Incredible pleased with my visit to the restaurant, the staff are absolutely fantastic with people making the dinner experience even more special! I cannot recommend it enough as it’s a fair price for a high quality food experience. Service is absolutely amazing with very friendly people around you all the time well done to the Favela’s team!

Best service ever. Sergio was the best waiter and it was my mums birthday. The chef and staff came to sing happy birthday to her! We gave Sergio 10£ and he even shared it with his colleagues!

Always amazing, best Brazilian grill in Barnsley, we're regulars and it's always worth the price, foods always delicious and the staff are always helpful and friendly.

Wanted well done meat. Everything was rare with blood in. Asked again for well done and was completely ignored. Never came back to our table. Rude staff. Was charged for the vegetarian option which we didn't have either. Only a small amount of salad. Almost £50!! Would never go again or recommend!

I rarely feel comfortable taking my daughter anywhere alone she is SEN and the looks we get make her worse. Not only do the staff here go out of their way to help both me and my daughter, they also cater to genuine allergies. This means that my mum can join us and this helps my daughter feel more relaxed. Their disabled toilet being actually restricted to those who are disabled helps me to avoid accidents too, overall I think the staff are amazing and those with disabilities (SEN or physical) can feel comfortable here and those with potentially fatal allergies like my mum can safely eat here without risk

I went to favela yesterday 16.3.2024 and customer service was awful, as soon as I got on the table even tho I didn’t had no food in my plate one of the kitchen guys that serves meat tried to offer me some and I said I wasn’t ready yet the guy got upset because I told him that’s and never came with meat to my table again , bear in mind I’m a regular customer spent over 500 pounds doing my nice birthday there and always taking big groups for lunch and dinner , what got me was that I got there at 15.50 and evening meals start at 16.00 so I asked one of the employees to serve me picanha with garlic and they told me I couldn’t have it because they put me on lunch section because I got there at 15.15 when it was a lie I got there for evening meal and then they had to call the owner to ask if they could switch witch they said I couldn’t , after all that I just couldn’t stay there any more second awful kitchen staff treated me like a dog and kept laughing in kitchen while staring at me !!! I did let them know that I wasn’t happy and then two kitchen staff members should be fired!

The food is delicious. The salad bar on its own is worth a visit. The meats are delicious and are cooked to perfection. The staff are attentive, friendly and professional. We hope to see you all again soon. Regards

We had our first visit to Favela and it did not disappoint! The food was really good - most of the meat was cooked brilliantly. The staff came round regularly with the meat and the service was great, even though it was a very busy Saturday night. I will definitely be returning!

After an unexpected change of plans, my family and I found ourselves at Favela, a Brazilian restaurant where a variety of meats are brought to your table as long as your marker is set to green, offered a continuous culinary delight. As someone who has enjoyed this style of dining before, I was particularly impressed by the quality of the cooking at Favela. The beef, especially the rump and picanha cuts, were standout dishes for me, cooked to perfection with flavors that truly stood out. The authenticity of the experience was heightened by the staff, who appeared genuinely Brazilian, adding an air of authenticity to the meal and clearly took pride in the cuisine they presented. The chicken thighs were another highlight, perfectly textured and flavored. The sirloin and lamb followed suit in excellence, leaving no room for disappointment. While the salad bar was satisfactory, it was the meat that truly captured my attention, with its rich flavors and tender textures dominating the meal. A pleasant surprise towards the end was the cinnamon and sugar-coated pineapple slices, a delightful sweet treat that perfectly rounded off the meal. Although the staff were noticeably busy, their friendliness and efficiency did not waver, contributing to a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Favela provided an exceptional dining experience that was both unexpected and thoroughly enjoyed. The combination of exquisite meats, authentic atmosphere, and friendly service has ensured that we will certainly be returning in the future. Picture to follow.

Celebrated our 32nd anyversary there for the afternoon menu and the food and service was amazing. The venue too made us feel like we were on holiday. Defo go again and recommend this place x

From a vegetarian perspective I would say the food is pretty average, my husband got the seafood platter and it was not very generous for the price tag of £25. They did have vegetarian pasta options and the salad bar had quite a lot of choice, but I wouldn’t come here again. If you’re a meat eater I think it’s worth it, we came as part of a meat eater’s birthday meal and he definitely got his moneys worth. The service was slow for drinks and they forgot our order twice in the space of 2 hours.

