The best restaurants in Aldridge Central and South Walsall West Midlands

What a fantastic place. We stumbled upon this bakery/cafe last year when visiting the area from Leicestershire and now travel here to buy our bread (and have our lunch at the same time as a treat) The bread is the best artisan bread we have ever had. Made by Dave with artisan stone ground flour he has sourced. We love the sourdough and sun dried tomato, the granary, the lovely rolls ......in fact we love all the bread Dave makes. He is a genius. We order two days before and when we pick up our bread we have lunch. The red pepper quiche and feta cheese tarts made by Michelle are absolutely divine, as are her fantastic cakes and biscuits. Our favourite is the carrot and walnut cake. Dave and Michelle are the just the most lovely couple. So friendly. They love what they do and they are passionate about sourcing the best ingredients. I guarantee that once you've been you'll want to keep going back!

Amazing staff, amazing quality, amazing value and they even have a loyalty card to save you even more money, I had a absolutely amazing deal today. It just keeps getting better and better. I used to use a close competitor of theirs but now will only use these guys, I would highly recommend to passing trade or to people within the trade. If you have not yet tried these guys make sure you take advantage before you plan your next BBQ! Top marks!

The most disgusting and over priced food. Fish and chips was £10 and consisted a 15cm piece of fish which was soggy and disgusting. Paid about £5 for a korma plus extra for chicken so basically paid £5 for a cold load of korma sauce and hardly any chicken which I paid extra for. Salad was off it was brown and not fresh at all. Omelette was about £6 which was plain and consisted of about 4 eggs which costs about 40p and it was microwaved. The food was appalling and I called to complain and they offered to send more disgusting food out which I obviously refused. Should be called KhiMUCK instead. Horrible experience food all thrown in the bin oh and ordered chicken curry which was covered in grease and had clearly been microwaved.

21/04/2025 One of the best take away Indian cuisine I have ever had!! Usually I like to dine in when I eat Indian cuisine as I feel when it's delivered it's watery and cold.. this was not the case here.. I decided to try somewhere new (mainly because I had a voucher on deliveroo and fancied a curry) and it was so worth it. 10/10 would recommend. Also.. The best onion bhajis I've ever had. My partner agreed.

Visited the pub earlier this evening - what a great end to a busy week! We were truly impressed by the service throughout our visit - we were welcomed by all staff members, seated within seconds and our order was taken within a few minutes. Service was incredibly quick. The food was faultless - the best mixed grill in the Midlands! The butter chicken was just perfect - will definitely be ordering again. We also had sides - chips, naan and rotis - everything was spot on! If only we had room for more, we would have ordered a sweet treat :) the quality cannot be matched. A lovely family run pub/ restaurant - I’d definitely put it at the top of my list for recommendations. Whether it’s a family meal, quick munch or a date night for two, you’ll not be disappointed! Worth every single penny - thank you for a great evening!

Not a premium experience, especially considering the price charged . The dining room itself feels very dated and gives off 1980’s vibes . The Afternoon tea Menu itself had seen better days , slightly sticky and curled at the edges and that really set the tone . The sandwiches were , well pretty dull and felt like they’d been made some time before . The cakes promised more than they delivered , however the scones were terrific ! When my tea was delivered , the waitress made a point of saying that they used loose leaf tea … fabulous indeed , however the second pot had a cheap Euro style tea bag shoved into the the leaf chamber ! Not premium! Service was slow and a bit disinterested. I certainly won’t be returning for Afternoon Tea . I would try the a la carte menu to see how it compares with other fine dining establishments in the area

Outstanding chicken achari and prawn passanda here at good prices. They even threw in free rice for us on our takeaway. We very much enjoyed it here.

Do NOT order from here. Called the first time as we didn’t receive our rice. They brought it the second time with no apology about the mistake on the phone. Second time the food came it was cold, dry & the chicken tasted like off milk! To the point we was heaving trying to take a bite. We Called and said we want a refund (no apology from them on the phone yet again) and they asked for the food back even though we dished it out and still wanted it all back. Vile! Will never order again, put us of Chinese food

I really hope this place comes back. I had not long found it before it closed. I thought the food was really nice, good quality and the service was very good. While not the cheapest I can safely say that it was good value given the quality of what you got.

Wonderful ale, pub snacks, freshly​ made cobs and homely surroundings make the Turtles Head a pleasure to visit.

Excellent food and drinks as always. Service is second to none. Wouldn't go anywhere else for a curry in Aldridge - we've been coming here for10 years, if not longer. Sam and the team run an amazing restuarant with brilliant service and consistently great food. Nothing is ever too much trouble. We would highly recommend. Keep up the great work!
