Popped in last night for a few beers and some food. Two friends from Smethwick joined me so the standard needed to be good lol. Live the fact it's a proppa pub at the front then a clean contemporary Tikka restaurant at the back. Lads were very very please. We orderd Fish Pakora and it was crispy fresh tasting and full.of flavour. The chicken wings were probably some of the best I had and with a nickname of Chicken Dicken that's a big call. The lads ordered a mixed wrap each and was shocked at the size and amount of meat. Over all a great experience with top notch food.

Good atmosphere, not too busy but comfortable. Mixed grill was delicious - fish panoramic nice and crispy, lamb chops and chicken tikka also very flavoursome. Chicken wings were moist, but lacked any real spice or seasoning. Chicken pattia was immense, sweet and hot, chicken very tender. Lamb rogan josh, sauce was fiery, and lamb a little tough (just over). Service was great, warm and friendly.

5 start food and service. Booked a table for half 6. Sat down, went a placed are order and payed, food was on are table in 10 mins hot and good portions 👍🏻. We was full, finished and out by 7. Very fast and efficient defo recommend

You pay what you get for...good spicy food...but worth it

It's a midweek eatery for us, too busy and too loud at the weekends. Food is fantastic though, staff are hardworking and look after you well, we will keep going back!

Curry was mainly sauce.4 pieces of chicken only.Staff took plates when some of us had not finished.A little expensive

The service alone gets this 5 We forgot an order and they got it out to us lightning quick so we could all eat together rather than wait. Jalfrezi and wraps were great. Food was amazing, very popular and good selections. Booking is a must. Thanks to the staff for keeping us in check and for great service.

What a undercover pub this is. From the outside and when you walk in, I thought I went to the wring place, but behind the front bar is a lovely orangery type room that was rammed packed with customers. Food and drinks are nice here.

Large restaurant with extensive menu with Indian food at the back of this pub. The mixed grill is great value and exec it Ed well. I would recommend this place for a place to meet friends or take the family.

We had a great first experience here. The venue is very nice and provides a great atmosphere. The food looked and tasted great, with the veggie grill being a highlight. With there being a number of grill pubs in the area, this is by far the best one

Fantastic food, brilliant service. A classic pub when you walk in and then you go into the back and it's really smart and tidy. I had a hot Pathia and some Dhal, it was brilliant, we'll be back soon!

A very good pub/Indian restaurant. Well kept three draught beers - Wye Valley Butty Bach, Castle Rock Harvest Pale and one other. The absence of Backyard Blonde is much lamented. Fine selection of lagers, keg beers and ciders. Can't speak about the wine selection. Be aware there are large screen TVs in all rooms. Tables and leather bench seats as well as chairs. Log burner in winter months. Can get crowded on local football tie days/evenings.

Love this place with a great environment good stocked bar with real ales with quick food service and very tasty, good layout with space, parking is ok if you arrive early, good kid's meals, will be visiting again. Good news mixed grill item's are very tasty and the heat has been toned down, very enjoyable ohh and draft cobra good price.

Ordered from Uber eats and the order came wrong. Called the restaurant for 10 minutes. Spoke to somebody from the kitchen who explained what had happed but said nothing they could do to fix it unless we collected which obviously we couldn’t hence ordering off Uber. They then said that actually our order was right implying that I’m lying. All very odd kept saying sorry but couldn’t tell me what I was meant to do since I have paid for food I hadn’t got. Eventually after being on the phone for 12 minutes and keep asking what I need to do to either get the correct food or a refund I was told to deal with Uber…

We always used to use here and was great We went last week and food was awful had no taste to it and was swimming in grease! I have since then messaged via social media platforms regarding this but have been totally ignored Will not be returning!! It’s true what they say it’s always the bad experience you remember but it really was the worst tasting food I’d had in a while and cost £50 too for 2 people

The restaurant is at the back of the pub so if you haven't been dont be put off by the front bit as we nearly were. The food was beautiful, the service & atmosphere was really good, definitely going again.

Whilst we were sat eating staff were moving tables joining them to ours. Very unprofessional all they cared about was getting more people in. A shame really because the food was delicious but the customer service was very poor

Food was excellent and staff were friendly. Looks great inside in the restaurant and would recommend to anyone looking for a good place to get some food and drinks. They serve a lot of vegetarian food too and this is listed on a separate side of the menu which is very helpful. Atmosphere was good as was really busy for a weekday evening and prices were good too.

Actually the worse service I’ve come across The wait staff were as polite as they could be with no management back up. The management staff are rude and disgusting. I have never come across such a condescending woman. Table service was VERY slow

Absolutely fantastic Desi-pub... Haven't been here for years, so was very surprised by the amount of space it has. A good choice of curry type meals and grills at a reasonable price. Good choice of draught drinks at the bar. You queue up to order food, and again to order drinks... Seems to work well and the food came out quite quickly. The only gripe was the weird "dance" music being played too loud that made it difficult to have a conversation... Follow up visit... Not as good. Felt really rushed, they brought out poppadoms but no plates, then brought out plates and the mains within moments. Would not recommend the salad, it was tiny, mostly lettuce. However, the background music was better and not as loud (shame about the group of "grown men" behind us who were shouting and messing about ...)

