It was indeed a beautiful building in a beautiful setting and the food was amazing. But this little hidden gem in Worcester is no more - the restaurant has now closed.

We had a lovely meal served by friendly staff in historic surroundings unique to Worcester. The view from the window seat of the great hall of the river is one of the best in Worcester!

We took a dear friend out for lunch and as a visitor to the city thought she might enjoy the experience of lunch in the delightful and historic ambiance of the Old Palace - which she (as well as ourselves) did! This is one of those `hidden gems` - a fascinating venue where one can enjoy home cooking, old fashioned welcome, great value for money and soak up the atmosphere of one of Worcester`s most delightful historic buildings (which of course is handy for both city centre and the cathedral.) The food is simple, home cooked and delicious and after a generous lunch one can enjoy coffee in the main hall overlooking the river and the fields beyond. Lunch is worth seeking out. But the best part of this wonderful lunchtime is, as always, the warmth and friendliness of the ladies who run the restaurant - they are exceptional and cannot be praised enough. It is though a little sad that despite the well earned praise there is one irritating detail - the inability to pay by card for the meal - one has to use cash. Really this is a nuisance - fortunately today we had enough - but we could so easily have been embarrassed if there was insufficient on us. The nice ladies are all too aware of this and were equally embarrassed - so please do rectify this as you could make this exceptional experience a complete one! Overall - exceptional, truly exceptional. Malcolm

Meal of the day for £6, what great value for money. Freshly cooked for us and served hot and with a smile. Choice of desserts including home cooked crumble. Comfortable restaurant. Atmosphere in the lounge of a gentleman's club, where you can enjoy a coffee. Enjoyable visit.

Amazing coffee, amazing staff, amazing town with very nice people. I had a fantastic time there overall. However, reception is poor in Bishampton town and inside the shop or any buildings you might not be able to make any calls, send messages, or make online payments without network interruptions. I really hope the relevant authorities can improve mobile phone network reception in the area. Also if you plan on using a debit card at the village shop/post office to pay for coffee and other items, it might not work for some reason. It’s the single most painful experience I had to endure since I had to look for another post office to withdraw cash.

Freshly prepared tasty food. Definitely a little gem behind EUFC. Lots of parking. Eat in or take away. But if you've time enjoy the sunny patio.

There is a reason this place has lots of people sitting in there when the rest of the places in Evesham are empty; it's perfect Firstly lovely staff (I think family run?) The food is to die for, the pizzas smashing the rest of the competition in town. Very very good prices, get a sit down homely unpretentious Italian restaurant meal for the price of a cafe visit. I'll definitely be back!
