The best restaurants in Sambourne Stratford-on-Avon West Midlands

Great food, simple fresh ingredients cooked properly by folks that care. What a gem of a place, £8 for a pizza and £5 for a cheesy garlic bread. I'm never ordering franchise pizza again. A true treat.

We had a lovely stay in this old country hotel. The doors lock with old fashioned mechanical keys (not digital cards). The bed was huge and soft - and we had a good night sleep. The breakfast was delicious - a standard full English breakfast. We will visit again if we go to that region.

Thoroughly disappointed with the visit. I was astonished to have the starter, quarter of a lettuce, covered with cheese sauce to be closely followed (almost immediately) by the main course, all brought out together with the vegetables and potatoes By the time I had managed to find a space to eat the starter, the main course had gone cold. The accompanying vegetables were obviously pre made and microwave cooked, also went cold. Then to order a dessert and to be told it was unavailable, the restaurant was empty apart from one other table being used, unreal!! Basically, the last time I would ever come here to eat!!!! I will NOT be recommending your restaurant to anybody. I can't thank you as it was an awful experience!!!

Well green dragon in sambounre the lady who owns the place Has just complained about people parking on her land to go to a funeral in the church she new it was going to happen today it was a lady who went in her pub regular with her husband for Yrs just be respect for her day for family and friends just for 1 hour

Went there on a vibrant Saturday night as to be expected. Staff were fantastic even though they we're rushed off their feet. Food was lovely, kids ate all of it. Jessica ( one of the waitresses) was lovely and couldn't do enough for us. Cheers

Had a great night, last night food was really lovely, service was very good even though it was very busy, my server was Toni, she was really good excellent service thanks for a great time yesterday.

Staff continue to be very helpful and polite and very hardworking.lovely place to have a meal.my issue is with the portions of the meals getting small,the ready made up salads are full of lettuce leaves making it look plenty full but not enough tomatoes or cucumber.ham was a slice but before was very good amount. Putting grapes on a salad doesn’t make up for what you’ve cut back on.plus don’t get chips now with sandwiches your charging separately for them. Meals are still tasty but not value for money I’m sad to say.

16 of us went for Xmas lunch and everyone of us had marvelous food. Great service, reasonable price, the owner even came out to say hello and ask if we had enjoyed our lunches, which was a lovely touch. We will definitely be going back.

Hi not been out for a while I had fish and chips lovely but have you changed your suppler of fish I remember Going there before xmas and the fish was a lot better

This place was recommended by a colleague and I have to say the service was fast very accommodating and the food was absolutely delicious. I must admit after reading the reviews I was sceptical. This place was great, it was full by the time we left.

Mom and I popped in for lunch - what a treat! I chose one of today’s specials - chicken, bacon & leek casserole - so much tender tasty chicken & mom chose pork. There were 5 specials alongside a wide choice on the menu. Great portions, piping hot & staff were so friendly & efficient.

We have dined at The Boot for a number of years, but in all honesty each time we go it’s not as good as it used to be. You used to get a ticket at the end of your meal with the name of the chef that cooked your meal and who had served you, but that stopped a long time ago. Against better advice from a friend who said her daughters birthday meal on New Year’s Eve was very disappointing and the food they were served was poor quality, we went tonight for my husband’s birthday and chose to sit in the bar area. I was surprised how quiet it was as when we went last year it was nearly full in the restaurant. We had olives and bread to start which were ok. My husband ordered the prawn, chorizo and scallop linguine. My daughter had the ‘special’ vegetable linguine, and I ordered the mushroom risotto. I have never sent a meal back, but my mushroom risotto hadn’t been seasoned and when I added salt and pepper it really made no difference and it had a funny taste to it as if it had been reheated, and definitely didn’t taste fresh. My husband said his was ok, but only ok, and again was lacking any seasoning, and my daughter left most of hers for pretty much the same reason. I then ordered a mushroom and cheese starter and a portion of chips, but due to a lack of choice as I’m vegetarian and wanting something quick to eat with my family, it did arrive quickly but again wasn’t the best thing I’ve ever eaten. I was refunded for my main meal and I was given and apology, which was appreciated, but all in all it was very disappointing and underwhelming.

(427) A really lovely country pub with a great atmosphere and friendly staff. We have never had a bad meal there and the beef brisket on our last visit was delicious. Would also really recommend the fish pie. They often have themed specials menus, on this visit it was game, which gives you a lot of options to try. Would highly recommend!
