Love this place...nice food nice staff nice atmosphere, I have to say I preferred it the old style b4 the refurb, but it's still great value and gorgeous food.

I had high hopes, loved it when it was 8oz and came regularly, attended today and it’s changed so much and not for the better, none of the food was hot, luke warm at the best, the mac & cheese was just boiled pasta with chefs larder cheese sauce on it, my girl didn’t even eat it, I had ribs and for the price, I wasn’t impressed at all, drinks at £1.90 for a can of Coke? not impressed, the burger with chicken my friend had was severely over cooked.. I did have high hopes but sadly, they’ve taken their eye off the ball, either that or not bothered about the business, it’s sad to see, because it used to be one of the best places Barnsley had to offer.. the service you cannot fault, that’s the good thing I would say, but if it wants to keep making money I think some effort needs to be put in, I for one won’t be going again, it’s an expensive waste of money for what you get and the lack of effort put into the food...

Interesting small restaurant down the arcade in Barnsley. We had the sharing platter which was exceptional value for money but a little too much for us two! The service was friendly and attentive, and, as I have a wheat allergy I had rung ahead and they provided gluten free bread and were very knowledgable and helpful regarding my dietary needs.Food was delicious - I would particularly recommend the brisket. I liked the way we were asked if we wanted the leftovers boxing up to take away. We will definitely be returning!!

We went to 8oz Burger trading as backyard BBQ. The staff were lovely and friendly. The food was nice. We ordered from the lunchtime menu which was cheaper than the main menu so it was a good price. The lunch time menu has less choice than the main menu and is available until 5pm. They provide high chairs for babies. They didn’t have a specific children’s menu but said children could order from the main menu and it would be a smaller portion for half price. We were happy with our visit and would go again.

A short distance from our final destination for the evening, we called here on pot luck hoping it would be satisfactory.What a surprise this turned out to be. Excellent food, reasonable prices, great choice and service and guidance from the waitress led us to a great experience.She expertly steered a member of our party toward the homemade meatloaf, I honestly believe I could never tire of choosing this on future visits. Burgers cooked perfectly and served with a great selection of sauces, make sure that you get help from the waiting staff and don’t dive into the really hot sauce.Waitress is shortly to take period of leave and we hope her replacement is as amiable and capable as she.

.......to find this little gem a stone's throw from the Civic where we were going later. Great food, good beer and excellent service on a miserable Friday evening. And how nice to be able to eat at a small local business instead of a chain.

REYT. So, after many visits as before the lil revamp, I was quite looking forward to seeing what had changed. Not a great deal inside so I'm not sure the massive deal that was made about the revamp was worth it. I can live with that though.Menu wise, I can get over the fact that there are now less burgers as the pit plates seem to be a good addition, but that's whatever.Both burgers we ordered (Blues and Macho Nacho) were ridiculously dry and lacking in flavour.This is a massive shame as we both rated 8oz previously but feel massively let down now.On top of this, the new sinks are novel but ridiculous and we both ended up covered in water.I hope this was a one off and next time the food is sound otherwise I'lll boot off.

We were visiting Barnsley for a midweek football match. We really enjoyed our food - good quality burgers and nice chips. Good range of beers. Good value - burgers around £8-12 with chips. Also offer a 25% discount on food if you show them your match ticket.

No beers this time really. Good burgers once again. Took my daughter here for the first time. She had the waffle burger, bit sweet for me but then it wasn't me eating it. Will return again for sure , but with beers next time.

My partner has eaten here quite a bit since living local so he decided to take me here as a treat. When we entered there was only us in which was quite nice and the hostess checked on us a lot and filled our drinks up regularly. Even though the food wasn’t all that bad and my partner enjoyed his humongous burger and I really liked the chicken in mine just not the beef, I just felt like the price we paid wasn’t worth it and I left a bit dissatisfied at what we had paid. But overall it made a nice change to try something new.

food great cant complain but when u have to sit in a restaurant with your coat on because its cold something wrong there maybe should invest in some heating

The meat in the burgers tastes great! Cooked really well too. I had one with Belgian waffles, bacon, cheese and onion rings. Loved it! My grandson had an enormous one that included pulled pork and ate all of it. There was also a blue cheese and bacon one that went down really well.

