My first time visiting here and I will give it another go. Decided to have a large fish, chips and peas. This was the biggest piece of fish I had ever seen. The batter was tasty and the quantity and quality of fish was second to none. The chips and peas were standard run of the mill, but what swung it for me was the size of the fish and the friendly service.

Been here a few times and carn't recommend enough the quality and quantity of the fish n chips, the service is warm and welcoming and nothing is to much trouble. If you like a little kick to your curry they have 2 options well done for the new manager and her family thnx Ann n Andy x

Cerca nunca han sido tan vivo, pero decidió una noche para tener una bolsa de patatas fritas y era encantador y fresco. Desde entonces hemos vuelto y el pescado y curry son igual de bien. Lo recomiendo.

Called in here today as I'd forgot my lunch and was working in the area . Think they're the best chips I've had, especially locally. Great portion sizes and really cheap too. Will definitely be back. Adam

I ordered fish & chips and despite the chips being a large portion the fish and chips were dry. I think they may have been sat for a while. The staff were friendly and it looked clean so I would be happy to try again to see if was just a one off. It's slightly off the beaten track and could be quite good if it were busier.

Absolutely beautiful traditional fish n chips, Weve tried them all and this place is top drawer. Made to order so be patient its worth it.

Visited a few times. I think it's the best chippy around. The fish is delicious. To me it takes like fish from the seaside. Yummy yummy

If you have not got a good appetite this is not for you as the helpings are extremely generous,Mon. to Fri. lunch we had avaried sekection of the pies and were they yummy (OH YES all for £5 each excellent VFM )washed down with good selection of fine beers

Me n the mrs looking for some chips .. seen the sign on the road side and im glad we did. First visit for us but it wont be the last. Really enjoyed our fish chips n curry. Beautiful fish n chips and by far the nicest curry sauce i have tried 5☆

last Sunday a large party of friends had Sunday roast at this restaurant, the man in charge Stuart and his colleagues did every thing they could to ensure we had a nice meal and excellent service.He also ensured that even though he had entered every ones meal on a combined bill, it was possible for each party to pay for their meals separately. the service was good and seamless, this made my friends Ruby wedding anniversary meal a little more special

I use henshalls quite often as I literally live round the corner. I must say it's one of the best chip shops iv been to. Large portions and very tasty food. I agree with previous reviews that there can be a wait but that's down to one thing only n that's the food being fresh & I'd also like to add that the owner Alan is also a lovely bloke, always makes conversation and makes to feel welcome. (He also has the patience to deal with my 3 year old who tries destroying his shop haha).

Lived nearby and never came in and I'm really glad I took the chance. The owner was very friendly and my fish was cooked to order, which is so lovely to see. It was beautifully cooked, really nice and flaky with really tasty batter. I'll definitely be coming back.

I drive past this chip shop every day and never called in. However today I did. The service is friendly and welcoming, and like a few say a wait for the food but it is fresh so worth the wait. I asked for two portions of chips, however on seeing how many chips one portion was I changed my mind to one. I shall be back.

Delicious food, waited a while but that was purely down to the fish been freshly cooked and not sat going soggy in batter which was worth the wait! Staff are lovely and polite too :)

Usually treat myself here once a week. Quality fish and chips, friendly staff, generous portions and the nicest fish I have tasted in a while. If you fancy something a bit different would definately recommend the Mozarella strips in batter.

Tried Henshall's for the first time last week and besides being amazed at the huge portion sizes I can honestly say they were the best fish and chips I have ever had. We will be back tomorrow for their special miners day meal deal.