There's a spectacular range of Indian food that tastes delicious. Service was quick and staff were very understanding of allergies and dealt with it accordingly. The atmosphere is amazing and we had the opportunity to watch the football game too. Would definitely visit Lazy Hill again! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I was a tiny bit apprehensive from the outside as it looks like just a normal pub but when you get inside it's completely different. Outstanding curry, great surroundings and attentive staff. Thoroughly recommend

Walked into a old fashion pub, the restaurant is at the back of the pub, lovely decorated. Ordered 1 chicken balti which was very spicy, portion of chips, keema nan and a pint of cider came to over £20. It was very busy, you had to order food and drinks at the bar, no waiter service. Nice experience but food expensive for the area its in, would of been cheaper to eat in the Indian restaurants in Aldridge.

Terrible walked us in restaurant area kept us standing there for ten minutes then told us we fully booked . Bad organisation won't be goin again .

Place was packed on a Saturday night but the service was amazing, food was absolutely delicious and their was a great atmosphere in the Lazy Hill Tavern, will definitely be returning.

Good service great food 👍 always busy

Our first time visiting this restaurant and we were not disappointed. We were a party of 4 . We ordered the large grill meats and 3 different curries with nan breads. The bar is in a separate area to the ordering point, the staff were very polite and dealt with our order quite quickly. The wait wasn't long before our food arrived. I liked the fact that the heat ( taste ) can be chosen in the various dishes ordered. Also there two sides to the menu one for meat lovers and the side for vegetarion option. All the food was delicious and tasty. We went around 4pm and except for a small party gathering in the larger area it was reasonably quiet. By the time were leaving the room had filled and became noisy and we found we had to raise our voices to be heard. My advice is to go early, book in advance to avoid a wait especially if going after 7pm. We will be going back again as its on our list of recommended restaurants.

Lovely decoration but not customer-focussed, don’t expect a friendly welcome! Food reasonable but waaaay over priced compared to similar places. My advice to the owner would be…you can’t rely on the decor to entice people back. Lower your prices, teach your staff to be friendly and welcoming and provide table service. Very disappointed!

The food was absolutely lovely and the staff very welcoming and attentive. One small downside for me was having the football on in the restaurant. It was already on in the bar area for me it didn't need to be on in the restaurant as well. I will definitely be returning highly recommend.

We found this place through a local Google search as we were staying in the vicinity, and it was quite a good little find. The initial greeting was quite odd, we had booked a table in advance, and the server started leading us to a table and then told us to sit where we wanted to. It was quite nice to have free reign but it's like they gave up halfway there! We were also expecting table service but noticed that you needed to order from a hole in the wall. This in itself is not an issue but it would have been good to mention it as, if we would have had our backs to it, we likely would have been waiting a while! The food however was really tasty, the lamb in both dishes was very tender and didn't take much pressure to fall apart. The pilau rice was very flavoursome although we did have to be wary of cloves and bay leaves still left in there. Considering it was midweek it was reasonably busy so I would recommend booking in advance. The decor in the restaurant is lovely, you can tell that there has been some love and planning involved, so it is a good place to host a celebration meal; although when you initially walk in it does look like the usual 'traditional old man pub' so it's like two different spaces. There isn't a car park directly outside but just past the premises is a small free car park which can be utilised.

The ambience is amazing and my fiancé really loved the food and he is a very picky eater. I loved the lamb shank and cheesy nan was to die for.

Lovely place. Nice food, only criticism chips taste like oil needs changing, and also, we had to wait 10 minutes for our child's meal to come after our own.

Fantastic food great prices and the staff are all friendly and caring. The Venue itself is decorated to a very very high standard love it there.

The restaurant is in the rear of the pub and It has been done out lovely. Not the cheapest, but the food was lovely. Great atmosphere, but the waiting staff could be slightly friendlier. We were shown to our table, they brought over the menus and left us to it. They never explained if it was table service. After about 10 minutes, I went and asked myself. Would return.

Having read all the good reviews for this restaurant we were really looking forward to our visit. However, it was really disappointing. We felt rushed, and some of the food was inedible. I guess we visited on an off night.

I only popped in on the off chance at 12.30 but it was too early for food . i was told the kitchen did not open until 2.00 which at a weekend was surprising. However, the service was good and efficient, a lot has gone into the refurb and it looks good. I'll be back to try the food if it's open!!

Brilliant little restaurant, the food is really good, we had mixture of starters and mains - it all tasted authentically Indian, the spice was perfect and tasted high quality. There are many vegetarian and vegan options on the menu. The location of the restaurant is good and it has plenty of parking. The interior design is also brilliant, too job to the owners. Will be coming back often.

the curries here are great, butter chicken is so tasty. The mixed grill starter was good but the lamb and the kebab was not great. Chicken tikka, the masala chips, and the spicy paneer were all great. Fast service and nice place for a curry.

Great food, first time visiting. Have visited other pubs from the same owners and have had consistently good food/drink. Great food. Drinks served in premium glasses, beers in the 'proper' pint glasses and whisky in proper tumblers. Great atmosphere. Cannot wait to go back.
