Baltinights in Walsall

We visited twice in 10 days. The first occasion was a Wednesday night and we were the only table occupied all night. The food was as good as it has always been and well presented.It wasn't until we checked our bill after leaving the place that we realised that we had paid far too much but too late to do anything about it. Put it down to experience.The second visit was on a Saturday night with my partner when the place was full.Service was not too quick to say the least.Again the food was good.The bill came eventually at £43 which was a bit of a shock as we had only had the set meal at £13.95 each.When challenged the bill was corrected to £ 27.90Twice in two visits is not good enough and we will not give them a third chance.

Visited here twice in the last month which kind of gives the game away in terms of what my review will highlight.Albeit both visits were around 6pm mid week which resulted in the restaurant being fairly quiet, I have to say the initial greeting right through to when we left the premises were superb. To explain, we were made to feel very welcome from outset, shown to our table, special offers explained with the option of tailoring the menu/dishes to our preference. The food presentation and taste was very good and nice to see the table being cleaned between courses. Having visited twice we will certainly visit again and have already recommended to friends and family. My only request is that as we were visiting early evening the restaurant personally was not very warm,I'm sure as more customers come in this would be different. My suggestion would be to get the restaurant warm enough before it opens and if necessary reduce the heating temperature as more customers come in. Never the less, this will not deter me from returning, keep up the good work/service/food standards.

Went on a cold Thursday evening, 7 adults 2 children. Pleased to see that the standard of food is still excellent, we all opted for the Banquet special. With this deal, you get a side dish with your main, I would rather have popadums at the start instead as the main is filling enough without a side dish. Service was efficient and the restaurant was warm enough. None of us could fault the food at all, very good! One slight niggle, our grandchildren could not consume some pop we had bought for them as Balti Nights sell their own soft drinks. I can understand but think that by charging a small corkage fee of say £2 a table that would be better. My daughter was also not allowed to drink pop, even though she is 8 & 3/4 months pregnant so off the booze. I will be back though, great food. £100.55 in total for all of us.

Mid week the restaurant was very busy and we were happy to find a table. Nearby were two birthday groups and serving them seemed to be a priority. Our starter came quickly but then we waited over an hour for the main course to arrive. We asked for a jug of water but it never arrived. We asked for the radiator to be turned down but the request was ignored. Some of our main courses were cold. The portion sizes were fine.The chairs are too low and it makes it difficult to comfortably eat, even for a 6 foot guy.

Ordered a takeaway on New Year's Eve so i appreciate it would be busy. Ordered food at 7.30pm an was told a 50 minute wait which was fine, they then phoned me back an said they were really busy so would be an hour an half. 9.00 came an still nothing so phoned them back an was told another 50 minutes!!!! Phoned back 40mins lata an was told driver had just left. 20 mins late still not here so phoned back an was told he was stuck in traffic. Considering it was now 10.00 on new years eve night there wasnt any traffic about on the roads. Food finally arrived 2.5 hrs later from when first ordered an considering how much we paid the food was very poor!!! Not happy at all an wasted our money, this was a treat for us and it spoilt our new years eve celebrations, we went passed been hungry in the end so was a complete waste of a night!!!!

Family of 6 visit. The Banquette meal offer is great value. The food here is excellent. We ordered a wide range of starters, mains and sides. Everything was perfect. The staff here a very friendly and attentive making it a very enjoyable experience. Recommended.

Has changed hands recently, have been here 7 or 8 times since then, plus a few deliveries. The food and service have been fantastic every time, there is an excellent banquet deal for every night of the week and I cannot recommend it highly enough! Asked for Tawa Chicken Tikka this week, instead the owner made myself and my friend a special Tawa dish with chicken and lamb tikka and mushrooms with a little tamarind in the sauce - absolutely fabulous! There are some good curry houses in Aldridge at the moment but this is the best of the lot, get booked in

I visited balti house with my family, I had an amazing evening. Food was 10/10 service was impecable. Would definitely recommend

We were in Aldridge by chance and saw the restaurant Balti Nights. Chance can be a great thing as this is the best Indian restaurant I’ve ever been to and I’ve tried Indian food the world over. The service is second to none. Quality of ingredients and the chef’s expertise makes for an absolutely delicious dining experience.

We have been going there, for a couple of years now. It started when Shireen's was being re-furbished.

We booked a table for 8 for my sisters birthday , we have tried most curry houses in the area hands down this is the best one , we all enjoyed our food, the curries so tasty also the salmon dish was lovely. The staff are so attentive and friendly. Will be sticking to the restaurant every-time from

We ordered for 6 people. 3 of us are ill by the day after. Not only this they charged 15£ for popadoms and chutneys. After 1 hour and 40 minutes waiting for our food. It’s arrived with a curry missing which in all fairness was replaced immediately. The lad on the phone taking our order spoke like absolute garbage, rude and was pushing us from withdrawing our order. Overall 3/10 from me and the squad.

