One of our favourite places to eat in Oswestry. Hidden away behind The Griffin pub. Nice menu. Good food. Large portions. Sensible prices. We waited ages for our food to arrive but when it came it was excellent. Probably a sign of success, the cafe was vet busy which probably led to the delay. We would still highly recommend this establishment.

Really disappointing. I made a reservation and selected the wrong date online. I called the restaurant to say I’d cancelled it and tried to rearrange the reservation for the following week. I was still charged a £10 cancellation fee and they were unable to refund the cancellation fee and change the booking date.

Brilliant time at Knock & Snitch as always, great atmosphere for me and my friends to have some gorgeous cocktails! Couldn’t thank the staff enough, a special mention to Taz for looking after us throughout the night, she did a brilliant job! We will of course be back very soon!

My partner and I were in the area for a few hours and HEAT was recommended to us so we popped in for lunch with our young son. We were definitely not disappointed! The food was exceptionally tasty; so many yummy options to choose from including a brilliant ‘build-a-box’ with a wide range of delicious protein, carbs, fresh veg/salad and homemade sauces. We plumped for a halloumi burger each, with a shared side of ‘dirty fries’ and a smoothie each- one berry and one banana, coconut & lime. The food was incredibly tasty and the smoothies were fruity and refreshing. The staff were all really friendly, smiley, helpful and went out of their way to make our experience with them a good one. The open kitchen to the side of the counter looks impeccably clean and well kept, the food is prepared and cooked from fresh and this takes a little time- which it should- so be prepared to have a wait of a few minutes. The chef let us know that dirty fries usually come with bacon and asked if either of us is veggie. I am, so they helpfully split the portion to give us half in one box without bacon and half in the second box with bacon for my partner. All the food was nicely presented and incredibly tasty. The satay sauce on the sweet potato fries was so yummy. We sat in and ate, whereas most of the cafe’s custom was takeaway while we were there- they obviously do very well from local custom at lunchtime because people were ringing ahead and collecting orders and bringing in lists of orders from their colleagues. They do need to invest in a high chair or two, but this didn’t spoil our visit in any way. Our son was happy enough to sit in his pushchair to eat his packed lunch (& despite being a fussy eater he was chomping away on our fries and halloumi and enjoying sampling our smoothies). Decor in HEAT is stylish and simple and it is very clean and hygienic. All in all a great visit to a really lovely healthy food cafe which deserves the support of local custom. We will certainly be back (we may even travel up from Shrewsbury to Oswestry just to eat here again).

Hatters is a hidden gem, found on the front of Oswestry market. Amazing coffee and yummy tosties, the best in Oswestry by far! I can’t wait to go back and try out a waffle bowl or pancakes!

We were in Oswestry for a short break. It's a lovely town. We went into the old coffee pot for a coffee and cake in the morning when we got there. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The place itself is 1940s styled and has a lot of memorabilia and themed background music. The cakes were homemade and really good, I had a salted caramel cake and the wife had a black forest gateau style cake. Our hotel turned out to be accommodation only and we went back for breakfast the following morning. I had a full English, and the wife had porridge and toast. The food was brilliant, cooked to order and nice and hot. On the way out they had put a victoria sponge out that looked heavenly. If you are in Oswestry go to the old coffee pot.

A Slice of Pizza Heaven in Oswestry! @ambers.pizza is hands down one of the best spots in town. From the moment you walk in, you’re hit with warm & welcoming vibes. The atmosphere is relaxed, making it perfect whether you’re out with family, catching up with friends, or just craving some seriously good pizza. ⭐️5/5 Recommended👍🏻 Price 💸💸 The menu is full of authentic Neapolitan goodness, think beautifully blistered crusts, rich tomato sauce, and fresh, high-quality toppings. Their Margherita is a simple classic, but the creative topping combos on the rest of the menu are just as impressive. We chose the pea and pancetta special, Capricciosa with prosciutto ham and pepperoni - all were delicious. To add to the great food the Ambers team is super friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what they do. If you are visiting Oswestry we highly recommend you visit! #pizza #oswestry #pizzalovers #theshropshirefoodies #foodie #reviews #foodblogger #foodporn #foodheaven #lovefood #goodeats