Burgers were cooked to perfection and a great venue. Would highly recommend! We will defiantly be back.

Me amd my partner went here for a meal. The burgers was nice however they came out looking pink. Not impressed on that note. While waiting about half hour for our food, me and my partner noticed the chef was eating food while doing his job and dependong on what he was eating could of caused contamination and made ua both ill. Not much variety of drinks adult or childs. Not what i expected to be honest.

Had one of the worst experiences of my life thanks to their hot sauce! Awesome atmosphere, great staff, as much as I hate them right now I will definitely go back for some more torture!

I came here a few weeks ago with a couple of friends and we'll definitely be back! The wait for the food was a little long, however was completely worth it. The food was of great quality, tasted amazing and reasonably priced, would 100% recommend!

My friends love this place but as a vegetarian, I've usually avoided it, as it's so meat heavy. However, we all went for my friends birthday and I was excited about the onion bhaji burger, as i can't bloody stand generic bean burgers. Sadly it was quite burnt when it arrived and my seasoned chips were so salty I was scraping it off. I was tempted to send it back, but it there was a group of us, so I know they;d have been pushed to get all our food out at the same time, and I didn't want to cause a fuss. I'd give it another go, but won't be in a rush.Aside from my food, the cocktails were good, and the 'proper' burger did look amazing. I was actually a bit jealous of them! Oh and the waitress was lovely too.

Got a delivery from here the burger was bright pink inside, I know that the burgers can usually have a pinky colour but this was raw meat not cooked at all. I will never have a delivery from here again and I won't visit the restaurant again either I used to like going to 8oz burger bar but I wouldn't waste my money here again.

We don't often eat burgers but fancied something really different so called in one Saturday tea time. We were spoilt for choice as the menu was very extensive but we opted for the cattle burger and we were not disappointed. Burger topped with slow cooked pulled beef, delicious. I opted for sweet potato fries which were lovely although a two pound surcharge. Not the cheapest of eats but we really enjoyed it and will be paying another visit.

Simply one of the best places I have ever eaten, outstanding food outstanding friendly staff, I will be back many times.

Jedzenie bardzo smaczne, miła i przyjazna obsługa oraz ceny niewygórowane. Z biegiem czasu lokal jest coraz brudniejszy... Byliśmy z przyjaciółmi w niedzielę, w lokalu była tylko jedna para, a więc obsługa powinna mieć trochę wolnego czasu, żeby powycierać rozlane sosy z podłogi i porządnie umyć sztućce i szklanki. Właściciel powinien zmienić wykładzinę na wejściu. Poziom czystości łatwy do nadrobienia- jak się polepszy to zmienię notę na maksymalną.

Birthday meal; Sunday evening. Lots of choice on menu so good for groups of people with differing tastes. All six in party chose different meals and all really enjoyed them. Big portions so only had one course. Waitress was busy as only one serving but very friendly and organised a birthday pudding with candle without being prompted.Liked the music too Cream of Eric Clapton!

My boyfriend and I have been eating here regularly for two years and love it. I never left a review in the early days, but it goes without saying - if we didn't like it back then why do we still come back??For one, the staff - always welcoming, friendly and chatty with everyone.There's always a great inspired special burger on the blackboard to choose if we can't think of what to have from the 30 choices on the main menu.The burgers are well seasoned, fresh, low fat, tasty!There's been a long standing promotion where you can get a kids meal (small burger and chips) for free (12-7pm) with an adult paying meal which makes the meal out a bargain when we take his daughter too.While we've often been able to walk in and be served, booking is advised just to avoid disappointment! In all the times we've called only once have they been too full to book us in (which is awesome, as it's my favourite local small business I'm just happy cos it means they're not going anywhere!).We recommend to everyone, often introduce friends to it, or if we're making dinner plans the first choice is always, "Fancy an 8 Oz?"

