Excellent pub which serves good quality and value food and a great function room & a good kids menu the staff are very friendly & can't do enough to help .

Had a very delicious hot roast dinner today, veg was nice & soft, meat was very tasty. I will definitely well recommend the Sunday dinners. Very friendly staff, & so polite. Thankyou for your hospitality

We went yesterday after swimming, drinks were a bit pricey, 4 soft drinks were around £14, food price about average now. The actual food was nice, 1 had a lasagne, which looked really good, the burgers were nice as well, veggie and meat one

Went for daughters 21st was busy but nice and comfortable there was 12 of us all got seated well all orders came out together lovely fresh food and staff were brilliant well don't to the full house team thank you all

This is the worst carvery I have ever had the veg was like bell metal the gravy was like snot mash had more lumps than 20 camels ya limited to 3 roasties we also asked for 1 to take away there did this without asking what we wanted on has my son doesn't eat any veg and there put everything on and covered it in cauliflower cheese which also he doesn't like and he got half of slice of beef that's it so it went in bin £11.50 how there can charge that is beyond me VOID at all cost absolute sh@T

The food was decent to be honest but there was a nasty damp stale smell in the place. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating and looked after us very well however we couldn’t get passed the really bad smell

Visiting this place you won't be disappointed, at all. Great menu with a popular function room ideal for large or small family gatherings birthdays, weddings, etcetera.

We love this venue, particularly the lovely staff and dedicated function room! Great for parties for all ages! We always enjoy a party here.

There's an average price of £4 per pint in this area and this place has an entry point of £5.35 for basic Heineken. What a complete shame. The place is empty and I wonder why 😳🙄🙄🙄

Nice food from the carvery but a bit stingy on the portions!

Great choice on the menu with a specials board. Not cheap but where is these days. Big carpark and plenty of tables.

Had a steak sizzler plate and a sirloin, was really nice! No complaints, service was lovely and really enjoyed our evening!

Attended a family party here. The staff were "efficient". It wouldn't be fair to comment on whether the bar/S are warm and friendly because I just didn't see them or use their facilities.

Went for a family meal and I have to say the food was beautiful. The servers were so professional. I do think some of the dishes are a touch expensive, but others are extremely good value, so it balances out. Home cooked chips and onion rings amazing. We stayed for the quiz which was a good night although a shame some people were using their phones but the way it works you can still win something. Had a really good night. One issue was the toilets and by end of the evening only one working toilet in ladies but these things happen. Definitely worth a visit.

It was a disappointing visit, the service at the bar you could be waiting 20 minutes to be served I saw people going behind the bar to shout staff for service. The two bottles for £6.50 is a waste of time 3 of the products were out of stock but still on the board. Think I tried every larger on the bar and wasn't the best I think the best was Heineken which normally don't drink Pints always looked a little short took a photo of my pint once placed on the bar. The staff didn't want to be there everything seemed to be an effort I pay with cash and no change in the till. I've been here a few in the past and the food is decent here just unfortunately my last visit so a good one

Lovely pub. Great atmosphere. Plenty of room. Decor is inviting and cosy. Staff are really friendly. Food is really good, bars well stocked with a good selection of beers, lagers and spirits. Great function room, with two levels, making a good dance floor, buffet area as well as loads of room for your guests. Regular entertainment makes this place a go to for a lot in the local area. Looking forward to the new year's day breakfast! Would definitely recommend a visit.

Had carvery very nice only thing that let it down was sprouts and cauliflower. Service great especially young barman Bradley made us feel welcome whilst having a drink in the bar beforehand. Waiting on table staff also lovely and efficient. Pub atmosphere warm and friendly also

I was pretty disappointed and can see why most customers just come here for the large portions rather than quality. From the reviews, I expected a good time, but the service was awful and lacking organisation. They missed us out on asking for starters, and when finishing the main courses, the plates were sat there for a further 30 mins to be cleared. So it was forget the sweets and more drinks!. The pub was clean, the drinks were good and the food was just ok, but unfortunately I will not be rushing back!. Sorry this place is not as good as you use to be!!.

Visited this evening with family to celebrate my Son's birthday. Food was beautiful.! Staff were absolutely amazing they went above and beyond with their service.! Fantastic atmosphere.! Good selection of songs played in the background.! Will definitely be returning.! Would highly recommend..!