Staff are friendly, attentive, efficient and who ever is looking after the kitchen needs a big slap on the back! Having tried my first Indian meal in 1970...this evenings presentation was the most talented tasty and colourfull meal for many a decade. Nice to know and comforting that a quality driven restaurant is only a couple of miles from our home..and ashamed that until now we binned their leaflets.

Having been to Balti Nights in the past, and really enjoyed it, we took my Italian Sister in Law and Brother in Law for their first Indian Dining Experience a couple of weeks ago. They were a little apprehensive as they are not fans of overly spicy food. We explained to our waiter and he recommended suitable dishes. The food was really flavoursome and my in-laws were really pleasantly surprised at how tasty it was. So much so that we returned there last night; again the service was amazing and the food lived up to our expectations - 2 more converts :-)

Went here after persuading 3 more people we had not booked but was given a nice table, the food was very nice and tasty, good value for money as the meal deal offer is on every night, good service and nice small comfy place to eat, will most definately be back soon

I would highly recommend a visit to this restaurant. I let the staff know that I have a low chilli tolerance and they were incredible. They accommodated for my needs and the food was delicious. The lamb chops were my personal favourite. Thank you to Rubel and Tariq for being so friendly and the wonderful service. I will definitely be returning!

So decided to go here as it was close to home ,and hadn’t got long before We had to be back at home ,so from start to finish have to say this was an amazing meal ,service was second to non , had a warm welcome as we entered , the place was very warm and felt very comfortable it was freezing outside , so we sat near the radiator, menu was explained to us , loads to choose from , we went for the meal deal which was amazing value, every monthful was just so tasty , had a lamb and mushroom saag , have to say I eat quite a lot of India food and this was up there with one of the best iv had , the waiter was very attentive, and even wiped table over in between starter and mains , I would definitely recommend going to have a meal here , and we will definitely be going back .

Aldridge has a lot of competition when it comes to Indian Restaurants. So we tried Balti Nights for the first time. "Wow". Food was amazing. Staff are so friendly. Everything was 100% perfect. Well done Balti Nights. Cant wait to try takeaway. See you soon.

Have eaten here before and everything was fine, howeverthis is not my experience for our latest visit, we were part of a party of 6 and booked a table for 1930 by 1950 we had ordered our food, 2 hrs later and we had not eaten, despite repeat promises that our food was on the way. Clearly all other tables were also waiting to be served. Just Eat orders were being completed before guests in the restaurant. when the food came it was fine and the prices were keen but waiting 2 hrs to be served is unacceptable. If the owners want to be a take away be a take away but not at the expense of sitting in customers

After hearing about this place from a friend we decided to give it a go as we were fed up of visiting Indian restaurants and every meal tasting exactly the same no matter what you ordered!

Visited last night & we weren't disappointed, like Spice Inn it's an Indian who's food doesn't make my husband ill! Despite being full with a party of ladies we were served very promptly & food was delicious. I can certainly recommend the mix starter but all the food was well cooked & tasty. Was recommended this place by a friend, a couple of months back and have been meaning to visit ever since... well... how badly have I missed out! The food was amazing and the service was top notch! Priced well too! I would highly recommend the Garlic Chilli Curry and the Lamb Tikka Naga! Perfect night. Thank you and I think this will be my new favourite place!

My wife and I visited last night (Saturday) and we were most impressed by the new management in both choice of dishes & the service from the staff.

Just got home after a terrific meal. It’s my first visit, so can’t compare to any previous management. It does however compare favourably with other Indian restaurants in the town.

Visited the restaurant as it’s under new management, have to say we were really impressed, the food was amazing & the service was wonderful, very friendly team who were very professional & courteous. Definitely recommend & will be visiting again.

I have used this restaurant for years and never had a bad meal, so to find it closed down and sold to new management was a shock to say the least. My wife and I went there tonight to try their new range of food. The welcome was warm and friendly. We took our own drinks and were offered glasses straight away. We took our time to look through the new range of dishes on offer and ordered a sheek kebab for wifey and a lamb puree dish for me. We were offered popadums and pickles which came quickly and were all very fresh. Starters were great and a pleasant surprise was the sheek kebab comes wrapped in a paratha type bread. For the mains I had a great mixed grill, accompanied by a very very tasty Bombay aloo and naan. Wifey had a Chicken Malaya type dish, too sweet for me but it is what she likes. We both agreed that the food was very very good. We were offered a complimentary coffe which we declined but it was a lovely generous offer. The service from T and his assistant was friendly and genuine which added to the overall impression. Total bill was £27 ( popadums are a chargable extra) which we felt satisfied with. It's nice to know that there are now two very good restaurants in this part of the town and we find ourselves torn between them, we never go to the ones down Anchor Road. Well done guys, great food, great prices and a nice relaxed ambience. See you again soon!