The best restaurant of it's type in South Yorkshire! This independent place deserves to do really well! The decor is friendly and modern, the staff are all nice and the burgers are amazing, especially for the price. It's new unique specially keep people coming. The burgers and fries themselves are of great quality with some really interesting combinations. I live in London now and this is still one of the best burgers around. I hope it thrives.

If you're a burger person, then give this place a go - with 30 different burgers on the menu there's something for everyone.The burgers didn't let us down, they were cooked very well and were a good size! The interior is different to most restaurants too, which I personally liked.I was lucky enough to be given a free mojito as well for my birthday which was a nice addition! Just had my daughters 13th Birthday meal here for 20 people and everyone really enjoyed the meal , cant fault anything , well done to the staff , definitely recommend it !

Came here with 6 friend for a lads night out , great service , really funny staff , the food is great and we're all ready planning our next visit however I wouldn't recommend the local lidl we're we got treated very poorly and was threatened by a member of staff the *#%@&^ #merky

Me and a friend visited last week. We had the Cheesy Nachos as a starter. Was surprised as it came with peppers, jalapeños, guacamole and mayo however there is no description on the menu. They tasted more like slightly salted Doritos and unfortunately I found a small black hair in it. Put me off a bit. For mains we had 'Build your own burgers', so I had a Southern Friend Chicken Burger. Really enjoyed it and there was plenty of fries. Ice cream milkshakes were absolutely amazing and prices were reasonable. However the restaurant was extremely cold, we had to wear our coats the entire time, and we had to wait 20 minutes to have our order taken as waitress was busy chatting to the chef.

We were a family party of 6 and had no problem finding a table. The menu is amazing and well thought out we were spoilt for choice. My great niece doesn't like burgers but the staff were happy to serve her a bacon sandwich. All the burgers are freshly made each day and the meat was top quality and well seasoned. My husband enjoyed the Canadian Mountie burger and I had a classic burger with bacon and cheese. I am sometimes reluctant to order large burgers as they can be dry and solid but this was in a different league soft, yielding and mouthwatering without being greasy. My niece demolished the waffle burger which looked amazing. I was happy to see my favourite Brewdog Punk IPA on the menu as well as Brooklyn Lager. I finished all my food and felt the portion was a great size leaving me satisfied but not overfaced. There are bigger items on the menu for more hearty appetites. I also noted some very interesting vegetarian choices and would love to try the Onion Baji burger on my next visit. I had no room for dessert but my great niece demolished the salted caramel brownie and pronounced it delicious. I can thoroughly recommend this restaurant for a convivial lunch with adults and children.

My favourite burger place in South Yorkshire by far, both classic and different types and always tastes amazing! Staff are also very friendly and smiley and the resteraunt always looks clean and a lovely atmosphere. Cant recommend enough!

This is the 4th time we have eaten here and it never disappoints. Wife had the Xmas burger while I went for the Volcano. Both excellently cooked and tasty cannot wait for a 5th time.

The food at 8oz has always been fantastic, the meat is clearly of a high quality, is all the times I've been I've never had a bad burger! The range of burgers available make it easy for everyone to have something they like, sweat, spicy, loaded! Serve times used to be quite long at dinner times but recent visits (even when busy) seem to have speeded up with no loss to quality. A credit to the high quality restaurants in Barnsley.

Love this place! Love the burgers, tried a few now inc the cubano and the waffle burger and never been disappointed! The fries are super tasty too, love the seasoning they put on them. The pickled pickles are the best side ever and we have them every time we come. The staff are really friendly, we came on the 20th and the woman that was serving us was really good, very helpful and engaging. Its great to have somewhere like this in barnsley to keep going back to.