Well where do I start. We did not book but there was a table available as not particularly busy with only 4 tables with people waiting for food.Waitress came for drinks order then after came back for food order.. After waiting an hour and a half a waitress came to ask if we had ordered food for then to be told the order hadn't gone through expressing that they didn't know how this had happened...Well I do the waitress blamed the till Well doesn't the ticket that she had wrote on go through the the chef plus we had asked her for another drink which didn't arrive at the table to have to prompt her again..Yes they offered to do the meal but as a family we had got past it..We were offered 20% off the drinks bill and a free drink from the chef also on next visit a 25%discount which we will not visit again due to poor service and waitresses with not a smile on their face..Very disappointed as visited this establishment on numerous occasions. Since last take over things have not been the same..

Place is let down by lack of lounge area. Eat up and leave seems to be their mantra.

Meals are good, no real Atmosphere here anymore, not like the old days with music in the back room on a Friday night

First time having carvery here today all I can say is wow,I had a problem with serving my self because of an operation,but that was no hassel at all for the staff,they served me with all my dinner,thankyou so much,when I got back to my table it didn't disappoint at all yhe meal was lovely and hot and there was absolutely plenty on my plate

This is a super place for food. The food was excellent. First night we has garlic mushrooms and garlic bread with cheese for starters then had Scampi and chips and gammon steak for mains and everything was lovely. The staff were lovely and the whole place was just so clean. Food was served really well presented. So good we went back the next night. No starters this time as not so hungry. My husband had the sirloin and he said it was cooked perfectly, I had the lasanga and it was lovely. Could not fault as again the staff were lovely.

Food was very nice but we did experience a bit of a wait. Hoping it's a one off and we aren't put off visiting again but would have preferred faster service

30th Birthday Party bash, fab place, clean, good service, staff were on it particularly with ID for the younger one's. Buffet was good, DJ spot on with Karaoke. Great pub and seemed busy in general.

Lovely meal - wanted to try the new menu, cannot fault. Partner had steak and was cooked perfect for his taste, southern fried chicken starter he enjoyed. I chose garlic mushrooms for starter and were fab and then a burger of the specials which was delicious.

Went for a private party. Got a bit warm could have done with Airton. Apart from that, it was a good night friendly staff

We ate here last night 12 adults and 4 children and I must say that the food and service was excellent every one of us said that they would definitely eat here again the ladies serving us were very pleasent they took photos of us as it was a special do meeting up with friends that we hadn't seen for ages I would recommend it to everyone.

I visited here with my mum a couple of weeks ago. We are fairly new to the area and have tried The Norman just around the corner, which is your typical chain pub. We really fancied some good quality proper home made food. After looking at reviews I thought I'd give it a go. The first time we visited we had the carvery, which I'll admit was nice. Then we gave it another go as I said a couple of weeks ago. Big Difference. I ordered the sausages and mash. I'm sorry to say but it was gross. I was shocked at the kiddies portion size. It was the size you'd feed a toddler. So I knew I was going to leave still hungry. It was either just under £10 or just over. So I was expecting good quality butchers sausages. I knew straight away as soon as the waitress put the plate down. Richmond's sausages. They have such a distinct smell and taste. If it wasn't Richmond's I'll be surprised. When you bite into them they are just cheap and nasty mush. A tiny dollop of a lumpy mash and a spoonful of peas. It's such a shame because the staff are great. I have wondered why it's usually quiet, the exception being a Sunday. But now I know .

Been tonight for the first time in ages. Food was good but the waiting staff were obviously under too much pressure and stressed. They are wasting way too much shoe leather going backwards and forwards to the kitchen bringing single meals to large tables ( wot?) and were vastly understaffed tonight. That said the glass and pot wash could have perhaps been delayed ( I'm no expert but it's what I saw) Overall nice atmosphere.good pub. Quality beer. Let down by staff working their b---ts off but not properly managed.

