Used to enjoy coming here. Not sure when it changed, but my experience today was poor. Ordered winter vegetable soup and bread and butter. A ‘glass’ of water. The wait was acceptable. Although the cafe had few visitors I had to collect my own soup when the staff member said it was ready. The water came in a paper cup. The soup was green and had a bit of a bitter taste like leftover sprouts. It was served in a cardboard tub. It was nicely hot. The slice of granary bread was fresh and the small packet of butter Netherend Farm straight from the fridge hard. The cutlery was wooden or bamboo. The plate paper. The spoon was almost flat and so not suitable for eating soup with. I used the cardboard tub as a cup and drank some soup, but it wasn’t good and I couldn’t finish it. There is a note on the table that you should clear your own utensils. I took them to the table where my leftover soup had to be poured into a small bucket with lid. This mixed with my leftover water. Then I popped the other items into the 2 relevant bins. I understand that it’s trying be ’eco friendly’ and business is hard, but it wasn’t for me at all. If I go out for lunch it needs to be a good experience. Sadly this wasn’t and I wouldn’t return.

I was so looking forward to eating here, heard so much about it. Mothers day booking. 3 of us ate. When we walked in, I observed how large and bright the restaurant was (7.45pm booking). Our table was in the middle, and so felt a little like a canteen, with the lighting quite bright, it did not feel like a special evening meal. We started with poppadom's, we did not ask for the chutney tray, but it was delivered and charged for. (no other restaurant has ever charged us for this). I did see it was on the menu at a cost of £2.50. But we did not order it. The food was very nice, quality of the chicken was really nice, probably some of the best I have ever eaten. While we were eating I received an email from the restaurant saying, while they appreciate plans can change, it would have been appreciated if we could not make the reservation to give them notice. We were literally sitting in the restaurant eating!!!! Overall, I felt the restaurant lacked atmosphere, service and all the waiting staff gave an atmosphere of being rushed, and overall I felt it was a little on the pricey side. I probably would not re visit, and use a more local restaurant. I was disappointed with our visit here.

Walked in today, only to be greeted by staff saying horrible remarks about customers not quietly may I add, then I brought turkey and ham pie. Or should I say a mortens mouldy pie it’s a good thing I spotted it when I did or I reckon I’d be pretty ill right now. Needless to say won’t be visiting again and highly advised those who do to be careful.

This is a lovely little cafe, in gorgeous surroundings. And it’s dog friendly. Food is good, and well priced. But I really cannot cope with wooden cutlery and paper cups etc. I hate the feel of the wooden cutlery and no matter how compostable paper cups are they’ve have a carbon footprint.

Not your usual review. We visited on a Wednesday evening and I didn't spend a penny. I didn't pay for my food, which wasn't served until way gone 10pm, but my friends and I had a great night, and all being well we will be back in the summer to do the same again. This is because tonight it was the Worcester Wednesday Darts League, and I being a designated driver for my team had the privilege of my drinks being paid for by my enthusiastic team mates. So an evening on the coke for me. This was our second visit to play against the White Hart Faithful, and it was just as enjoyable as the first. Whilst we emersed ourselves in a tense evening of darting competition down one end of the pub, a healthy sway of visiting customers occupied the remainder, and we're probably slightly amused by the moans, groans and cheers plus a few extras coming from our end of the building. Once we finished, it was well into the evening, most punters had long gone, and our excellent hosts brought out a late supper for the two darting teams. We we're treated to a platter of sausages and fries plus the most remarkable stew I have tasted for some time. It was an offering of pork, apple and mushroom mixed with a gorgeous blend of herbs and spices. It was so good it was seconds all round and not a scrap left. It was a satisfying end to an evening shared in a competative and friendly atmosphere amongst two great teams. Well done to everyone at the White Hart from the Bedwardine Bullseyes 🎯 We look forward to a return 👏

We booked for Sunday Lunch after hearing good reviews from our Neighbours who came last week. We can see why they reccommended, it was stunning! I had the Turkey, my partner the beef, lovely flavour..the beef came with a yorkie, so i had to order an extra..they were huge!! Very big portion, we couldnt fit dessert in but there will definetly be a next time!