Great food & service; I thought the steak was DELICIOUS & very filling. I haven't eaten anything since going here for lunch:-) I love the decor, music & food selection - I liked when they carved the delicious steak at your table! My companion could finish his feast so I finished it for him! Our advice is to not eat anything before coming as you will be eating for England:-)

A very insensitive staff with a bad behavior, I booked a table for a birthday and they didn't say that there was a time limit after orders of £800, they told us that other people were waiting to eat. I found hair in the elevator and traces of lipstick on the glasses, greasy cutlery. The invoice was higher than the order, when they realized that I saw it, I immediately changed the payment amount. For us, it was the last time we opened the door of this restaurant. Be careful not to suffer like us and to spoil the unique days of your life.

I never can find words to describe the service and food at favela. Sergio in the bar always make us to feel very special. Cant wait to be back.

Food was absolutely amazing. I’ve been to a few different restaurants that serve the all you can eat Brazilian meat but this place is by far the best. Angie was an excellent server, attentive, friendly and service with a smile. The salad bar had so many options compared to other people who serve this cuisine and every meat we tried was so tender and full of flavour. And we only had the lunch menu! Can’t wait to try the rest. Keep it up Favela Team!

From the start to the end i couldn’t absolutely ask anything else from the staff The staff were absolutely amazing Ill always come back for more even living far away

The selection of food and drink was good but found the belly pork had a funny taste and the garlic bread was soggy and undercooked. Also they added £17 service charge and I didn't notice until we left and I put a tip in I would never give a £27 tip! I will double check in future.

This must be our 20th visit here. We do not go anywhere else. The meat is faultless every single time, cooked perfectly to your liking. The buffet provided if filled with amazing bites, some traditional Brazilian food, I try something new every time I go. Drinks are reasonable prices. What makes this place extra special is the staff. No matter what day or time you go, all of them are amazing. In fact I’ll go as far as to say, it’s like a family to us. It really is like going to your families for tea. Everyone is welcoming, the guy behind the bar makes theee best cocktails, and all the other staff are brilliant at what they do. Both myself and my son are autistic and have adhd, and we feel safe and looked after when we come here. Thanks for everything guys!! See you all soon we hope

Absolutely lovely staff and food. There was so much to choose from all the meats were superb and cooked beautifully. I was so full at the end it is definitely bang for your buck. Also our server Rita was brilliant, so so nice.

I came with my family for my birthday. Rita was absolutely lovely and is an absolute credit to the company. She was very accommodating and always made sure we were enjoying our time. The restaurant itself is decorated beautifully and the food is so good I’ve never felt so full in my life!! 🤩

Brilliant. I'm sat in the restaurant as I write this and I'm happy, very full and well impressed. Hard working and very friendly staff are always keen to serve and sort out requests. The meats are spot on, not as salty as other Brazilian meat places. It's really clean, reasonably priced and probably the best one of these restaurants I've visited. I'll return soon, for sure.

Been several times and you get your money's worth in terms of food, quality and service. The salad bar is massive and varied, I highly recommend the mushroom stroganoff. The meat is cooked to perfection and you can request specific colours, from very rare to well done if that's your preference. Definitely visit if you're in the area.

Amazing place, however, you can only be there for 1h40min. Therefore, you need to eat quick.

I'm vegetarian, went for a Xmas meal with 35 meat eating colleagues. Favela looked after me very well, with a delicious mushroom pasta to go with their great salad bar.

Had a wonderful first experience here today. We only initially popped in for a drink, to decompress from an extremely poor service at a different establishment. Angee & the gentleman serving on the bar greated us warmly, efficiently & welcoming. Felt at ease instantly and decided to stay and eat. Everyone was so amenable, happy, clean, welcoming and the service was great. Service with a smile. The choice of the salad bar was extensive, something for everyone and beautifully fresh. Then the meat table service. Wow. Thank you everybody at Favela, definitely recommend & look forward to a return visit x

All you can eat meat, what more can you want?

First visit. Didn't know this place existed. Went for birthday celebs for 12 yo grandson and hubby. We had great choice of salads, biggest I've ever seen, then the diff meats are served at the table by cheerful servers. Biggest surprise was the servers coming out with ice cream with candles in it and singing happy birthday, quite raucous. Made me jump lol. We had received some bad news prior so wasn't sure about going but glad I got out the house

Really great "salad" bar which you could make a full meal in itself. Lots of different meats are constantly on offer and all cooked spot on. Allot better than the competition around the corner. Definitely be back for more once i have digested 6 months worth of meat in one go.

Loved this place. Traveled from Sheffield after recommendations and was not disappointed. Fantastic choice and lovely staff.

We've been here a few times. The food is amazing, but we we're let down by the service this visit. Once we'd spoken to staff about it things did improve. Well worth the money for what you get. Salad bar and side dishes are plentiful and varied and compliment the meats wonderfully.

