My partner and I were in the area for a few hours and HEAT was recommended to us so we popped in for lunch with our young son. We were definitely not disappointed! The food was exceptionally tasty; so many yummy options to choose from including a brilliant ‘build-a-box’ with a wide range of delicious protein, carbs, fresh veg/salad and homemade sauces. We plumped for a halloumi burger each, with a shared side of ‘dirty fries’ and a smoothie each- one berry and one banana, coconut & lime. The food was incredibly tasty and the smoothies were fruity and refreshing. The staff were all really friendly, smiley, helpful and went out of their way to make our experience with them a good one. The open kitchen to the side of the counter looks impeccably clean and well kept, the food is prepared and cooked from fresh and this takes a little time- which it should- so be prepared to have a wait of a few minutes. The chef let us know that dirty fries usually come with bacon and asked if either of us is veggie. I am, so they helpfully split the portion to give us half in one box without bacon and half in the second box with bacon for my partner. All the food was nicely presented and incredibly tasty. The satay sauce on the sweet potato fries was so yummy. We sat in and ate, whereas most of the cafe’s custom was takeaway while we were there- they obviously do very well from local custom at lunchtime because people were ringing ahead and collecting orders and bringing in lists of orders from their colleagues. They do need to invest in a high chair or two, but this didn’t spoil our visit in any way. Our son was happy enough to sit in his pushchair to eat his packed lunch (& despite being a fussy eater he was chomping away on our fries and halloumi and enjoying sampling our smoothies). Decor in HEAT is stylish and simple and it is very clean and hygienic. All in all a great visit to a really lovely healthy food cafe which deserves the support of local custom. We will certainly be back (we may even travel up from Shrewsbury to Oswestry just to eat here again).

Been to HEAT a number of times and had something different every times, and every times it gets even more scrummy. Called up with my order and they said it would be 20 minutes, I walked up after 20 minutes and it was ready. Very friendly staff. I will be going back again very soon.

I went in and had the cooked breakfast this morning and it was fabulous. The food is sourced from high quality local suppliers and the butchers sausages were full of flavour. The bacon medallions were just as tasty and, being trimmed of their fat, gave me less of a worry about the creeping 'middle age spread'! The 'build your own box' menu gives Customers total choice over their meal rather than simply having to have what's on the board and everything is cooked fresh to order. The owners have filled a niche in the market without a doubt. With vegan restaurants seemingly springing up all over the place in Oswestry, it's great that we meat eaters can have a healthy but still wholesome option on the stuff we actually like. The cafe is spotlessly clean, contemporary, light and airy and still cozy, and the service is very welcoming and friendly. Well done for not only providing great food and service but for spotting a gap in the market and giving the town something it needs. I'll bring the Wife and Kids in next time. Wishing you much deserved success.

We've bought our meats from 'the MeatMan' for quite a while and always been impressed with the great customer service, the high quality of the meat and the value for money. So when we heard that Tom was venturing into the 'fast food' business it was a 'no brainer' to go and try it out. The health bar - very clean and tidy presentation with plenty of room to sit in and eat and places to wait if you're taking out. I like the fact that you can see the guys working in the kitchen and can see how clean everything is The food - oh my.. where do I start? My stepdaughter tried the prawn 'build a box' the day before and said it was 'scrummilicious' which I believe means it was pretty good! Today I had a chicken 'build a box' with spicy rice, broccoli and topped off with a homemade satay sauce. It's all freshly cooked for you when you order, so at busier times expect a little bit of a wait - but it is so worth it! The chicken was cooked to perfection, still moist and full of flavour. The rice was spicy without being overpowered by peppers (not a fan of peppers if I'm truthful!!) and the vegetables were cooked al dente. It looks like a small box of food but believe me, appearances are deceiving - it was filled to the brim and very satisfying. Customer Service - on my visit Tom was on the till. I like the fact that when they take your order they take your name, so that when your food is ready they call you by name rather than 'chicken, spicy rice and broccoli'!! Will definitely visit again soon... there's so much more on the menu to try... mmmmm pancakes!!

Great small restaurant with an interesting lunch menu. The food is described fined for sharing and 2 or 3 plates are recommended. I had Danish frikkedellar, my husband had pork belly. Both beautifully presented small lunch portions. The coffee was good, the service unobtrusive and the views from the outside terrace are also good. Not fast food, but stunnngly good food. Also. A good stop for coffee and cake, or Fika.

Ambers Pizza Co was one of the top recommendations for places to eat in Oswestry by our B&B host Michael at Nant Gloyw. The pizza's were superb, reasonably priced and the service quick and friendly. As well as traditional toppings they also had some unusual, but delicious alternatives. I had a Moroccan lamb merguez pizza, which had tomato, mozzarella, spiced lamb mince, red onions, fresh coriander, yoghurt with mint and pomegranate seeds. As well as pizza they had a range of other dishes which looked tempting, including some delicious sounding desserts.

Met up with friends for lunch and was not disappointed. The cafe was clean, and comfortable with a lovely cosy atmosphere. Food was delicious, and loads of vegan/vegetarian choices. A feast for both mouth and eyes! Would highly recommend to anyone.