Our waitress, Demmi, could literally do no more to help us. She was funny, helpful and very kind. The home made food was delicious. Definitely recommend The Full House. We had a dairy allergy in our party and the team went above and beyond to cater to this. Thankyou

Absolutely beautiful place, we was just driving past, saw it a decided to go for a carvery, so we walked in we didn't have a table booked the staff were very accomadating had us sat at a table within minutes... the carvery was absolutely beautiful, the deserts were stunning too chocolate fudge cake just melted in my mouth

One of the best pubs in Barnsley! All the staff and management are extremely friendly and always make us feel welcome, they are very dog friendly and the food is very good value and very good quality, the Sunday carvery in particular is gorgeou! Overall we couldn't give a higher review and are very lucky to have it on our doorstep

Our first visit to this establishment. Meeting up with friends for Sunday lunch before Christmas. Set menu lunch everyone enjoyed the lunch and the time we had there. Looking forward to our next visit.

Had a big family meal for my daughters 18th birthday and had an absolutely brilliant night. The staff could not do enough for us, they worked really hard all night looking after us .. the food was lovely .. and I have no idea how they did it but the managed to feed 22 of us, hot delicious food all at once. Went for Sunday lunch absolutely superb. Well worth the money and staff were very nice and helpful.

Ordered a beef & then a gammon Sunday lunch from just eat earlier today. The meat was nice and tender (the beef was a bit overdone for me but I guess they have to cook for the masses!) good selection of veg & really nice Yorkshire puddings.

Update - came here Sunday 9/10 (for carvery)was really pleased overall 7/10 only 7 because of lumpy mash. £9.50 good value Booked for today 16/10 a still lumpy mash and now a price increase upto £10.50 and this time got less meat (2 slithers) compared to 1 week ago when you got 3 nice thick slices. So I'm marking this down to 5/10 Extremely Poor food...some sort of bolognaise was passed off has a curry.. no one had to pay. A steak n Ale pie with little filling and a filo pastry lid which went everywhere (needed a shortcrust pastry . And Chips that were like eating lumps of fat.. very greasy. On plus side there carverys are excellent. 8/10

The food here is 100% absolutely lovely, every item is bang on, variety of brilliant choices to choose from, food is brought out in good time and always hot. The owners, staff and chef's are fantastic. The function room is good too for any occasion plus the buffet you get you can't go wrong. If you haven't been here yet you need to go!!! One of the loveliest places I have been to. Staff couldn't do enough to help us, we had they didn't have a table big enough but they made us one up so we could sit inside with the dogs. They even brought them treats out. Food was very nice, portions were excellent, and the price was very reasonable. The place felt very homely, welcoming and relaxed. if we lived closer we would absolutely visit regularly. Thank you for a lovely eveninh

Went the The Full House totally spur of the moment as we were looking for a place to eat that allowed dogs. Rang up last minute to check if dogs were welcome and was told that they were in a particular part of the premises. The staff made up a table for our party of 7 in this area and we’re really welcoming to us all. Food was lovely, they do proper chips which were so good we ordered an extra portion. The dogs were fussed by a lovely lady who gave them treats on arrival and when we were leaving. Shout out to Holly who was absolutely charming and so lovely. Would totally recommend this place and we would return if ever we were in the area.

Wont be eating there again, the chef must av been off sick cos none of the vegetables were cooked. # Rock Hard.

We went on Sat night just decided to have a walk.First we sat outside and had a beer then went in to see if we could get any food the staff found us a table so we ordered not a long wait about 10-15 minutes and the food was brilliant we had Vegetable lasagne and Whitby Scampi fantastic value. At 9 pm a Lady Ga Ga tribute came on and she was brilliant All in all a brilliant unexpected night out with great beer food and entertainment all the staff were very helpful and polite

Not the best Sunday Lunch. The beef had been sliced prior to being brought out to theo carvery station. It was served by the assistant with her hands all be it wearing a plastic glove,why not use tongs?. The fammon we chose not to bother with seeing that had also been pre sliced and put back in the roasting dish with the water it had obviously been cooked in. Yorkshire puddings, green beans, sprouts were all obviously frozen produce. The sprouts were actually thawing out with the heat from the hot serving station so were quite watery. The veg was tasteless. The only tasty veg were potato's and the cauliflower cheese . The whole point point of Sunday carvery is that the means are carved in front of you and fresh tasty veg. The staff were all pleasant they are the saving grace at the Full House. Only given 2 stars for the food and 1 for the staff. Very much doubt we will return