Came here with friends for my Birthday and had a wonderful experience. I have visited previously and always had a good experience but had not been for a while. I was pleased to see the quality was as good as ever.The wine list is small but sufficient and a very reasonable price (£10 a bottle). There are plenty of choices of burgers (30 in total) and they even have Gluten Free buns available. Staff were lovely and polite and handled our big group well (there were 9 of us each ordering different burgers and a couple wanting slight changes making). They managed to get both the orders and bill correct first time (which I find quite rare when dining out in big groups). The burgers were fantastic quality. Succulent and juicy with a slight hint of pink and plenty of topping. Great buns too!! The dirty mayo is delicious as well.Overall a great experience with brilliant staff and amazing burgers. They might not be the cheapest burgers (averaging £10-12), but the quality is fantastic and makes them worth every penny.My one and only qualm is charging £2 to upgrade to sweet potato fries is ridiculous when you have to forgo your standard fries. £1-1.20 would be a much more reasonable price to upsell them at.

Wow - I have been here three times now and each time the food has impressed me! I have tried a few of the burgers, Skinny Lizzy, Elvis Burger and Waffle burger! All of these were amazing. Customer service is top class - friendly service offered. One down point is that the restaurant only has one high chair which was a little frustrating as we had gone in with our 16 month old little boy who had to sit in his pushchair for the meal. This was due to another child using the only highchair they had! Other than this absolutely fantastic! Would highly recommend.

Spoilt for choice but made our order to what we wanted. Meat melted in my mouth. Not a massive fan of burgers but this place was to die for. Will without a doubt go again. 5 stars and more if I could.

well first and most important is a review of the food. It was excellent. We all had a variety of burgers ( 6 of us). I had the classic (burger, cheese and bacon) as I could not have managed to eat any of the others as you do get a plate full. All the meals come with fries unless you order the skinny lizzy which is chicken breast a burger and roasted peppers and comes with sweet potato fries, which also looked very nice. You can order pitchers of lager for £7.00 (roughly 2 pints in it) which is cheaper than buying the bottles. The only downside for us was that we felt like we were being rushed out. We booked the table for 7.30 on a Saturday night, but by 9.15ish, may be earlier they asked us if we wanted the bill. We had finished our meal by then and were sat finishing our drinks. Not sure what tiime it closes on a Saturday night but I thought it would be around 11 - 11.30pm Would definitely go again.

Went here after going to the cinema, and even though the entire street arcade was deserted, it was still a very nice place, lots of menu choices and varied options, sides and deserts. I had a chicken burger and received two chicken breasts, wow. Good prices, nice ambiance. Found a little gem.

In this place I've tried one of the best burgers in Sheffield, the range options is quite large, so you'll definitely find a combination that is suitable to your taste.The service it's a little slow, but nothing to worry about.The sauces they serve are amazing specially the smoky mayo.

This was our first visit to the 8oz burger company... And will deff not be our last. The burgers are the best perfectly seasoned, and the atmosphere is complemented by great meet and greet people, who make you feel at home. Deff worth a visit if your in the area. You wont be disapointed .

We went last night for a birthday celebration. Food was beautiful. Although not very busy when we got there we had to wait quite a while for our food order to be taken. Will go again probably not on a Saturday night though

We have now returned several times to this restaurant as it has truly become one of our favourites! There is a HUGE range of burgers on offer so deffo something to suit everyone - would be perfect for big parties. Portions are also generous, including a great range of sides. The service has always been exceptional at both the Barnsley and Sheffield branch and the atmosphere is great, with a real rustic feel. Couldn't recommend this place enough!

Came to 8oz burger as we have never been and wanted to try it out. The place was empty but I guess that was because it was Tuesday night. Great service, waitress was very attentive. It took me 10 mins to choose my burger as the menu was huge! Amazing selection! I had the volcano burger and my boyfriend had the mucho nacho. Food service was really quick, and everything was cooked fresh. Food was really really nice. Juicy burger and great portion sizes. Very reasonably priced too. Would definitely come back again!

