OK Bit food and coffee pricey compared to rest of cafes in the area otherwise I'd go more often

Said it was open from 07.30 but was closed

OK sandwich no better than anywere else tbf, way way over priced

The most perfect afternoon tea with tasty sandwiches, pastries and desserts. Mel is lovely and provides a fantastic service! Would highly recommend to anyone interested, impeccable value for money.

Found this great cafe on google maps while staying at the Travel lodge just 8 mins away,Fabulous breakfast at a very reasonable price a lovely cup of coffee to....Lady owner was friendly and welcoming Will recommend and I would eat there again 5 ☆

Bacon mushroom sandwich Mushrooms not cooked definitely tinned not fresh asked for well done bacon was told if it was cooked anymore it would be crucified took her word for it was barely cooked One bight straight in the bin

Best sausage and egg sandwich going.. decent prices decent portions… just… sometimes the egg gets burnt say 20% of the time… probably because they are busy cooking something else and forget.. but a black crusty bottom to my egg some times is so annoying becuase it’s so good when it’s done right. I’d leave 5* otherwise and I’m only saying this In the hope you take it as constructive criticism so I can avoid so many burnt eggs 🤞won’t stop me coming I just have to decide if I’m feeling lucky as to wether I get an egg on it or not 😬 no disrespect as you cook perfect eggs when they are done properly

Sign on the door saying cash only but no cash machine nearby , checked on Facebook before going and wasnt mentioned. Disappointed to say the least

We wanted a late breakfast knowing that the Hot N Tasty opened on Sunday we called in to see if they had a table free. Fortunately a table was available. Due to the current climate we had to wait a few moments for the table to be cleaned and sanitised, our contact details were taken and we were taken to our table and ordered our food. The cafe was very busy with take out's but the staff were excellent and our food arrived as listed, "Hot N Tasty". All COVID-19 requirements are adhered to. I would recommend The Hot N Tasty to anyone.

Still making great bacon butties, it’s take away at the moment. They are doing their very best, our walking group will always remember their efforts.

I am currently sat in Hot N Tasty just had a breakfast and a cappuccino it was absolutely gorgeous deffinatly recommend food was all spot on and cappuccino was aswell will deffinatly call again if im in Barnsley

The staff were rude and seemed like they didn't want to be there. They didn't have some of the breakfast items in and the beans were cold.

Our walking group called again this morning for the usual bacon butty's etc and tea and coffees. Hot and Tasty never alters, still the same high quality.

It was ok, exactly the type of grub you expect and want from this type of cafe. They served me your standard greasy spoon cafe full English breakfast. I definitely enjoyed it but it was cooked using the cheapest poorest quality ingredients. Same goes for the coffee, it was alright but cheap coffee used. It was reasonable prices I guess but maybe a little overpriced compared to some similar places I've been The lasses that worked there were lovely, very friendly and helpful. Very speedy service too, almost made instantly.

Small cafe at Cundy Cross, near to the main Pontefract - Barnsley Road. Take aways are no problem. Fair sized dining area. Table service if required. Short waiting time for food. Very clean throughout, friendly staff & food prepared just the way you asked for it. Best of all.... very reasonable prices!! Give it a trial.

Not what I expected. So Good that often doesn't exist in a 'Cafe' scenario usually. Good selection of combinations to suit all palettes. The popularity speaks for itself.

Amazing bacon and sausage sandwich, thick cut bacon, good sausages, not tesco value, and well priced too. Perfect hangover cure.

I have just had a large spam egg & cheese sandwich. the wife had sausage egg & cheese to take away . But you can eat in if you wish to do so and I would like to add the cafe looks spotless . Great big breakfast. Very filling. Staff friendly. Good value and quality for money. Also says they do a delivery service. Would be ideal for a work lunch.