First visit, we drove a while to get here, all in all an enjoyable meal and the team here (Pedro and others) give you a nice experience. The hot and cold buffet bar is amazing so much choice and had salads, feijoada, a beef stew, excellent sweet potato fries, rice - the cheese looked good. The waiters came round with the grilled meats and they were all super nice - with everyone getting some variety and different cooking (rare, medium, well done) we had steak, belly pork, gammon, chicken, pineapple - the steak is the stand out though, well seasoned and I would'nt order a whole steak eating out, but served this way is perfect. The prices are fair with £12 for 13 and below, we had a 13 year old with us and a pensioner, maybe do the £12 for over 75 year olds who have a smaller appetite. Don't recall any of us wasting any food, just skin and bones from the feijoada

This is a pretty good place to eat. For a really affordable price, you get a decent buffet of sides and sauces, really nice meats that you can pick and choose from as they're brought to your table, a nice selection of drinks, and from the times I've been great service from the staff.

Favela is an absolutely amazing restaurant and experience. I've been twice with my wife and we've loved it both times. Let's start with the service - waiters and chefs are attentive, alert, quick and incredibly personable. You feel well looked after the moment you sit down. You're given a choice regarding how your meat is cooked. The restaurant is staffed well so you're never awkwardly looking for someone's eye. The food - It is impeccable. Everything is clean, consistent and flavoursome. My personal favourite is the chicken heart. You must order ad-hoc on this, but trust me; it's absolutely worth it. It's a menu item most people don't try, so I'll highlight it in this review. 5/5, amazing.

Favela is a very authentic Brazilian experience. I really enjoyed the service and food. The waiters are so attentive and fun to talk to. The atmosphere here is light and airy, with great music and ambiance. The food is authentic and tasty. I got the all you can eat dinner menu on my visit. The selection of beefs, seasoned and cooked to my preference, is unparalleled. 5/5, amazing.

The best rodízio and best brazilian buffet like in Brazil

Fast and cheap food without discarding quality. A nice table to collect sides with a variety that would appeal to almost all diners palletes. Gives a decent time between meat provided two dishes aren't finished at the same time. A real celebration of meat, if you want more time between meat courses then it's best to go when it's busier. But if you want to indulge quickest definitely opt for an earlier booking. Good quality food with modern sleek aesthetics to the restaurant, great to go if you are to have a treat.

What can I say other than the food is beautiful. There is a really good selection of sides and the meat is brought to the table piping hot. I like it medium rare and have to say its some of the best I've had. The garlic bread was beautiful too. The service was great, Can't wait to go back.

Oh I do love this place! My second time here and definitely won't be the last! The food was beautiful! The selection of the salad bar is huge! I'd be happy to pay just to get stuff from there haha but the meat is what we come for! And it was gorgeous! Glad they have a great selection of meats that are cooked rare! And you MUST try their grilled pineapple! So make sure you leave some space for it in the end! 😁 The staff are wonderful too, always smiling always there if you need anything! We came near the closing time and we were the last people in there eating and they asked us a few times if we are happy and would we like them to bring out more of our favourite meats. Make sure you come hungry, because you will leave bursting at the seams! 😁

In my recent visit to Favela Brazilian Bar and Grill, I found that my experience was very similar to the last time I visited this venue almost three years ago. I appreciate the consistency they have maintained in terms of the quality of their dishes. I must say that the food I tried was all incredibly tasty, with the exception of the lamb, which I didn't try due to personal preference. However, the Brazilian steak stood out as a true star. It was cooked to perfection, tender, and bursting with flavor. It's definitely a must-try dish that won't disappoint meat lovers. For dessert, I indulged in the £5 brownies, which were delightful, although they didn't have the exact gooey center that I personally prefer. Nevertheless, they were still delicious with a firm and solid texture. It's a sweet treat that complements the meal nicely. Aside from the food, I appreciate the warm and welcoming ambiance of Favela Brazilian Bar and Grill. The staff members were attentive and friendly, ensuring that my needs were met throughout the evening. The service was efficient, adding to the overall positive dining experience. In conclusion, I can confidently recommend Favela Brazilian Bar and Grill. Their dishes are consistently tasty, and my recent experience mirrored the enjoyable one I had almost three years ago. Went there tonight with my husband and it was absolutely fantastic. Amazing service, it was 2nd to none. Very efficency, friendly. Food was to die for. Definitely will be going again and recommend to anyone Sergio was on the bar. An absolutely lovely meet and greet from the lady who served us ( sorry I didn't catch her name). We went today for my mums birthday for the first time, we will definitely return in the future, the staff were so friendly and the food was amazing. We couldn’t fault the place at all and would highly recommend going. It is more expensive than some places but the quality of the meat and the selection on the salad bar make it worthwhile.