This was my second time eating at 8oz Burger. We decided to return having being very impressed the first time we ate here. Three of us ordered off the menu on a Saturday night, on this occasion the restaurant was very busy compared to my previous visit. Our food was not delayed despite the number of people dining, however during the meal evidence of corner cutting in order to keep the orders flowing from the kitchen to the dining room were apparent. Both my friends burgers were undercooked to a large extent, almost like they had been rushed to keep up with demand. The centre's were very pink and this was not appetising. Fortunately they aren't fussy and continued to eat the burgers they ordered. I feel as though this should be highlighted considering the recent uproar over undercooked burgers at restaurants in the media and the health risks they hold. Personally, I would rather wait longer for my meal then have it arrive undercooked. In addition, one of my friends found a short hair within the beef patty itself. I appreciate that if the burgers are freshly minced on site or elsewhere this can potentially happen and although it poses no risk it is disgusting to find. We made no complaint as we understand things like this happening especially when the chef cooks things fresh and from scratch. For the most part my meal was fine; with the exception of the completely saturated waffle the burger was sat upon. It came to a point where the burger could not be picked up without it falling apart and making a mess. Nevertheless, the burger, as a whole, was certainly tasty with a good balance of sweet, salty and tangy flavours. I chose the "properly seasoned" fries and they were crisp and fluffy and tasted great too.The décor is rustic and different and there is a very relaxed feel in the restaurant. Staff are polite however they weren't very attentive to our table and we had to try and get their attention which did not work.

Had lunch last Saturday with 3 friends one of whom brought their 5 year old son. Massive menu of burgers all cooked fresh plus specials on the blackboards. The food was lovely, very impressed with the drunken burger and sweet potato chips, quite pricey but worth it. I can imagine you would probably have to book for the evening as it's quite a small restaurant. The only thing I would say is just to be careful on the stairs to the toilets as they are quite steep, also the door in the actual toilet is really heavy!! Great place though.

Visited 8oz burger co in sheffield for the first time today with my boyfriend and I can honestly say the layout of the venue, prices and quality of food are all significantly better than handmade burger co and other places of that nature. All staff we encountered were extremely friendly and attentive without being too overpowering. Brilliant service and brilliant food will 100% be back!

My son chose this location for his 14th birthday family meal. We had booked fortunately as although early evening it was busy. Apparently there is discount available for supporters with a football ticket, so as we went on a match night there were lots in taking advantage of the offer. It meant that although we got seated straight away there was a wait to be served. The food made it worth the wait though. With 30 burgers to choose from there was definitely something for everyone. The birthday boy went for a challenge and ordered the kitchen sink, which was basically a mixed grill of meats between a burger bun. It was like a man v food challenge! Maybe the restaurant could advertise it as such and give a prize to successful finishers!! Only my daughter had room for dessert as the portions are plentiful. She raved about the salted caramel brownie.We would definitely recommend this place and will be returning again.

We unexpectedly found ourselves in Barnsley at lunchtime feeling hungry. Having seen the special offer (£5 offer) we decided to pay a visit. We ordered 2 burgers with a side order and snickers milkshake. Food came and it was very tasty, hubby did need to have his burger cooked a but more as it was a bit too pink for his liking, but this was done without any fuss. Milkshake were lush. Young lady manager was friendly, it was clean and tidy and toilet was spotless. What more could you ask for.

this is a very good burger place good food good service and not too bad on the prices. they have some very interesting burgers on the menu so give it a go.

