My experience of the lovely village public house is always excellent. The staff are amazing, the food is prefect. 10 out of 10.

The food was really good and the service was amazing! We had a really lovely lady serving us (I didn't ask her name but she was very pretty and had tattoos!), who was so friendly and helpful our whole evening ☺️ My friends (and their dog!) and I all felt really welcome as soon as we got there - would definitely go back!

Greeted warmly and shown to our table which I had booked on line. Started with the sharing platter followed by the hunters chicken and fish and chips. Really friendly and attentive staff. Will definitely visit again.

Took dogs on a walk and called in for a drink. The staff were very welcoming and got us a couple of stools so we could sit at the bar. Good atmosphere and food smelled lovely, which we will try another time.

The atmosphere is cosy and inviting, with a rustic decor that perfectly matches the pub's charming character. Dan and his team are incredibly friendly and attentive and go out of their way to ensure you have a great experience. Every dish on the menu is made with care and attention to detail. Their Sunday roasts are delicious, as well as their evening meals, and the homemade desserts are a must have! We have been to their wine and gin-tasting evenings which are great nights out either as a couple or with friends. They also have Thursday quiz nights which are lots of fun and plenty of prizes to win! Overall, we can't recommend this family-run pub enough. It's the perfect place to gather with friends and family over a nice meal or an evening at the quiz, and the warm and welcoming atmosphere will make you feel right at home. It really is worth a visit!

Called in to see in the New Year with family, there was a great atmosphere and it wasn't overcrowded. Drinks were reasonably priced , no big queues to get served - staff were very pleasant and attentive

We went for Sunday lunch and had a small one and it was so filling we waited for half an hour before we even thought about having a dessert. When we did have a dessert they where big but we really enjoyed the meal.😊

Absolutely fantastic meal here, served by CORA, I think I’ve spelt that write, we’ve been here on numerous occasions and not had a bad meal. Really friendly helpful staff, always a pleasure to go in, whether it’s for a meal or a quick pint. On this occasion I had a beef sizzler with rice and sweet chilli sauce and again was absolutely gorgeous, I have also had the King Prawn Hanging Skewer and again I was blown away by it, next on my list is a beef Hanging Skewer

Wow what a great afternoon dining experience With Marie and Hannah. Fantastic Sunday lunch in this one of my locals in the village. Great food, Great service, Great company, Great atmosphere. Filled with local people from our village. Eat local with the people we grew up with. Please Darfielders give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.

Love a good night out in the keys. Tony and all the staff are really friendly. Food and beer is lovely. If you haven't tried this pub you deffo should. Also advise giving the darfield new un sizzler grill or sportsman also located in darfield and owned by Tony also.

Very helpful and friendly. Couldn't do enough to help with wheelchair access. . The food was also very good.

First visit to this friendly local. Some good drink offers , and great food. You must try one of their screwers, excellent value for money.

New owners have really turned this place around, fantastic food, a brilliant atmosphere, friendly staff and fabulous drinks, (I recommend the Neck Oil IPA). Had a great night out and will definitely be back!

I was visiting family and we decided to have Sunday lunch at the Cross Keys. We booked a table and there was no problem sorting this out. When we arrived we were seated but the music was a bit loud. We asked if it could be turned down so we could hear each other and it was. We did not have to wait long for our food and it was very tasty. We had desserts afterwards and they were 2 for £6.50. Great value! The staff were very welcoming and friendly.

Amazing food and incredible service from the ladies serving both food and drinks. My wife had a gorgeous homemade pie with a freshly baked crust not microwaved like most places, creamy mash and fresh veg. I had a gorgeous burger, homemade onion rings, fresh salad and homemade coleslaw. To finish I had a delicious Biscotti dessert and cream. One of the best meals I've ever had and certainly the cheapest for such incredible quality. We've already booked for Sunday lunch (Dinner to us Northerners 😁). A couple in the corner were telling us how wonderful their meal was and said the Sunday dinner was just like homemade, so we booked that as well. We'll certainly be regulars from now on. 👌

Visited about a month ago, and I stupidly kept forgetting to leave a review! Absolutely lovely people who own the pub and also lovely, friendly hospitality! The renovation is fab too. Great place to stop off if passing nearby ☺️

Grand pint of Tetley's Cask, really well refurbished, friendly and welcoming people and good looking food though we didn't have time to try it

No real ales on, no system to advise if and what real ales are on. Nice decor inside, beer garden was good, grass nice and short. Expensive for what We got Johns one of the cheaper drinks £3 a pimt. Can't imagine being a frequent visitor.

First time there, we were made feel very welcome. Extremely friendly staff. And they sell Farmers Blonde, so a win-win.

Only caters for drinkers. This pub has so much potential. It's a waste of a perfectly situated venue. Could be making a fortune instead of just getting by on " beer sales" It's a great shame.

while staying with friends in Darfield we went on an impromptu pub crawl we visited the Cross Keys and was served with a lovely pint of Ale and was able to sit outside in the small seating area. Well worth a visit

Ok back street pub trying to make a living, but they haven't reaslised yet that charging reasonable prices for their drinks is what will attract customers most! They work hard to entertain customers but don't have the class of establishment that warrants premium prices!!!

This was our first visit in many years and we were very pleasantly surprised. Made to feel most welcome. Served a cracking pint of Timothy Taylor's Landlord that couldn't have been bettered anywhere. Clean and tidy pub, no loud music kids, welcome, good crowd at the bar
