee was delicious. We’ll be going back and I’d recommend this place without any hesitation.

Great local cafe in the Victorian arcade. Seems run by a couple who are friendly, welcoming and never stop! Had a lovely on a busy pre Christmas shopping day. It was busy but we managed to get a table. Had a lovely freshly prepared lunch of sandwiches & soup. All tasty and very well presented. They had a great selection of cake & sweet treats but we were too full! Cafe has a selection of local crafty makes for sale which is a nice touch. Welcoming, clean, friendly & reasonably priced lunch. Always our go to place when visiting the local market. Highly recommend.

Went close to closing time but owners very obliging. Had some delicious homemade cakes. The coffee was excellent and decaf tea and coffee was available. Very relaxing environment and good service. Would definitely recommend

Great spot for lunch. Friendly staff (owners) and good food at a reasonable price. My sister and I both had the Bacon, Brie & Cranberry panini. Drinks were Cappuccino & Americano.

This was our first trip to Gallagher's and it won't be our last. My husband and I went with our 11 month old after wondering where we could go for a coffee that would have enough space for our pram. As soon as we we entered the gentleman (should have asked his name but we didn't, doh, I believe he's the owner) saw us straight away and said 'would you like to sit at this table and then you've got space for the pram' he moved the chairs out of the way and instantly got us a high chair. This might sound the norm but actually it really isn't. He gave us time to get settled before giving us a menu and then said he would make a toasted teacake for our son and it wasn't a problem. From then, they chatted to us and our son and just couldn't do enough for us. They made us feel welcome and at ease and the coffee and cake was absolutely beautiful. I would recommend it to anyone, they knew customers names (obvs regulars) but it had a personal feel which you just don't get anymore. It really was a joy and we left with smiles on our faces.

Well what a hidden gem this tearoom is 😀 homemade cakes are to die for as well as lots of teas and coffee’s and lovely milkshakes, what makes this place stand out from the rest is the service, it’s like coming home the staff make you so welcome your like old friends. I find it’s not what you serve but how you serve it that will keep people coming back here, a welcome smile and a chat is sometimes all the medicine you need. Thank you to all the staff you should be proud of what you have achieved in the last year 😘

Lovely place. Very relaxing and welcoming. The owners were very hands on and happy to tell you about any of the local produce they sell in their restaurant. The coffee and cake were top notch 👌 😋

Called in today Saturday morning as we had been recommended by a friend. Well we were not disappointed. Nice decor and the lady owner greeted us on our entrance. We sat at a table with nice comfy chairs. We were soon handed a menu and there was a varied choice. I had poached eggs on white bread and despite being poached in a poacher were very nice. My wife had a toasted fruit teacake. We both had tea which was also very nice. We did enjoy our visit and I am sure we will be back again. Well worth a visit.

Absolutely lovely cafe. The staff were knowledgeable about their products and could even answer me when I asked what the ingredients of their cakes were. Had a gorgeous hot chocolate, made from melted chocolate not just some rubbish from a powder and an all butter...

Amazing place, take time to speak to customers and take exta measures to make sure your food is perfect for you, and that it was. Especially the home made lemon raspberry oil cake!

Visited this cafe for tea and ended up having a slice of cake which was yummy. Very comfy chairs great service and nice people. They also have a shop area which was very well priced.

We visited the café while travelling to Barnsley on a business meeting. Service was professional courteous and friendly and the food was amazing. The coffee was so good we had to have 2 each. Highly recommended.