Hoped to visit for a long time and when the day cam found there are two vegetarian choices, chick pea burger and an onion bhaji! My disappointment must have been obvious as the others with me offered to go elsewhere, but I said, no, it's fine since I'm a fan of chickpeas, though the price was rather high. I expected the service and presentation would account for the cost. I wasn't impressed with the 'quirky' pallet tables since there's not enough room to sit under them with your legs square as it lifts the table!The 'meal' arrived on the very hackneyed metal tray with paper liner which will disintegrate once you try to cut anything on it. That alas was the start of the disappointment. The 'free chips' were the thin fries they have at MacDonalds, not nice, but probably there to make you regret not paying £2 extra for sweet potato chips. As for the burger, the tomatoes were good, the egg ok, but the burger....really awful. It did have chick peas in but it had a really weird texture, as though it had been ground down to a fine paste, then deep fried. The result was no chickpea taste, but an awful texture and a taste purely of grease. of the £10 burger £7 was left on the plate ( some was left on the partner's plate as I wanted a second opinion...and they were as impressed). Sadly even a glutton like me couldn't cope with the low standard and awful taste.Alas it was the same with the other food. I did have to ask my son what was on his plate. 'er...chicken...it's dry'. It certainly looked it.On the whole a very disappointing evening at great expense.

I recently went to 8oz for the first time, on a date. Perhaps a terrible choice for a date as I ended up with half of the burger on my tshirt and the other half smothered across my face (this was by no means the fault of the restaurant.) I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, it was really tasty and great portions for the price you pay, more over I learned after my visit that you can ask for your burger to be served 'naked' - this means you can get it without the bun, definitely worth doing if you're not great at large portions as they are not shy with how much they pack into your plate. My only downside for the place was that the first time we ordered our order was wrong and they served the completely wrong dish, this wouldn't usually have been a bother to me, but at that point we were literally the only people in the place. They did replace the meal and gave us a free side, which was a lovely gesture, but it left me skeptical of what their service may be like if they had been busier.

my review is a little late, but non the less something i wanted to bring to everyone's attention. Me and my wife visited here Christmas 2015, my wife booked us a table to surprise me as we don't always get out to enjoy ourselves that much. So typical couple, free night from the daughter, no responsibilities. Well the night started well, we got to the restaurant and were seated near the cooking area to the back of the restaurant. The server was a young boy who was quite enthusiastic. However after asking him about the menu, we ordered 2 burgers. One of them was a pulled pork option and we specifically asked if this came with a burger as well. The boy's reply was YES! However when the burger came - No Beefburger was present. My wife looked under all of the pulled pork and there was nothing there. We started to question the boy about this issue but he said he would speak to another member of staff. We then had the pleasure of a young girl who confirmed that the choice we made - Didn't come with a beefburger. At this point we made a complaint that the boy had advised us wrong and would they put a beefburger onto the order free of charge due to the mistake that was made. At this point i was really surprised that they wouldn't offer us anything due to their mistake. We finished our drinks and left our food. I paid in full for the food which i should have contested. 1 little mistake that i can't believe they wasn't going to help rectify. I will not be returning to this restaurant, and also will not be recommending to anyone either!

This is the third time we have visited the 8oz burger company and I have not been disappointed once. The staff are very upbeat and friendly, the furnishings are unique and the music is very good. Each time I've been I have had a different burger and they have all been amazing, the properly seasoned fries are a must! I will definitely return and would urge others to give it a try.

Very good burgers! huge selection of burgers and sides. good selection of drinks. Nice atmosphere and attentive and friendly staff. we enjoyed it a lot.

Dans une ville où l'offre en nourriture ne se distingue pas forcément par sa variété, cette enseigne constitue une bonne alternative aux quelques autres restaurants de la place. Les burgers en imposent par leurs tailles, mais impressionnent surtout par la qualité des produits. Les buns sont dorés et goûteux, les steaks sont d'une belle épaisseur et juteux, alors que les autres ingrédients (en particulier, le bacon) en mettent plein les papilles. Les tarifs des plats sont peut-être plus élevés que pour le fish&chips du coin, mais se justifient amplement.

