Lovely little quaint tea room. Gentleman that owns it was very nice. We stopped before having an appointment in the town centre for our daughter. Never been to Market Drayton before, and thought weād stop and get a late breakfast. The four of us had a full English breakfast each and pot of tea all round. Food was such good quality and we all really enjoyed it. Iād definitely recommend!

This was the first time we had visited The Merchant House and was very pleasantly surprised. From the moment we stepped through the door we were made to feel very welcome and comfortable. The owner/chef/bar tender created 2 delicious cocktails for us. We didn't have time to try one of the extremely tempting meals this time but have booked to come in again next weekend. Highly recommend trying - you will not be disappointed.

Bella Italia Market Drayton. What a fantastic little authentic Italian restaurant and a great addition to Market Drayton's culinary offerings, complementing the already excellent nearby Foodshion (oriental) and Pickles (Indian). The fact that it is fairly small, 4 tables of 4 and a table for 6 gives it a really cosy and intimate vibe but with plenty of space between tables to afford privacy. The decor and lighting is quirky and has been really well thought out to provide a great experience for those seeking either a romantic atmosphere or somewhere different for a small celebration with family and friends. The background music was perfect. The menu is an Italian foodies' delight with a great range of beautifully prepared and presented pasta dishes along with a wide selection of meat dishes all at an excellent price. Thankfully not a pizza in sight! We were a party of 5 and shared the house antipasti (a large selection of cured meats, cheeses, olives and bruschetta) followed by various pasta dishes, Tiramisu or coffee all for less than £25 per head! They have a selection of soft drinks including zero alcohol beer, wine and fizz, or you can take your own alcohol. The service was top notch, attentive but not intrusive. This is definitely our new favourite local restaurant and will return very soon.

We had a fundraising curry evening here at Oruna for the Ginger & Spice Festival. The food was delicious and very good value too. Oruna gave us wonderful service and nothing was too much trouble. They have donated to our cause and raffle for which we are extremely grateful. Thanks Oruna, we'll be back again soon! š§”

Decided to have a chinese takeaway as we just moved to another property in Market Drayton and we knew that the Golden House was yards away which would be very convenient. We strolled to the takeaway and was greeted by lovely staff. We decided to try the Golden house special chow mein, the Singapore fried rice and a side dish of sweet and sour mixed balls. Food was freshly prepared in minutes and we took food back home. Food was hot and looked very presentable. My singapore was Fabulous, just the right heat with plenty of chopped meats and prawns. The girlfriend said her chow mein was lovely with plenty of meats and king prawns but she wasn't too keen on the chicken so I had that too. The mixed ball was lovely but the batter coating was a little thick and soft. We prefer the batter to be thinner and crispy. The sweet and sour sauce was lovely too. Overall the food is lovely and we would use it again but maybe try other dishes š

This is a small coffee shop / cafe in the middle of the town. We both wanted lunch but nothing too heavy. We both chose a bowl of soup - three choices available. We chose one parsnip and one smoked fish chowder. Both came with bread and butter. Both were homemade and delicious. It looked like we were lucky to get a table. Fish Friday looks like itās a popular day to visit Jonesās. If youāre planning on going it would probably be better to book a table.

Came here for a meal with family for a birthday last night (25/10/24). The food was fantastic, full of flavour and fresh, but the service, lacks severely. It took nigh on 15 minutes to present us with the bill, to which we reviewed and found they had added £10+. We looked at the menu we were presented with when entering and found that they had increased each meal we had by £2. Yes, £2 isn't too much of an increase, but it is the principal of it. Without any prior notice, they had increased the prices without changing it on the menu we were handed. They also said the card machine was not working, even though we saw a customer (who happened to be my uncle) come in and pay on card (via contactless) as he had no cash. It's such a shame to be honest. The food itself as aforementioned is brilliant, but the service from the 'manager' is disappointing and very poor. He did not even apologise for trying to pull the wool over our eyes with the prices. Check your final bill when it comes to the table and make sure nothing has been added on.

A cosy, characterful place with excellent, reasonably priced food and drinks. The menu features all the smokehouse classics, done to perfection, plus some specials including the suicide wings (laced with Carolina Reaper!). Weāve visited similar places in nearby Nantwich and Baldwinās Gate, but the food here beat them hands down, as did the service, which was warm, friendly and professional. Weāll be back!

We have had lovely lunches here previously so went with high expectations. The ciabattas are delicious & come with some salad, coleslaw & crisps. Sadly the salad bowl, as a main option, was expensive for what it was & extremely disappointing. Lettuce (Iceberg & way too much), cucumber, red pepper (way too much), celery, tomato & onion. So boring & unimaginative & a very poor option for vegans & vegetarian. I ate my husbandās crisps which helped. I love salad and eat it every day for lunch, but this defeated me when it could have been livened up quite easily - even some coleslaw would have helped.

Always amazing food, lovely staff, will kindly adapt any order to suit the customers needs, they always give me free coke and prawn crackers and the bbq sauce is the best in town (Iāve tried them all and this is by far my favourite) - wouldnāt go anywhere else for takeaway Chinese. But would be good if they could take card payments. Not sure why previous reviews say they arenāt open regularly- they are just closed on Wednesday.