Me and my boyfriend visited balti nights last month and omg this is the nicest Indian I have ever had!

So I used to b a regular under old management, and the majority of time it was nice, but in end it went downhill sadly, now tonight I fancied a treat so I had a takeaway, 1st time under new owners and it was fantastic, I had lamb masala and it was awesome, plenty of meat, lovely sauce and no grease. Great flavours and cooked to perfection. Had rice and naan both of which were nice. Would highly recommend due to great service, quick delivery and overall enjoyment. For me best place in Aldridge.

Having been "re-testing" all of the Indian Restaurants in the past 2-3 months this was the last one to visit. I'd been here before a few years back and thought it was just average from memory.

Lovely restaurant. The staff and owner are extremely attentive and they really made us feel welcome. The food was delicious and fresh, and it is so reasonably priced! Definitely visiting again soon, we eat regularly in this area and I think this is going to be a new favourite! Thanks for a lovely evening.

Ordered a takeaway and what can I say they catered exactly to what I asked for super friendly, efficient, the customer service was the best I have known and the takeaway, well my husband cleared his plate and he's never done that. Exceptional food and service we will definitely order again. Best takeaway food we've had would definitely recommend to anyone :-) ( my birthdays coming up so I might hint to the hubby for a sit down meal aswell :-D ;-) ) 10 stars plus

This was our first visit since it has been refurbished. Staff were very welcoming and obliging. We opted for the banquet menu and can only say it is excellent value. Timely service and delicious food. We will definitely continue to visit.

It was my first time going to the restaurant, we were welcomed in and taken to our table. Ordered our food which came in a timely manner. Made some tweaks to the dishes which they catered for. Nothing was too much. They were attentive and made sure everything was fine and we were topped with our sundries and drinks. Food was lush and the service was amazing. (I’m a sucker for good service) If you’re looking for a nice place to eat with the extra added service, then I would defo recommend this place! Oh and not forgetting prices are pretty decent! :)

We have been visiting Balti Nights for many years and have always had good food. It recently re-opened under new management so we decided to book a table. T, one of the owners, and his staff made us very welcome. The menu is very extensive with a wide range of dishes. We chose from the special 'Banquet Nights' menu which was very good value and plentiful. We wish T and his team all the best at this restaurant and we look forward to visiting again soon.

We have just returned from visiting Balti nights for the first time since it has reopened under new management and all I can say is wow. The food was incredible, the barrah chops were insane. Seriously tasty and plenty of it, honestly I’ve just nearly had to roll my husband out as he didn’t want to leave anything .It iis well worth a visit, the service was lovely, really welcoming and friendly, I’m already planning my next visit.

Well as always outstanding food,atmosphere and the way we were all treated. There were 6!of us and were quickly shown to our table so thumbs up there for the speed and no waiting around then onto the drinks and starters, top notch as always then came the main course I I had the king prawn danshak and chicken .... I have forgot the name but it’s on the combination part and cannot recommend enough the lamb is beaut so if your in the Aldridge area and fancy a great night out I would say try the Balti night I will deffo be back.

Been to Balti Nights tonight for date night with hubby. It was fantastic! The food was amazing, the staff attentive and the decor looks so much brighter! This was one of the nicest meals I have had! Will defiantly be back!

Been here loads of times brilliant service excellent food,sometimes I can't make up my mind and the manager recommends a dish and it gets tweaked more or less spicey depending on what I want but always have enjoyed the good the service .But do book it gets very busy and is only a small place .....

We have visited this restaurant many times over the past few years and have never been disappointed.The pappadums are always dry and crisp and there is a comprehensive menu; in addition the staff are always prepared to be flexible if you want to personalize your choice.There is a very reasonably priced offer available on many nights of the week and a particular strength is the chicken which is consistently juicy and tender, whatever the style of dish. This is not the case with other similar restaurants in the locality.The staff are always very welcoming and friendly.We keep visiting other restaurants in the area but always go back to Balti Nite.

Booked a birthday party was persuaded to have set menu (mistake) 3 courses at a price per head seemed OK (23persons) 2 people broke down on the way to us we were charged for them food was not good and not very much of it some guests went home hungry never again

This curry house does not serve good food, we had a dish which was chicken when we asked for meat so we sent it back. We asked to see the chef and asked him is this the best you can do he replied NO so we asked him why he sent it out then ?