We tend to frequent 8oz once a month, it makes it that bit more special & every time we go we always say we will try something different and never do. I always have the Pig Out burger as its just something else, with the sweet potato fries & a load of dirty mayo over it and bosh, sorted! Our lass always has the Full English, it really is what you think it is! They have a good selection of drink, especially for those who like something a bit different whether it be Brooklyn Brewery or Brew Dog. We tend to end up in there mid week when its a bit quieter, always good music on in the background a well. For the money you really cant complain! I havent a bad word bout the place, certainly what Barnsley needed!

Wow! Love this place! So many different options, decent prices and my young kids shared a children's meal they're so big! You can get just about any version of a burger you want here. The staff are friendly and attentive. Really impressed and will be back soon

Barnsley isn't overwhelmed with decent places to eat but this is a welcome addition. Great decor first of all. Extensive options of every conceivable burger you can imagine. Excellent friendly service. And top notch burgers and sides. Thanks for an enjoyable evening and the 'kids eat free' deal was also much appreciated.

Good, wide ranging menu with lots of options and service was good. The burger was a nice size and the bun very fresh. The burger itself was not the best I've ever had but it was very good (I had the "bacon blues" burger). The cheese itself could have been a little more melted but it was fine. My only real criticism was that the chips were skinny rather than chunky. My main judge of any eatery is "would I go back" and the answer yes.

Located on the Victorian Arcade in Barnsley the 8oz burger company is hidden away but well worth finding! I visited with my girlfriend back in September and the food was amazing! Very tasty burgers, funky interior design and cool atmosphere. Would recommend. 9/10 rating from me!

Me and my boyfriend are definately 8oz regulars! The nachos are amazing and I would highly recommend the bacon blues burger, The chips are to die for and the milkshakes are lovely! I think the way they present the food is an accurate representation of the theme they are going for! Very reasonably priced and fab staff, We love you 8oz!!!!

This is a small restaurant and, (as a non-Barnsley native), in attractive part of the town I had not seen before. We went there on recommendations from this site and booked ahead though it turned out not to be necessary as is was quite quiet on that day, (perhaps necessary at other times). What I did really like was, when I phoned to book, though the phone wasn't answered, someone phoned me back within ten minutesWe were greeted by a very warm pleasant and efficient young woman who appeared to be the only waitress there but we did not have a long wait for our orders to be taken. The decor was interesting and imaginative, though it was mostly American themed, the menu listings were to suit all tastes and had made some concessions to local translations .The lunch deals are great and the food was very well cooked, tasty and plentiful, there is an extensive amount of things you can top your lunchtime burger with - The burgers being Chicken, Beef or veggie.The whole place seemed very clean.The negative points lie entirely with the management or franchise requirements as I am sure the staff have no input into the issues we had.Firstly, the food was served in small, light, plastic baskets, (though lined with napkins), it made for quite awkward eating as you have to hold the baskets when you eat to stop them toppling over, secondly, the baskets were small so the burger sat on top of the fries making them a bit squashed and difficult to eat at the same time as the burger, though the desert (very nice), was actually served on a real plate.Neither hand dryer was working in the womens or mens toilet and the flooring was showing wear with a few cracked tiles.I would be happy to eat there again but would like to bring my own plate next time.

Made a new years eve booking after reading the good reviews,we really enjoyed our burgers,well cooked and presented,good value wine, The onion rings were spot on as was the sauces.Yep we will be returning.

Saw some pictures on Facebook so thought it would be time to try them out.We weren't disappointed! Will definitely visit again once the old January detox is out of the way!

Stopped by this small restaurant after being recommended to me. I got a burger off the lunch menu but was disappointed by the lack of chips and the soggy bread bun. The burger tasted ok but nothing special. I probably wouldn't go again. Small portion for the money.

Visited on a night out with friends and the burgers are amazing!!! Loads of choice and hundreds of combinations

Came here for the first time on a works outing, there was another large table of diners seated also, another works party ?. Hence the food took a while to be served for our party, but when it did arrive it was excellent. Had the Cattledriver burger which came with pulled brisket and mozzarella, really good, frozen chips were a little disappointing but the burger more than made up.Everyone else made positive comments about the food and surroundings also.Bottled beer is also offered around £3.50 a shot.Will definitely return.

