Great breakfast, value for money nice food ,plenty on the plate ,hot and not greasy.

We go there every week and we always have a good time, it's nice and relaxing and friendly. The coffee is just how we like it and the food is delicious.

Friendly welcoming staff, a favourite for a tea time pint with the dog....

Don't know who the '"chef" is but they got the order mixed up and they can't do poached eggs, atmosphere gets 3 stars,because I was with family

I really like the ambience.. food is delicious and the quantity especially is great. Not bad for the price at all.

It was pouring rain, so I thought I better have a sit down lunch. I've been here before and it was quite good, so I ordered a chicken Caeser salad, since I have had it before. What I got was a plain garden salad, with the toughest meat ever. Had to ask for a steak knife. Oh, and the horrible wine selection; I know Hardy's and Barefoot are under a tenner at the Co-Op, but I have worked for wine distributors and was hoping you had something better for those prices. The salad I got was iceberg lettuce, tomatoes,cucumber, soft cheddar and mild dressing. I explained that Caeser, by the very definition, is supposed to be a dressing made with anchovies, eggs and garlic, served on Romaine lettuce with croutons and parmesan. The only ingredient they got right was croutons, the rest was wrong! I know this is up North; I know people don't have the most sophisticated palate, but if you want to charge London prices, try London recipes...and service.Looks like a restaurant, service like a pub! It's supposed to be a mix of creamy and savory...not bland. Here is the recipe...now my mother used to make the dressing from scratch, but again, you can buy the right lettuce,cheese and dressing at the Co-Op. When I asked 'why' they said that was the way they do it. I said, if I ordered chocolate ice cream, would it be OK to give vanilla...because 'that is the way we do it?' Order Coke but get Sprite because 'that is the way we do it?'. It's called deception in advertising...these days, you can't just give people whatever due to dietary needs! Just like the anchovies can be substituted with Worchestershire sauce to avoid shellfish allergens; OK, but you legally cannot make one thing and call it amother...especially at those prices? Even McDonalds has to follow a recipe for maximim similarity...can't go rogue on a Big Mac! So, here's the recipe for an actual Caeser Salad... Caesar Salad Recipe Ingredients: 1 large or 2 small heads of romaine lettuce. Parmesan cheese, shredded or shaved. Crisp croutons – homemade can be made several days ahead. The recipe below makes enough for 2 salads. Caesar salad dressing – homemade is best and here is our favorite store-bought dressing in a pinch.

First time in this pub , greeted with a smile , fantastic atmosphere, definitely return back Good selection of lager , beer 10/10

Took ages to get served even though no one was at the bar , maybe was busy in kitchen 🤷‍♀️waited about 7minutes with nobody about.lovley pint n pub though

Always a great atmosphere both during the day and at night. Good selection of drinks, food is excellent but only a small menu. Prices are reasonable.

First time visiting, mid week. Still busy. Decided to order food. We both had the steak and onion baguette. Food was well presented, quality good and quantity Good size . I actually didn't manage to finish mine as was too much for me. Atmosphere was busy, I think it one of those places were locals dominant the bar and if your new it's noticed 😆. That said bar staff friendly and helpful

Been here a few times always been good food, last visit we had a large breakfast which was ok, I asked for the Scottish eggs with salmon on brown bap,which before have been perfect, it came on a nice oblong plate with a jug of hollandaise sauce. But the poached eggs were very hard and some of the the salmon was brown, I sent this back the replacement was served which I presuming was the chef ( i could be wrong) she came over and slammed it on the table, she may as well have thrown it at me. Served on a ordinary plate less salmon and white bap, dare not send it back again 🤔. Might have actually got it thrown at me ha. but eggs were perfect 👌.

Never been before but was suggested by my dining partner as a spot for breakfast. So visited early on a midweek day (opens at 9 I think). The place is primarily a pub with the usual that comes with that - big screen televisions, fruit machines etc. but the décor was very appealing and welcoming. Breakfasts were great - obviously very good quality products and generous portions. 2 standard breakfasts with toast, coffee or tea and an extra soft drink all for less than £20 - excellent value. All staff were very pleasant as well. Will be back.

We had Afternoon Tea and it was fantastic. The table was set up lovely. There was a lovely choice of finger sandwiches with salad, crisps and coleslaw. Washed down with tea and a cheeky G&T 😉 Followed by a huge cherry and sultana scone with clotted cream and jam, trifle and selection of buns served on 3 tier cake stand. We had to box up the buns to take home. Lovely staff and great value for money. ❤️

Nice father's day treat. It was very busy so it took longer than normal for food to arrive but it gave us time for a chat and a drink. A full breakfast is a little over a tenner but it comes with a tea or coffee. Our kids like the potato bites but they tend not to offer them when it's busy which is a shame as I prefer them to hash browns, it would also be nice if the breakfast came with a soft drink option as it was quite hot in there so a hot drink wasn't refreshing. Overall, I highly recommend a visit.

Really good pub. Food is served until 5 with a small but very well presented menu. There are always 4-5 specials on as well. They also offer a very reasonable afternoon tea. After 5 it's a drinking venue with sports on the three tvs. Well worth a visit either through the day for lunch or in the evening for the start of your night out. Or as normally happens, your night out.

Went for afternoon Tea would highly recommend it , everything was lovely and fresh and there was loads , we took some home . Also the staff couldn't do enough.