This place does a deal for £5 at lunch that is hard to beat given the quality of burgers on offer. The milkshake I had for £3 was disappointing and so were the frozen chips that come with your burger....but all is forgiven once you sink your teeth into any of their burgers. You can taste the quality of the meat and the bun immediately and then you realise where this places' qualities lie. It will leave you craving for me and I am looking forward to returning to try more of the menu....compare their prices to Five Guys and you realise the value. If the owner really wants to up his game he should work on improving the quality of the chips provided, but it seems at the moment all the love is put into the burgers, which I can understand.

Not being a regular visitor to Barnsley I did not know this place existed until today. Went in at lunchtime where they have a £5.00 deal for a large burger and fries. I added crispy bacon and cheese so it was £7.50.Where asked for two pots of tea and when they came they were tepid so I sent mine back and asked for a Coke instead. I saw this being poured from the dregs of a 2 litre bottle and when it came most of the fizz was missing.When the burgers arrived I could not believe how tasty and well cooked it was. Just the right amount of pinkness left in the meat to stop it being dry and the cheese and bacon just added to the flavours. It arrived with a choice of 4 sauces in squeezy bottles.Ketchup, barbecue, flavoured Mayo and hot and spicy. Tried them all and they were good.The young man serving us was pleasant and friendly and he told us they are opening one in Sheffield next year so I will await that as it is a lot nearer to home. Will definitely eat here again should I be in a burger mood.The unsatisfactory drinks were removed from the bill without us having to ask so they do care and I can't let this little drinks cock up stop me giving it a well deserved 5 blobs.

I took mi wench here and our two children, 2years and 8month old Straight away the bloke serving was on the ball, offering high chairs and space best suited to us with our pram, very friendly and couldn't do enough for us made us feel more than welcome and that our custom is appreciated.The food was bang on, think I had the cattle burger? It's was a top quality proper meaty burger with brisket, the wench, plain Jane as usual had the classic burger, both were world class and there was enough to share with the two year old, we finished with a chocolate browny sundae, very nice It was all round spot on from start to finish from friendly appreciative service to top quality snap We'll be back for definite and will highly recommend to any burger fans

My wife and I were passing the restaurant, and thought it looked busy so we called in.We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and service. We did make one mistake and that was to order too much food. The waitress did mention that we probably had ordered enough after we got to two sides, but we knew better - how wrong we were........We will certainly revisit, but will make sure we don't have much lunch before we visit for dinner.

Came here for the 1st time absolutely nice only thing portion was too big so next time will a kid meal will be coming again would recommend people coming here

They have a choice of around 30 burgers, some not for the feint hearted. Good atmosphere, good service and quality food. A must visit.

The Mrs suggested trying this place as we were in the area and we had the little one who was hungry. So we tried it. Absolutely amazing warm welcome! The menu is sublime! So much choice your really spoilt! The food was just beautiful. From the burger which was fantastic, seasoned chips (epic), the onion rings and pickles! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone and we will be going back again!

I came here with my partner for his birthday as we'd heard good things about it and my partner loves his meat and burgers.On a whole we really enjoyed our meal, we were spoiled for choice, the staff were lovely and explained the menu to us. The only negative was that I felt very cramped, I felt as thought I was eating with the party next to us as the restaurant is so small. Also my cocktail was a little disappointing, not worth the money.On a whole it is a lovely quirky restaurant serving nice food, just what Barnsley needs.

The strap line says it all. Burgers, Beer, Bliss.I love this place.The menu has a great variety (assuming you like burgers) and also more then one option for the non meat eaters. Not had a bad option off the menu yet and cocktails and milkshakes are brilliant. The only thing I think they could do to improve it would be make the coke / other soft drinks bottomless like a lot of similar establishments do.