Simply wonderful I must be mellowing in my old age, The child bride took me for breakfast, she had been before with one of her friends and was impressed and so was I. I was a little daunted on the approach sports bars are not my cup of tea but entering it was wonderful to see such vast age range from wrinklies like me to yummy mummy's with there offspring. I had to have the full English and I was not disappointed all fresh no tinned food on sight. The child brides srambled eggs were a beautiful shade of yellow obviously free range and the bread was out of this world. We will certainly be returning as well as recommending this restaurant to all and sundry well done Saville Square and all the very polite attentative staff

The staff were not welcoming. I complained about my wine glass was not clean. All I got back was its only water marked. That is not the point, I expect my glass to be shiny. It just went over the bartenders head. He was not interested. Not even an apology. It was 1st time going here and a last. The food itself no complaints.

I was at Saville Square pub with 3 friends for xmas lunch on the 16th of this month, The food was exceptional, the staff and the service were second to none, i would highly recommend a visit.

We visited today for a pre booked Christmas Dinner with my family. The food was first class and the staff were really friendly and helpful. It was made really special with the table all being dressed up for Xmas. So much more than the usual crackers. In summary great food, friend,t staff and lovely a lovely place to eat or drink.

Great place for breakfast, nice place run by nice people, good choice of food, cooked well and fresh. Car park to rear.

Had a great Afternoon Tea today lots of sandwiches with a variety of fillings then trifle ,scone with jam & clotted cream and lots of hot tea we were stuffed & had to take the lovely cakes home this is the second time I've had afternoon tea here & it didn't disappoint. Delicious!!

Decent bar/restaurant area...my friends enjoyed their food...my ceasar salad not so good....lots of dry chicken with tomato ,carrot,corn in with the lettuce and cheddar cheese grated on top...don't think so thanks. More like a normal chicken salad with a few croutons.

Brought my mum here for her birthday due to a friends recommendation. We weren't disappointed. The staff were nice, and friendly, pleasant and polite. The nice barmaid suggested the Saville Burger (£11.95) when I asked for her advice. My mother opted for the Fish slider (£11.95) from the daily specials. We sat outside, while it was sunny and bright. Food was brought to us, I even asked for no dressing on my salad and it wasn't a problem. The salad was quickly replaced with a plain one. The food was really good, my mother enjoyed it very much. She even went for a slice of cake (£3.95) for dessert (why not, it's her birthday haha). The ladies even put candles on it for her! Total bill for 2 was £30.85. I had water amd my mum had a lime and lemon cordial which must have cost the difference of almost £3? Ok.... To summarise - nice place, friendly staff and really good food. A tiny bit expensive but a good experience overall. My mum wants to return asap haha.

18.20 hrs. Two young people serving. The man was very pleasant. I was next in line at the bar, the man was already serving. The girl looked at me ignored me, chewed her gum and served her friends who just walked in !!!!!! NOT GOOD SERVICE . 😡

Lunch here today which was very tasty. Scampi was good and so was the pulled pork burger. Chips excellent. Friendly staff and good selection of beers including Moretti.

Fantastic friendly pub/restaurant. As soon as we walked in had a lovely welcome. Inside its really smart and relaxing. As we was just meeting up for a chat we just had coffees and breakfasts which were stunningly good. The service was great, with genuine warmth. It's a pity I live in Nottingham as would visit every week. Big thanks to the 2 ladies working there your both stars

Not been in here for years. Came in for coffee with old work mates after our usual meeting place was closed . The staff were friendly and welcoming, served at the table with a smile, place clean and welcoming, meals people were eating looked nice, will certainly come back in and maybe try a meal

Went there for breakfast with my dad as I've been told it's good. I wasn't dissapointed. 9.95 for the full English with a cup of coffee. More than a cafe but less than a lot of the posher farm shop cafes and the place is a nice environment to have food so I didn't mind. The staff were friendly and engaging the food was good quality, hot and had obviously been cooked fresh rather than re heated. The amount was just about right, I went for a quality breakfast not a gut buster and that's what I got. On the whole very happy and I will be going back

nice venue, nice and clean, friendly staff, fine selection of drinks. we visited just after 11am for breakfast and it was quite busy (good to see) and didnt take long for our meals to be served. we had 2 lattes (bean to cup) which was nice and hot and a full english breakfast and scrambled eggs on toast with beans. I dont think the Full English was worth a Tenna and paying that much I would have expected 2 slices of toast and a cup of tea? Anyway overall, a nice venue and definately worth a visit :)

Came here for food 3 days in a row with my friend who was visiting me and we absolutely loved the food every single day! We had breakfast 2 times then opted for the lasagne the 3rd day and omg I love it there! Food portions were amazing and so were the prices! I cannot wait to go back. Service was amazing too!

Visited this lovely pub on 17/5/21 Had a very good breakfast and were looked after by the great ladies waiting on who were very friendly and always smiling. This was first day of reopening but was run very professional, thanks and see ya nxt time.

The food was lovely, however, the social distancing and sanitation precautions are not good. The toilets left a lot to be desired.

We usually treat ourselves to brunch here, the food and and service is always great especially from, Jo, she knows our orders by heart and is great with our kids. Coffee and cake is nice and there's great selection of alcohol options as well.

Nice place but the drinks are not cheap.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, but the lasagne was just soggy melted cheese at one end, and tough and tasteless at the other. A disappointment. Might drink there again, but I'd think twice about eating there again.
